Wow the years sure haven't been kind to Jem and the Holograms.

On a serious note it seems the shit storm around her "sexualized" outfit has been upstaged by "white washed" art. Fans do this shit all the time. It doesn't matter if the character isn't black if they aren't the color of coal it is considered white washing. This backlash is just going to drive people away from creating non white characters. Then they wonder why there is no representation in media.
It's not that it's going to drive them away. It's only going to have these guys draw characters "the wrong way" just to spite these mouth-breathers.

There is some God-tier baiting going on in /vp/ right now

Have any of you heard about how the translator missed out of some the info that Masuda and Ohmori stated? Apparently they said that they will have to limit the number of pokemon in not just this title, but in all the mainline games in the upcoming future in order to be able to go back to their original schedule of releasing a new game once a year.

Here's the video that explained it in a bit more detail:
Two people (one on 4chan and another on Reddit) translated it and came up with the same thing, the guy from Reddit even used an official transcript.

Did gamefreak never learn to use a fucking compression tool since iwata?
For being a billion worth company there sure as hell filled with the most incompetent people in the industry

Gamefreak is Japanese EA except with the uncanny Poke-Ability of being able to do stupid shit and have usually actually smart people even being willing to defend such shit. It's absolutely astonishing. This series has survived on it's character design, music, anime, and merchandise. The games are just more money that people pretend is going towards something enjoyable. That's how it's been since Masuda gave up when people shit on Black and White and it's been that way since X and Y.

I'm trying to think of what possible new additions we could get in Sword and Shield never before seen.

Cars? (Lmao never)

What a fucking cunt. Weren't all these knuckle draggers crying that Elon Musk didn't credit art? What happened to all of those ethics in the art community? This is what you get when you give a foot to someone who doesn't deserve it, they fuck you in the ass because they feel entitled too. I wonder how they would react if you took his art & altered it while giving the same shitty response that he gave? Remember it's not stealing or forgery if it's a learning experience for the fuckwit.
It's more rules for thee and not for me because they dont like Elon Musk for something something he's an alt right anime bro.

I don't know, people treat him like he did a Notch and ranted about how much he hates trannies but I haven't seen anything that he's donebesides him trying to be an anime shitposter, and flipping out and calling someone a pedo because he didn't get to larp as Tony Stark and rescue those asian kids trapped in the cave with his submarine.

To be on topic, why is Nessa even such a controversial character? She's not the first black Pokemon character and certainly not the first dark skinned one.

Let's see... does Brock count as black? If that is the case, then you could say there have been black characters since Gen 1. If not, then there is still Lenore, Marshall, and Iris from Gen 5, Grant from Gen 6, and Olivia from Gen 7.

Brock always seemed to me like he's from some other specific Asian country outside Japan.
What about Admin Shelly from Team Aqua, Phoebe from of the Elite Four, and Candela from Go?
Do those gals count at all?

She's not controversial, in fact she's extremely popular, the whole "controversy" just comes from the SJWs harassing artists for not drawing her "dark enough". Seriously, just because of lighting.

Wtf "much needed diversity" my ass, they’re forgetting this is a Japanese game made by Japanese people, if you were growing up in Tokyo in the 90’s for example you wouldn’t be thinking "hm, these pale skinned characters from KANTO and JOHTO must be white devils!" Brock and Phoebe could be anything from SEA or naturally darker skinned Japanese. Phoebe’s design is vaguely Hawaiian but none of that shit matters anyway because none of it exists in Pokemon.

But we know they don’t actually play or care about these games, they wouldn’t know how Shelly got racebent from a bland looking ginger to a dark skinned badass pirate with a much better outfit. Actually, the entirety of Team Aqua got BLACKED and a lot of water type trainers are brown skinned to show they’re tropical surf nuts. But I don’t see these lefty keyboard warriors lining up to give Game Freak a medal.
