I have got to wonder what Nintendo is thinking in this mess. If Game Freak is dividing its attention at a crucial time in the franchise's history, then I can imagine big N will be breathing down their necks from now to November.
I don't think they care . Nintendo now is the go to company is you want to see titties in vidya. Sony is for children clearly, that's why they have to censor everything & make all their characters ugly or wear a burka.

Have any of you heard about how the translator missed out of some the info that Masuda and Ohmori stated? Apparently they said that they will have to limit the number of pokemon in not just this title, but in all the mainline games in the upcoming future in order to be able to go back to their original schedule of releasing a new game once a year.

Here's the video that explained it in a bit more detail:
I am less disappointed.

Nobody thinks that, Nintendo is only known for Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon they're not known for tits at all. Sony is known for literally everything else because the playstation has no real mascot and everything comes to Sony's systems.

Sony more or less is attributed to giving a ton of major franchises their start, Resident Evil, Dark Souls, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, Metal gear, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, etc.

You know what's going to happen to Pokemon? They make so much money from mobile they're going to stop making console games. It's going to become another dead Nintendo series just like the rows of other discontinued Nintendo franchises. Maybe you'll get one new game every 15 years like Metroid but it's effectively dead.

I highly doubt Pokemon's gonna die any time soon.

They already killed the spinoffs, the series will go all mobile and the console series will be dead.

Gamefreak itself might even be jettisoned by Nintendo, just like how Nintendo got rid of Rare. Why keep a company on that makes a more costly game about your property on when the cheaper mobile version makes 3-4 times as more as the expensive game?

Thats why Gamefreak is making town, it's an attempt to stay relevant. Just like how Monolithsoft makes Xenoblade gamefreak is trying to make a non-pokemon series to stay in nintendo's good graces so they're not kicked to the curb. Gamefreak needs Nintendo more than Nintendo does Gamefreak.

I can believe that Nintendo wants to make big bucks with GO and more mobile properties but I doubt they'd want the mainline to end. Without it, they'd be stuck with the amount of Pokemon they have forever and it also means no more new settings for the anime, no more new Pokemon to sell for merchandise, no more Pokemon to sell in TCG. Their consoles also depend on these games, as they are system sellers alongside the likes of Mario, LoZ, and Animal Crossing.
If they took it straight to mobile, Nintendo and TCPi would be slicing their throats for short term gains. I doubt you could have a series on mobile with the scope of the mainline that introduces as many pokemon. Phones are strong but storage wise, they only have so much room.

Detective Pikachu 2 will be their last spin-off, then? Nah, that sounds like a weak way to end their spin-off line. They should go out with a bang like, mmm, I dunno, Pokémon Snap 2, perhaps? Or another Ranger or Pinball game. Hell, I'll take another puzzle game, it's been ages.

Detective Pikachu will be a movie and theme park property.

Nintendo has made many decisions like that before. Lets not forget that the fucking playstation would not exist if Nintendo didn't try and fuck with the deal for short term gain.

And they could tottaly make new pokmon for GO. Have it be a big fucking event the first new GO pokemon.

People don't care about the scope of pokemon games, if they did the last 3 games would not look like weakass attempts that Yo-Kai watch or Ni-no Kuni could put to shame. The Sword and Shield looking as limited as it is doesn't seem promising either. Tales of Series has a larger scope than most pokemon games.

Hell Tales of just got a new engine so their scope of the game could increase.

Go has eclipsed the main series just like how World of Warcraft eclipsed it's original series.
