So how come you need to have the Wailmer Pail to battle Sudowoodo to get to Ecruteak if you can just get yourself a Water-type to use Water Gun on it and have the same effect?

It’s a pile of sentient jizz. It’s pink because 🤔... it’s blushing.

Oh goddamn it, it's Mewtwo's jizz, isn't it. :cryblood:

Any explanation why these two can breed but Nidoking and Nidoqueen can't?

Nobody really knows why but for some reason Nidorina and Nidoqueen are in the Undiscovered egg group (aka the group legendaries and certain other mons are in). It could be assumed it was an error when they implemented the breeding mechanic in gen II yet it hasn't been fixed after two decades. One of the more puzzling mysteries of the franchise on a programming level.

Some evolutions are fucking bizarre. How does this...

...evolve into this?

According to beta stuff, these two were supposed to be more weapon-themed, with Remoraid being a fish-gun and Octillery being an octo-tank/turret. So I guess the link between them was a weapons/military theme that got lost after the beta stage.

Well, Octillery does sound like artillery, and Remoraid does kinda look like a gun, so I can believe that. But how do you explain this?

Why does Golem look like some kind of tortoise?

Nothing official, but some dorks claim that its possible that this was like an early attempt at "DNA digivolving" shit, like that knight and ninja bug in Black and White. For example, in that game if you trade the knight bug with the black bug, the black bug gets the knight armor and becomes a knight bug, and the knight bug becomes blackish and a ninja.

So the same was probably going to be the case with Graveler and Machoke since Golem and Machamp share similarities. Machoke had two arms, but when traded gets four arms and it loses its reptilian face. Graveler had four arms but when traded loses two arms and its head becomes reptilian. Graveler also had no fangs but Machoke did which gets switched when they evolved. My guess is that they might've planned to have these two evolve only by trading GravelerxMachoke, but limitations at the time kept that from happening I guess.

That's a pretty good theory, I must say. And I always thought the Shelmet-Karrablast trading thing was kinda clever.

I haven't played any of the new games after black and white so I got to ask, do they add more of this DNA digivolving thing in the new games? It did seem like a promising mechanic.

Cute baby squid and evil bizarro squid. So let me guess, is it water/psychic that becomes water/dark? That would be an interesting thing to do if it evolves by putting it upside down and making it the opposite secondary type of what it was.
Both are actually Dark/Psychic, are only found on land, and only learn Rain Dance for a Water move.

Probably was a bug that turned into a feature

No, but almost ever gen has that one Pokémon with a totally unique evolution thing. There’s Shedinja in Gen 3, Inkay in Gen 6, Shelmat/Karrablast in 5, Clampearl in 4, Wishwashi(kinda) in 7...

What's up with clampearl? I thought it just evolved by trading with a held item. Also I'm pretty sure it's g3.

Depending on the held item, evolves differently. You’re right about the Gen though, that’s my bad.

Rotom. Rotom had the unique evolution thing in Gen 4.

How did it take so long for fairy types to be discovered when there was a fairy type 1000 years ago in kalos?
What is the average intelligence of a pokemon? Sometimes they seem purely animal and sometimes purely human.
Are there multiple regi pokemon? They're golems so they could be artificially created.
If the Ultraverse beasts are supposed to be the normal pokemon of the ultraverse, does that mean the legendary pokemon in the ultraverse are even stronger?
Are there cats or not? There's a lot of pokemon that are subtitled with the animal as the pokemon type.
How are hamburgers a thing? Unless there is an actual hamburg and it isn't change crumbella town or something.
What is the percentage of people who live with pokemon or are pokemon trainers? there seems to be a lot but how does the society sustain itself?
If shinies are recessive genes how come there are no other recessive genes like blindness, dwarfism or retardation?
If every Yamask has their original deathmask attached to themselves, does that mean all yamask were significant people in ancient Unova or was at just common for them to do that?
How do I get a Jynx gf I am really lonely plese help me?
How are there ghost people who aren't ghost pokemon? I.E. Forest mansion, desert mansion, spooky goth ghost in office building.
Why aren't more buildings accomodating to larger pokemon? you'd think if society was equal with them we'd have doors that could fit rhydons and the like.
Are the fossil pokemon accurate reconstructions of their prehistoric selves or is it possible that none of them are originally rock type and its fossilization that caused that change?
How come some pokemon aren't elevated in higher parts of society than humans? Alakazam seems like they should control the world because they're all so smart.
How come the police all use growlithes? Wouldn't fire pokemon be more dangerous to the job?
How do the items like leaf stone work for some pokemon but not for others? What exactly is exp and levels?
