This doesn't sound like the 'famous Iranian hospitality to me', more like "Trust me bro we're being real nice right now -- no we're not running out of munitions and using this as a cope, no, totally not. We're being good people here! We don't WANT to bomb you; we still can, we totally can! See? We just hit the UAE with a drone again! Just trust us and leave us alone, we're still a threat k thnx". It's pure cope, but I can't wait to hear the third-worldist in a discord server I occupied (guy that left America for Canada, hates Israel, hates America, will back any country that fights America) thinks of this. Nothing good, for sure.
Bold words from a president that still doesn't have control over his military.

I read it more as a way to justify future attacks. Saying they won't attack unless attacks originate from the country doesn't change much for the Gulf states. Attacks are going to originate from their countries because of the US presence, and so they will be attacked. Basically: kick the US out (not going to happen) or we attack.

I can see it either way because this new guy might have realized bombing all of their neighbors is retarded and now that he has control over the drones and missiles he told the grunts to stop pissing off everyone arround them by being a headless chicken, and I can see them being low on ability to deliver their weapons stockpile to targets.
He's not the new guy. He's been President since 2024.

Awesome

Keep us out of this one, we just want you to stop worshipping trees, fucking your sisters and recognize the one God.
Come again? What religion worships trees?
Other than those weirdos whose greatest prophet took orders from a burning bush.
they are larping as independent states (not pro russian just hate artificial small nations in general, looking at you Kuwait and Taiwan)
Taiwan has a similar population to Australia, and roughly the same land per person of England.
Ukraine's cost probably double that (they have a habit of lying about the cost for their proposal
That makes no sense, wouldn't they get more gibs if they overestimated the cost per unit.
The CCP is apparently freaked out because they installed the same system across their entire country so it’s highly likely that Mossad and the CIA hacked them as well and tracked every party member’s location. If so, then if they invade Taiwan, the US could effortlessly kill the entire CCP leadership, especially since China’s “anti-stealth” air defense is useless.
I'd hate to be one of Xi's body doubles if war breaks out.
Similar enough to be tagged, but too disposable to make it to a bunker.

"Ok sure Iran hasn't it any US warships with drones or missiles but Iran is still superpowered and just waiting for the US to be in position before it builds the cauldron. The US armed forces clearly have no counter for drones as we've seen over the past week as Iran is pounded constantly without mercy from the sky with their leaders being killed and their ability to enforce their will on their people being eliminated."
Cope harder.
You are having a retard fight with a strawman. Iran does not need to target US warships with their drones, just civilian shipping. Seriously, your points are usually better thought out than this.

He's not the new guy. He's been President since 2024.
Correct. The elected president hasn't been touched.
The US has not targeted any Iranian elected leaders, only the unelected (and in US parlance, illegitimate and thus not protected) Theocracy and their military arm.

Israel bomnbed the Iranian parliament but it was not in session.

I'd hate to be one of Xi's body doubles if war breaks out.
Xi has a billion body doubles. No one can tell chinks apart.

Alleged photo showing the AN/TPY-2 radar of a THAAD anti-ballistic missile (ABM) system destroyed by Iran at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
I'm 99% confidant this image is real. You can see the impact site was on the top and likely the rear end with the drone taking out a big bite out of the top with the blown out panels and radar cover yeeted across the desert. The rear end likely more damaged, but we can't see it from this perspective.

What were looking at is the 'front' of a semi trailer connector. The details in the photo are too accurate for AI to make. Theres two small bumps on the hitch and a label which are in the right spot on varying models. Here you can also see the radar seam cover which has been blown off.

Rear perspective. You can see the rear wheels from this perspective which have been detached from the damaged unit. Note the tarp underneath the unit too. The damaged unit is leaning since the rear trailer wheel end and jacks have been destroyed.

Ive highlighted the radar here from satellite images, note the distinctive hitch that sticks out. You can see the pattern of blackened water runoff here, also theres water still leaking from the radar in the main damaged photo on the ground.

Oil experts don't seem too concerned that price hikes will be a long-term thing

The cope from these experts is always "oh the war won't take long" or "oh the Strait will only be closed for a short time" because they cannot imagine a nation would let it happen.

I can't find the poost but @Mr. Racewar1488 mentions that things will be back to normal in a month and I will have to disagree, IMO the minimum would probably be around 2-3 months just to bring back confidence but for things to return the same way I can't say when as it could take years. The only reason why I think so is because of the production of crude oil, many are already reaching storage capacity and are planning to pause production and you can't just flip a switch just to restart it and if the damage from Iran is severe enough it could take years.

Now more on Iran news I found footage of Sri Lanka rescuing the torpedoed Iranian sailors.

I hope it comes to pass that the global economy does a flip. The times in my life when I've made the biggest gains are when everyone else is freaking out about magic numbers.

On today’s episode of the China Show, the hosts mentioned that Iran had bought Chinese surveillance equipment and installed it everywhere to police “morality” (e.g. track non-hijab-wearing women). These are the “traffic” cameras that Israel’s Unit 8200 hacked to track the Ayatollah and IRGC members for the past several years.
I wonder if the CIA and Mossad found and started using the same backdoors the Chinese installed so MSS could spy on everyone who was dumb enough to buy a Chinese camera.
Israel was big mad when they found out Chink cars can transmit location and camera data back to China. IIRC they banned the importation of all Chinese cars and forbade anyone in the defense department from using them because of obvious security concerns.

That's the question the outcome of this war hinges on. If the Trump administration is correct and Iran has lost its ability to close the Strait, then America has already won and all that remains are mopping up operations. But if the Iranians have maintained the ability to threaten shipping the war will drag on.

How likely is either scenario? Well, the US empire has a lot more firepower and the far more powerful military. Iran on the other hand has the advantage of geography. Drone technology also reshuffles the deck of military might. Both sides in the Ukraine war use FPV drones with enough range to cross the Strait of Hormuz. A couple of those can seriously damage a freight ship. The Iranians don't even need to deploy Shaheds. Infantrymen could do it, in theory. If Iran does not fold soon the USA will have gotten itself into another forever war.

We have to wait and see how the next couple of weeks go.
