Captain Marvel beats up and robs a dude who was flirting with her.

Mauler had this great podcast where he and a couple of other people are talking about this guy who they called 'The Don'. They made up this elaborate backstory that just kept getting darker and more hilarious. First he was just coming back from the local soup kitchen, then he was running a retreat for orphans, then it was his wife died and his friends were telling him to go out and meet women, and it de-evolved to where he was this wounded veteran whose wife died a long time ago and he's just getting over her, his friends tell him to go and meet women. He meets Captain Marvel who he tries flirting with confidence, gets his bike stolen (which was given to him by his long dead wife and needed for work), the hand he shook Captain Marvel with was broken, so he couldn't play catch with his son. Then because he lost the bike they had to sell his house and his dog. Frankly, it was fucking hilarious as they just keep going into this poor motherfucker's backstory at how Captain Marvel just blatantly steals this guy's shit because he lightly flirted with her. They gave this random biker more characterization than Captain Marvel has in her entire movie.

I mean, even the fucking editors were cognizant of how that would look. Why they would release that is a fucking mystery and its quite obvious as to why it was cut.

EDIT:
Here's the podcast, the story of the Don starts about an hour and a half so into it:

My favourite What Aboutism with this scene is screeching about how Cap America threw a guy off a building and nobody said bad bad things about that!!!!

Likely because the guy was an actual, confirmed super villain with grand designs of genocide. Even then Cap had plans in place to stop the guy being physically injured.

Maybe there was a deleted scene where he threw Peggy Carter off a roof because of how she groped his man tits after the transformation.

Now that you’ve mentioned “super villain”, I figured that the deleted scene would’ve been less offensive had the guy been a Skrull instead, even if he did the exact same cat-call.

Captain America beats the shit out of Nazis.
Iron Man beats the shit out of Terrorists.
Thor beats the shit out of Frost Giants.
Spider Man beats the shit out of Criminals.
Captain Marvel beats the shit out of someone that finds her attractive and thinks she should smile.

You can see what dumb SJW bitches think is on par with true evil. A real sign their emotional condition warrants them being institutionalized.

Curious as to what point they think is being proven.

They were upset by the backlash to CM so they're calling everyone who is upsetting them "triggered". It's just projection.
And I don't get the constant comparison to Terminator. Most of the people who do horrible things to the people in our time are cyborgs literally designed to kill all humans. Terminator is R-rated, this is MCU stuff. For when an actual human does something, it's explained by damaged people rationalizing having to do bad things with a nuclear variant of the Trolley Problem:

The biggest problem with Captain marvel is she is Superman and/or Goku It's why I said the CW Supergirl does it better.

Superman is usually the most boring ass hero because he's too good at everything. Unless there's a plot that revolves around a problem that having super every power can't solve you end up with what we got in the Captain marvel movie and endgame. Politics be damned.

Now for a sentence about politics.

Plus, at least the pandering the CW Supergirl show did was blatant. Not to mention Supergirl doesn't come off as a complete turbo bitch to anyone trying to work with her.

When thanos is more likeable or at least sympathetic than your Superman analogue, you got some problems.

At least Superman has almost always been fundamentally good - boring be damned - and is a character that has shown a great deal of humanity over the course of his existence.

Captain Marvel can't seem to decide just how self-important she wants to be.

Disney is fucking terrified of having fucked up yet another property by making this boring fucking cunt the center of the MCU. Somehow, Bob Iger thinks by magically erasing videos, he makes the criticism go away.

RDJ became the center of the MCU organically, thanks to his charisma and personality. His humor and style. And you're going to replace it with charisma void Captain Marvel? RDJ earned that position. The problem is there's no handing off the torch. You can't predict what audiences are going to latch onto. The best way to carry the MCU forward would be smaller scale, individual films. You've amped everyone up with Infinity War, bring them back down. Do new characters you have with Fox, have sequels with the characters you do have and see who catches the audience. Then develop them as the center of the next big plot.

You can't just go "WE'RE GIVING IT TO A WOMAN NOW." What happens if audience suddenly go batshit for Doctor Strange in his sequel, now that most of the cast is gone? Or latch onto Black Panther? How are you going to predict that? You're going to push this concept on everyone, without even testing the waters first with a movie or two? Like this stupid cunt was pushed to the head of the MCU the second her movie was announced. And she was as well-received as about a wet fart. It made cash, but she's expected to be that leader. If other movies out-gross her, and her popularity craters (it has, she's not a popular character, I don't give a fuck what media says). Her movie was basically impossible to lose money on because they hyped it up as needing to see endgame, and there are MCU completionists out there who will see any film just to complete continuity. When Captain Marvel was just another tepid origin story, except with a totally unlikable/and-or boring protagonist. Yeah, you had to be fucking re.tarded to make Captain Marvel lose money. So it was always going to make money. Problem is, that was riding high off Endgame hype. That's over now and we're back to rebuilding.

