no no no bro you dont understand!
america actually intentionally crashed the oil market specifically to hurt venezuela! it's the power of the petrodollar, man!
also the CIA is sabotaging local industries in venezuela all the time, that's why nothing works! and US trade embargos are the reason for their goods shortages!
really man! if the mean old imperialists from washington would just leave them alone, venezuela would quickly become a shining example of fully automated gay space communism! but the fat cat capitalists in the US don't want that, so they do whatever they can to keep venezuela down out of pure spite!
Saudi Arabia crashed the oil market to try and kill US and specifically Canadian shale oil production. I know you’re being sarcastic but that’s something the maoists don’t understand or want to believe I guess.

The US has done some shitty stuff in South America but Venezuela, due to Chavez duping idiots and poor people, fucked the country. It wasn’t the US that’s forced Chavez to hire cronies and corrupted the government. People can’t eat in Venezuela, there’s no food available. All the fault of Chavez and then Maduro.

Edit: it’s obscene r/latestagecapitalism is also disregarding the starvation and lack of food staples due to chavez/Maduro policies. So much for that compassion and muh empathy.

responding seriously to a joke post

The director of the CNE (aka our electoral organization) appeared to give declarations and is practically 1 hour of her giving mental blowjobs to Maduro, she forgot that she is already sanctioned by the USA and no one give a damn about what she thinks, funny she "tried" to pretend to be neutral in all the past elections but she slipped and called USA a empire and that she doesnt recognize Guaido, the reaction on Twitter was "go fuck yourself" considering she has a long story of fixing elections and negating electoral process that doesnt benefit Maduro

This begs the question why America needs an army anymore if they can so easily convince enemy nations to totally mismanage the production of their one important export.

Probably to ensure no civil unrest within the us borders threatens the powers that be.

Take a look at the frontpage of /r/ChapoTrapHouse, same thing... with the addition that they're being edgelords about it.
Amazing how ever since the end of WWII hardcore socialism keep capturing the minds of the people against all logic or reason.

I'm honestly surprised they never managed to get their own Community Watch thread, they're certainly retarded enough to spin off of the various other related ones.

Its almost as if there are butthurt Socialists that infect the Hallowed Halls of Academia with the arrogant hopes that they can finally mold the successful Socialist Country.

Bloomberg wrote an article criticising the State Departments's decision

https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/a...venezuela-s-guaido-is-disguised-regime-change

The official State Department declaration of recognition for Guaidó cites Article 233 of the Venezuelan charter, one of the world’s longest. Beyond that, it doesn’t give much legal justification.

Following the link you find

The United States recognizes Juan Guaido as the new interim President of Venezuela, and strongly supports his courageous decision to assume that role pursuant to Article 233 of Venezuela’s constitution and supported by the National Assembly, in restoring democracy to Venezuela. As President Trump said, “The people of Venezuela have courageously spoken out against Maduro and his regime and demanded freedom and the rule of law.”

Actually Artice 233 isn't that complicated

https://venezuelanalysis.com/constitution/title/5

Article 233: The President of the Republic shall become permanently unavailable to serve by reason of any of the following events: death; resignation; removal from office by decision of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice; permanent physical or mental disability certified by a medical board designated by the Supreme Tribunal of Justice with the approval of the National Assembly; abandonment of his position, duly declared by the National Assembly; and recall by popular vote.

I.e. the National Assembly can vote a president out of power - 'abandonment of his position, duly declared by the National Assembly'. Which they did

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Guaidó#Assumption_of_presidential_powers_and_duties

After what he and others described as the "illegitimate" inauguration of Maduro on 10 January 2019, Guaidó announced he would challenge Maduro's claim and held a rally the following day, where the National Assembly announced he had assumed the powers and duties of president and they would continue to plan to remove Maduro, contributing to the presidential crisis.[31][32] The Venezuelan foreign minister responded with saying "You see this man, who nobody knows in Venezuela—you ask in the streets, 'Who is Juan Guaidó?' and nobody knows him—but he's being pushed to say that he is the new president, by the U.S".[33]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_...s#National_Assembly_declares_Guaidó_president

Following Guaidó's speech, the National Assembly initially released a press statement saying that Guaidó had taken the role of acting president. A later statement replaced this one and the position of Guaidó was clarified, reinforcing that he was recognized as acting president but that the legislature also needed to re-assume their power.[109] This motion was not considered a coup d'état based on the acknowledged "illegitimacy" of Maduro by many governments, and the constitutional processes that the National Assembly were following.[110] Specifically, they invoked Articles 233, 333, and 350.[107] On this day, Guaidó received a letter from the President of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice of Venezuela in exile, which is based in Panama, requesting him to become acting president of Venezuela.[111]

333 is interesting

Article 333: This Constitution shall not cease to be in effect if it ceases to be observed due to acts of force or because or repeal in any manner other than as provided for herein.

In such eventuality, every citizen, whether or not vested with official authority, has a duty to assist in bringing it back into actual effect.

I.e. the idea is Maduro's inauguration was illegitimate and all they're trying to do is to reintroduce constitutional rule

350 is on much the same lines

Article 350: The people of Venezuela, true to their republican tradition and their struggle for independence, peace and freedom, shall disown any regime, legislation or authority that violates democratic values, principles and guarantees or encroaches upon human rights.

I think it's fair to say the Chavistas probably should have got a lawyer to read this shit more carefully because it seems like the National Assembly can simply declare Guaido as acting president.

You can't sustain a thread off of redditors endlessly bitching about landlords and begging for dick pics from anyone breaking the local groupthink.
