Called it.
Reuters reported that Iran only dropped a dozen naval mines in the Hormuz. So this is was a "performative" mining. As for oil the markets, they seem okay. I think they are still predicting a quick end to the war so the price hasn't spiked.
Just FYI to keep it real, Iran has capabilities to lay naval mines remotely. One platform for example is the Fajr-5 MLRS that has naval mining configurations. I'm sure they have more platforms for the same role.

So if you see mine laying ships getting destroying, don't believe it means Iran can't mine the strait anyways.
The USA was dropping naval mines off the sides of tugboats in the 1970's.
You can just stick them on a rail and shove them over the side. You haven't needed a dedicated minelayer since before WW2 when everyone figured out that depth charge rails could be easily adapted for the mining role, and since those were just a couple of pieces of shaped metal on the deck of a ship, well... see above.
You also haven't needed minelaying subs for the same time frame since everyone realized it was just simpler to make smaller and easier to deploy mines that fit inside the standard tubes than make a giant, non-stealthy submarine capable of holding full-sized naval mines.
When Assad fell this was incredibly true. The final moment it was confirmed he fled the country and Damascus fell, you had pro-Assadist on the internet pat themselves on the back claiming "He may have been defeated, but can you name another man who lasted as long as he did during a civil war?" in the most pathetic way of conveying that getting participation trophy owned the West.
At a certain point that's realistically the best you can expect. Mithridates VI spent his final few months of life on the run from Rome before finally getting brutally murdered by Roman assassins after everyone he had ever known told him to fuck off because they wanted no part of Roman vengeance, which is the typical fate of everyone who fucked with Rome at that time, but hey, it took Rome 40 years to finally get around to doing it, so the man deserves props for lasting 39 years longer than everyone else in his position typically would.

Well Iran is but who cares what they think
You know... I'm starting to change my mind about a boots on the ground invasion if they're going to keep mouthing off like this. I really shouldn't because I know deep down it would end up sucking hard, but sadly
izzat isn't as uniquely brown as people think it is, especially when it comes to matters of national pride.
They should allow people to donate to create customized JDAMs... they have to retrofit the bombs with glide wings and sensor packages anyway.
Mine would say "Think fast, chucklenuts!" Don't care that it's a pre-made meme.
Could always do the ancient Greek thing and just put "OW!" on it. Yes, it was just as common for people in ancient times to write shit on the weapons they fired at the enemy as it is now, and Greeks in particular loved carving their version of "OW" into their slingstones. War never changes, after all.

Place your bets lads, will it not ever actually happen, will it be AI, will it be a body double?
Its going to be old footage of Achmed the Dead Terrorist. "Silence! I kill you!"
The White House posted a Wii-themed edit on the war against Iran.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT FUCKING TIMELINE WE ARE IN ANY MORE. THE DIMENSIONAL MERGE IS REAL, WAKE UP, PEOPLE!
PT boat crew's US serviceman's kleptomania had them "borrowing" and installing everything from 20mm and 40mm autocannons, mortars, recoilless rifles, rocket launchers and whatever else they can walked and or cart off with.
Fixed that for you. Never ask a woman her age, a man his salary, or an infantry squad the contents of their transport vehicle. Hell, you even had a bomber crew in WW2 in the Pacific that stripped out a ton of useless deadweight like parts of their structural framing so they had the weight capacity to fit some more guns and the ammo for them.

Edit: I found it:

U.S. Central Command is aware of the loss of a U.S. KC-135 refueling aircraft. The incident occurred in friendly airspace during Operation Epic Fury, and rescue efforts are ongoing. Two aircraft were involved in the incident. One of the aircraft went down in western Iraq, and the second landed safely. This was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire.Read more:

seems like the airplanes kissed.
Mid-air refueling is
dangerous. We lost a B-52 during mid-air refueling in the Mediterranean, the Operation Chrome Dome incident
@Mr. Racewar1488 mentioned. To be more specific on what actually happened, the flying boom went off-course and into its wing, puncturing one of the fuel tanks, and before long the whole damn B-52 went up in flames, and I think only one crewman from it was able to bail out in time.
The most shocking thing about it isn't that there are issues, its that there's so few of them considering the absurd risks involved. Close formation flying is extremely dangerous at the best of times, never mind when you're pumping flammable liquids between the planes involved.
As to why the USA still uses fixed booms... its because they can pump out way more fuel than a hose-and-drogue system, and strategic bombers be thirsty, y'all.
Their military strategy seems to be trying to draw in every country they can conceivably piss off. Truly, they studied the "Art of War" as taught by Wimp Lo.

I was lucky enough to see that movie in theaters. I don't think anyone ever stopped laughing.
The dude is wanted in Europe for crimes against humanity
So are half the dudes from the Bush admin, so as far as I'm concerned that's a mark of pride.
Why are the loudest advocates for white supremacy always the worst examples of the white race?
Screw hands. He needs to post chin, assuming he even has one.