So there's no need for MCU completionists to see it, nor is there this gigantic movie with the ending to the biggest cliff-hanger in possibly all of blockbuster history to lead Captain Marvel into money territory. They NEED her to succeed, no matter what. That's why Disney is out in full mega-corp mode, trying to stomp this shit out. If Captain Marvel were popular enough and decent enough to make it on her own, Disney would not be throwing its weight around. Which tells me they KNOW she isn't popular AT ALL.

Those stupid faggots signed this dumb bitch for seven movies without even fucking checking if anyone would want her leading it or would want to see her in seven movies. 7 movies. Without releasing one. And now that she needs to stand on her own, market research is coming back "Hey guys, you really fucked up. Nobody likes her and she's leading your franchise for the next decade." So Disney is unleashing the checks and the pressure and the woke brigade because its pissing itself. If Captain Marvel was a strong character on her own and people were fucking killing themselves waiting for her next movie, would Disney be doing this? No. Don't see Warner doing this for Wonder Woman.

Oh, that's right, because its basically universally accepted that Wonder Woman was the best thing about the DCEU. So she can hold her own. So there's basically very, very very little negative backlash surrounding her. If you were to announce Wonder Woman leading the MCU, I think people would be all over that shit. Except, well, she can't. So the argument doesn't hold up that comics fans or movie fans don't like strong female leads or are misogynist. The argument is getting extremely stale and everyone is noticing that its just with certain properties with awful fucking leads. Liked Alita? Liked Wonder Woman? Hated Captain Marvel? WELL THAT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE A MISOGYNIST, NO IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL JUST ACCEPT WHAT WE FUCKING TELL YOU AND LOVE OUR PURE SKIN-WHITE-AS-SNOW BLONDE-HAIRED BLUE EYED ARYAN SUPERWOMAN YOU ALT-RIGHT FUCKS (Thinking about it, making Captain Marvel the center-piece of MCU was pure corporate sociopathy. Brie Larson, bland white girl for the midwest, "YAS QKWEEN SLAY" for the cities. A literal cracker, if you will. Tasteless, dimensionless, flat as a board, leaving you thoroughly unfulfilled and wanting more with just the taste of starch in your mouth. Some executive immediately got an erection over this basic bitch sociopathic manipulation of the market and rushed to Brie Larson's flat ass to kiss it and get her to sign seven movies. Too bad this was probably Bob Iger, that souless faggot. So no executives are going to end up on the chopping block).

It is very clear that Disney knows it fucked up, knows that Captain Marvel is unpopular and is doing everything in its power to somehow reverse this opinion by eliminating it. I don't think any amount of damage control will make Brie Larson like-able or audiences accepting of her. Even when comics were at their height, Captain Marvel was a C-Lister AT BEST. Mostly she rode that thin line between C-List and D-List. Marvel never really had stand-out female leads or that solo Wonder Woman. Strong women were tied to every franchise, sure. But there never really was that Wonder Woman, Superman-esque stand-alone. You were never going to get that, because Captain Marvel was never popular. Logically, it would make WAY more sense for Black Panther to lead the MCU than fucking Brie Larson. Leader of an advanced kingdom, Wakanda could be the shield of humanity, get some woke points, everyone liked that movie anyway. So why not? Oh, its because he's black. (Yeah, it absolutely is). They're terrified of a charismatic Black Man with a strong movie on his own without any help leading their universe but will hand it off to a boring, white cunt whose movie only succeeded because it was the lead-in to one of the biggest blockbusters of all time and then basically shield her because she can't stand on her own. DISNEY, SO WOKE.

I think the problems are going to set in, because basically the MCU working was a wonderful surprise. It happened and grew organically. Now that you've got people coming in and trying to force that magic back into things. I don't know. But them doing this shielding for her, more than anything else as far as I can recall, isn't a good sign.

Ive gotta say that sir is the most satisfying post I’ve read all year

I really doubt they care, or are even vaguely aware of it. Studios strike down shit constantly. Captain Marvel comics might tank, but Larson Marvel merch is fucking everywhere. I see normies wearing CM shirts everywhere just like I see WW swag all of the time.

I'm going to upset a certain special someone by getting all very autistic and mad and raging because people are picking on my sweet Car-Car, but I don't understand where you people are seeing this grand backlash against the Larson Cinematic Universe outside of insider hints and totally legitimate talk of completely empty movie theaters.

Feed me my delicious Autistic ratings, plz.

