Just a friendly FYI: You can usually remove most stuff after a question mark in a URL. Amazon, in particular, produces some hefty links, but only needs a few path segments to work.

Voila: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0762493410

Of course, some people know this and just dgaf.

(I went ahead and corrected the domain for you, too. No thanks required!)

Not autistic by itself, but I should mention that I bought it while at a hotel to help improve the flooring situation, if possible. 🤮

WCF mini of Zarbon and Artbox cards from 1999, I almost got a crazy good deal on few prism holo/gold foil cards of Frieza last weekend but Ebay shit itself and checkout wasn't working. I was able to get one of Form 3 Frieza for a good price before that happened.

These are sticker packs from 2000, I like to do collages so I thought that both the stickers and the packaging would be fun to use. Now I'm finding that they're *too* cool and also larger than I expected, so I might just keep them in my sticker binder.
As for less autistic, non-weeby, purchases I got a nice hardcover edition of Treasure Island.

Ebay spelunking paid off big time today. I took a chance and tossed in a bid on a Linhof Super Technika V 4x5 camera in unknown condition that came in a case with a bunch of random unknown accessories. It was apparent the seller was an estate sale scalper and didn't know what they had, so it could have either been completely trashed with a box full of junk, or in excellent condition with some very valuable accessories.

It arrived today and turned out to be the latter: the camera is in near-perfect condition apart from the expected dried out grease and some flaking finish on the inside of the bed (nothing that a few hours on the workbench with some q tips and isopropyl alcohol won't fix) and came with three lenses: a 90mm wide angle, 150mm normal, and 270mm short telephoto, and the rangefinder cams to go with them. All original Schneider-Kreuznach lenses in Compur shutters with the glass in immaculate condition. A couple of the shutters are a little sticky on the slower speeds, but I suspect a bit of cleaning and oiling will fix that right up. I will have to double check the bellows to make sure there aren't any pinholes, but they look fine on cursory inspection.

It also came with two viewfinders and a grip for a Hasselblad, also in great condition, which will resell for a good bit of cash (I don't have Hasselblad money lmao).

Even without factoring in the value of the Hasselblad parts, the whole outfit is easily worth 2 to 3 times what I paid for it.

Linhof cameras are real gems. Looks like you got one hell of a deal. I've have a Technika V myself, paired with a 135mm Nikkor, purchased some years ago. As far as large format cameras go, they're very portable. Unfortunately 4x5 film is getting more and more expensive these days, and I can't justify using it as much as I would like to.

I'm amazed they still make these cameras brand new. I ended up buying a few accessories directly from the factory in Munich, and they've got quite an inventory.

Yeah I'm very happy with it. I started out in 4x5 land with a Calumet monorail, which is amazingly flexible for shooting, but absolutely miserable to hump through national parks with, especially when you factor in the 20 pound tripod you need to properly stabilize it. I acquired a Graflex Crown Graphic in order to have something a little more portable, but ended up being frustrated by the lack of movements. I really like to use back tilt to adjust perspective, and while you can sort of do that on the Graflex by dropping the bed and tilting the whole camera back, it's a huge PITA. So I'm very excited to have the Linhof, which has a lot more movement than the Graflex and just better quality of life features. I'm not getting rid of Graflex because it's a nice piece of history (I'm not a camera horder I swear...) but it will be relegated to a display piece for my office.

It is actually a Technika IV, not a V, but that works out well because I prefer the knob for adjusting front rise over the weird ratchet thing that the V has, and it came with matched rangefinder cams for all the lenses already, which eliminates the main problem with the IV. Not that I use the rangefinder much anyway since I mostly shoot landscapes and nighttime cityscapes.

Yeah it's really cool. The prices are absolutely eye watering though. Truly the Leica of large format.

a red Duff hat like DUFFMAN (oh yeah), a pub mirror sign for Butterbeer, and a Kwik-E-Mart name tag with my shoot name on it

I bought another flashlight. Another sofirn. The gimmick that got me this time? It has a cooling fan on it. I buy so many Sofirn lights that I get e-mails with coupon codes and got it for $45. I have underground utilities and have lost power for longer than 5 minutes once in the almost 12 years I've been in this house. WHY DO I HAVE SO MANY GODDAMN FLASHLIGHTS!?

I bought a cardboard tube and trained some of my bunnies to go inside the tube for a treat. Only bad thing is the huge temptation to roll them when they're in said tube. lol.

I was watching an MRE Steve video and he was raving about the Scho-ka-kola included with it. I like chocolate, coffee, and cola so it seemed right up my alley. I spent way too much to get some but it is pretty damn good. I also melted a couple into my coffee this morning for some extra caffeination. I feel like I could march from Berlin to Warsaw.

The dark chocolate in the red tin is the tits.

As for myself, I ordered up some dried squid. Not the squid snack stuff, but plain old dried squid, which has a slight bitterness and oceanic funk that the more commonly available stuff lacks.
