I just saw a video of the Viking looking mofo MC running around an intergalactic spaceship fighting battle androids with his claymore.

What exactly is the setting for this game? The couple hours of the stream I watched was set in some shithole medieval Witcher esque village.
This is the stuff where I'm not sure if it's from Black Desert Online or not.

Like, I knew there'd be this stuff in the game...but there's like no explanation for it. And I feel like in the 6 or 7 years I followed this game, I only saw this shit in previews within the last year or year and a half.

It just sort of exists and is called "The Abyss" and it's apparently unbalanced or something, but I don't know why that's bad or why the weird digital ghost people care. I assume it's a direct rip off of the sky sections of Tears of the Kingdom cause I've had a few prompts mention I can unlock gates to these places for fast travel, but other than that it's all been medieval setting.

Technically, I think I was able to fuck off and do what I want within 30 minutes of the game. The game really doesn't hold your hand and I was offered up random bounties to go after and oddjobs to do and stuff like that. I just continued doing the tutorial cause I wanted to.

When I personally say I could see this "coming together" in 10 hours, I mean having a vague sense of how everything works. The world and gameplay wise. Not that I need to actually do nothing but tutorials for 10 hours. For the past hour I continued to play I was just doing bandit bounties and such.

Sounds like the game is mostly just an IQ filter, which is great. I like it when a game actively keeps retard from participating.
I want to believe but the excuse plot and bad controls just make the game sound like a big time investment without a real payoff. Doesn't help that a lot of people are playing solely to "own the journos".

Yea man nothing says high IQ like AI generated fetch quests and clearing out copy paste bandit camps for 100 hours.

Assassin's Creed players must be the smartest people on earth.

It's a bummer that this game was not remotely as it was advertised, but I suppose that's typical for games. However, unlike the usual title, I think this game can actually fix a lot of its problems with patches, which would fix the primary complaints. I am mostly mad that these gooks bragged about how well optimized this game was, then they not only include Denuvo to tank performance, but also the game doesn't work on Intel Arc and the developers conveniently neglected to mention that prior to launch. I am also waiting for the inevitable cash grab macrotransactions that Koreans are addicted to.

I am hoping this is one of those titles that becomes incredible after 5 years of DRM removal, patches, and DLC that I can buy in a bundle and have a blast, like Dragon's Dogma 1. For now though, sounds like another no buy from me, which is a big disappointment.

Everyone, stop and pay attention, the resident synthcell weebshit is dropping pearls of wisdom.

I will consneed that I'm not a true gamer, since I'm not willing to gape my mouth and chug whatever dogshit falls from the ass of Korea or Japan.

Honestly, we should recognise your gamer cred and give you an award.
You deserve it, champ!

Crimson Sissies... It's over :lossmanjack:

As in boring you to tears, cringe or both?
From what I have seen the dialogue is just really fucking shallow. There’s no emotion or depth. Just bland

They basically hired a guy to deliver lines like Geralt without realizing why Geralt sounds like how he does

How was it advertised? No really I want to know. From the little snippets I saw myself, I thought it looked like a game with no focus or coherence. It looked like "here's a bunch of fucking whatever and 5000 miles of fucking wherever". Like it doesn't even know what it is, just a vessel for "content".

Some of the main points I heard was that the game was wonderfully optimized for PC, and ran like butter, when in reality it runs like shit and outright doesn't even work on some systems. It also seemed to have overemphasized the story and depth of the game, when it's a case of "wide as an ocean, shallow as a puddle". I also heard the game touted as being complex, but the "complexity" seems to come from bad design more than because it's a well-designed and interconnected world. In short, they overpromised and underdelivered, but what's new there?

Really the only thing that seems to be true so far from what I heard is that it isn't your usual ugly, repulsive fetish garbage like the West churns out, but considering the game apparently takes 100+ hours to beat, we will see if they just load the filth in the latter half of the game like Days Gone or Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 did in order to trick people into buying the game and playing past the refund window.

I think John Crimson Desert might be voiced by AI. I noticed his accent changes pretty drastically depending on the scene.

but the excuse plot
Who cares? Stories in games are like stories in porn, expected but unnecessary.

*Former Synthcell and never weebshit.

Japanese anime and game are generally 5/10 but I'm happy to see that my mere presence makes dumb niggers seethe. Guess that low IQ comment hit a little too close to home, huh?

Yeah with all the shit falling from your mouth I'm not surprised you don't have any room for Korean Riceballs. What are you even talking about? I haven't bought any of the Asian slop that people suck off and if you look at my post history for ten seconds you'll see I spend most of my time in this section of the forum talking about Western games.

Are you dumb? Or really mad at somebody in specific and using me as a proxy? Either way you're an unhinged faggot and should rope.

They also slapped Denuvo on it, I'm sure that doesn't help.

It was advertised by a nasally faggot narrating the trailers with a ultra-cringe inflection with wide panning shots of the landscape meant to make you say "OOOO, AAAAAHH".

I am enjoying the game. I have a monster rig, so I have everything cranked up. Beautiful. The pacing at the beginning of the game certainly did suck, but once chapter 2 begins, you’re afforded the ability to begin really exploring. I am in love with the combat system. I do wish the camera was a bit more precise and had some transparency behind it, but it’s so satisfying. Front-kicking someone 30 yards forward, then running up to slash and launch them into the air, then delivering a brutal RKO for the finish had me grinning from ear to ear.

I don’t give a fuck about the story. Just walking around and doing shit is fun enough for me. Let’s not pretend like Skyrim, Dragon’s Dogma et al were masterpieces either. My chief complaints are the Asian MMO shit UI, and how no one seems to give a fuck that you’re some sort of shape shifting weirdo. Also, having to wear a mask while stealing shit is kind of silly. I get what they are aiming for, but it doesn’t matter since the guard will recognize you either way.

Really digging it. It’s a solid 6.5/7 for me. It’s very, very buggy but nothing game breaking as reached me yet.

Edit: it also runs fairly well on medium-high settings on an MacBook Pro M4 Max, so that’s a nice little surprise.

I saw videos of people cutting trees and mining. I assume it's for equipment upgrades or can you use it for something else? Does the game have worker mini game like BDO? Maybe economy?
It’s for crafting and upgrading equipment but you can also use it for a weapon I.E. cutting a tree to land on enemies or grabbing the ore and throwing it at people.