Seriously? There was a shit-ton of shenanigans with Rotten Tomatoes, comments and everything around the time of that movie's release. I've never seen fuckery like that to defend a boring cracker before. Even Sony: Ghostbusters just deleted comments to try and tip the scales, but just eventually gave up. Because they didn't invest 7 movies in her. These were manual strikes. And the shilling has been fucking relentless from day one. I NEVER saw it this bad with Black Panther, nor did I see the fuckery with reviews and videos for that character. There is a reason for that. 1) Black Panther is a better character and 2) They didn't make him the literal center of their universe

You don't just slash down videos over a, I want to stress this, deleted scene. A scene not included in your project, which everyone agrees was for a very good reason and the editor who did that probably saved the MCU a lot of money. All Disney or the MCU had to say in response. 'This was a scene we thought didn't fit in the vision for Carol Danvers and we removed it. It does not represent the character in the property. Many decisions like this go on all the time behind the scenes.' And that was that, just leave the videos up. But they just tried to streisand this shit.

You're free to like her, that's fine. I don't know why, she's boring, but people like boring shit all the time. I think making her the center is a gigantic fuck-up, they know its a gigantic fuck-up, hence why there's this massive damage control effort constantly over her. This might also be a residual result of Disney crashing Star Wars into the ground with no survivors. So it might be different if Star Wars was in an ok place, they might not be as sensitive. But the MCU is the biggest thing they've got left and with her at the center, they very much care.

Because they had already announced they were going to fuck with it, and had attempted once before. Way back in the thread I pointed out that they pretty much exposed their power level by all doing it at once, the second the thing opened, it essentially tipped off everyone to the fact it was being trolled. The thing had more reviews in the first 24 hours than Infinity War had gotten in it's entire run, obviously people are going to notice.

People sperged hardcore about BP. This movie got it more but there's no way you hadn't seen anyone freaking the fuck out over BP and the "forced diversity" of it, at least on 4chan and comic websites people were already clamoring for it to tank and teach them a lesson about "giving away" the franchise.

It's a deleted scene that's included in a DVD/Blu Ray they're trying to sell in like 3 days. It has nothing to do with the fact that they're humiliated that people are teasing their fictional character, it's because they're trying to hock merch and are generally quite strict about people using it to make money off of. There was quite a controversy about this before and, like now, people immediately assumed it was because studios are panicking about being mad fun of for their product. It's not, it's because historically studios are quite fickle on people trying to use their material for third parties to profit off of. This has been a thing/"problem" forever.

I don't like the character or movie and called it objectively not as good as Aquaman. But to sit here and imply it's obvious that Disney realized have the making of a franchise killer and are making desperate moves to try and mitigate the damage (what's the actual plan there, anyway? People just won't realize Larson sucks if they don't see those videos and will go pay for tickets they otherwise wouldn't have if they stayed up?) is reaching Geeks + Gamers levels of "We forced them to use the version of the movie where Brie's all but cut out! They're afraid of us!" levels of delusion. Generally billion dollar box office returns aren't the signals for disaster, and even if they decided to go on a blitz to smash dissent, I would imagine it would take significantly more than a bunch of dorks making mean faces in front of book cases filled with Funko Pops to put that fear into them.

tl;dr everyone is acting like literal Doug Walkers over this shit. When was the last time Doug Walker wasn't monumentally misguided over something he was upset about?

Everything you say may be true but the point is the random ass housewife in Nebraska doesn't know about or care about what's happening with some reviewer or critic on YouTube. Their money is just as green as yours and Disney knows it.

The difference between Captain marvel and Ghostbusters 2016 is the Captain marvel was actually a competently made movie.

Edit because apparently the post above me wasn't there when I started typing this. And I don't know why I was too idiotic to quote.

Ghidorah's three heads have individually more memorable personalities than Marvel.

True. And Godzilla has more of a hero's journey in the new movie than Captain Marvel ever did. Godzilla emoted more times in his new movie, too.

I typically find the phrase "YAS QUEEN" to be nauseating ... But I almost fucking said it in the movie theater when Mothra was kicking ass in the new Godzilla movie.

Queen of the Monsters, indeed!

I mean, I did, but yelling about forced diversity about a movie in Africa made me roll my eyes. I also don't really consider racist trolls, especially over good films. The film was legit good, the character was good, the only eye-rolling was her sister, but her character was young and she was portrayed as kind of a brat so there's not even that. Disney is doing way more for Captain Marvel than it did for Black Panther, because audience reaction was extremely positive and I think even topped the critic score. Pretty much everyone liked it.

My point is, Disney didn't do this for BP, because there was a clear amount of love for it. Disney is doing this for Captain Marvel, to a much larger extent, because they made her the center of a franchise. They're protecting that investment extremely ferociously.

Dude, corporations have made really stupid moves to try and quash shit all the time with the goal completely opposite as to what they do. Its because they don't understand the internet.

You seem to have pushed this position that I'm cheering that Disney is afraid. It is. That's a simple fact. Starwars is fucked into the ground, and that's not because of dorks. They've got one big gun left, and that's the MCU. Of course they're afraid of having that tank. To lose two billion dollar franchises within a few years of each other? That's catastrophic. So it makes sense they'd be overly sensitive.

That's just what I'm seeing here. The need something amazing and not mediocre, which is what CM is. So of course they're overly sensitive.
