Couldn't they cruise in the open ocean? Or are you saying they would be easily picked off by the enemy in open ocean?

No. Even if you built one with sufficient seakeeping not to sink in ocean waters, the small size limits the endurance of such a vessel. For longer ranges you need a larger ship so you have enough fuel and food for the crew and other such things.

Although on that note Iran toyed with the idea of using a larger ship like a freighter as a mothership for such boats. They would launch for action and redock for cruising. It’s not the worst idea ever but since Iran could build actual corvettes and frigates they might as well do that instead.

Either someone hasn't poosted or I missed it but I think it is worth sharing.

Heilan Journey a chinese vessel tried to cross the strait but decided against it once she saw Mayuree Naree get blasted, turning the vessel back into the persian gulf.

The answer as to why the USN doesn't have a ton of smaller PT-boat/speedboat style craft is that they're easier to damage or sink than a big Arleigh-Burke. And as we have seen since the end of Persian Gulf War, if a Westoid country doesn't instantly win a war with a flawless victory the narrative is that it lost. The Pentagon doesn't want headlines about American casualties from small patrol boats getting ACKed. It's stupid in a pure military sense, but political considerations have always fucked with pure military considerations. It's worse now than it ever has been though. That's where the West is as a society (that we live in)

Keep in mind it took us 6 weeks to topple saddams gov with a "world coalition" and boots on ground

Maybe, but it only took us 20 years to turn it into the paradise of democracy that we see today!

Netanyahu: "Trump told me tonight that our relationship is a hundred times stronger than any relationship between an American president and an Israeli prime minister."

Trumpenstein is truly our greatest Jewish president.

Trump declares victory on Iran

Late and gay but Trump declared victory over Iran.

lmfao that's just about what I expected. Shit like this is exactly why I thought the Farms would be more reliable than the mainstream media.
If you want more accurate reporting go ahead and go to Lebanon or Iran and post videos and pictures for us. I post news and footage here so people don't have to dig through the mountains of AI slop on X or listen to the legacy media.

I wasn't being sarcastic and was insulting ABC, not you. I appreciate not having to wade through mountains of slop on X or corporate news outlets, actually.

Reports indicate Hezbollah is allegedly encouraging Shia officers within the Lebanese Armed Forces to resist efforts aimed at disarming the group, raising concerns about internal divisions within the military. According to Al-Akhbar, the United States, France, and Saudi Arabia are pressuring Beirut to remove Army Commander Rodolphe Akl over delays in addressing Hezbollah’s weapons, though the Lebanese president is said to be resisting the move.️ Sources cited by Frontline Report claim tensions are increasing as Hezbollah-linked officers warn that any direct action against the group could fracture the army, while anti-Hezbollah factions argue that failing to confront the issue could further destabilize Lebanon’s political and security landscape. Lebanon Civil War 2 incoming?

you guys wonder if the QTE has expired to take over Cuba cause we got hardstuck on the iran mission for like 10 frames to long?

We can take care of Cuba literally the day before Trump leaves office if we want. They're a failed state with no power, resource management, or functional government. The longer we delay with them, the easier they'll be to conquer.

The WW2 ones just weren't set up for it. They were basically 80 foot speed boats with a couple of machineguns and torpedo launchers bolted on.
PT boat crew's kleptomania had them "borrowing" and installing everything from 20mm and 40mm autocannons, mortars, recoilless rifles, rocket launchers and whatever else they can walked and or cart off with.
