With Sam Hyde being the tard-guard for the previous season it's going to take one Freddy to retardedly fight back the crew under the influence like he nearly did many times. This is going to be fun!
they're gonna need some muscle to tardwrangle if shit gets out of hand.

Sam in many ways did hold the show back through his retarded roid-rage antics, the best parts of the show were always the autistic and retarded freaks they got interacting with each other, something that's hard to get elsewhere these days. If I wanted to watch Sam Hyde be based and punch things there are hours upon hours of videos and streams I could watch. Whenever he'd show up they'd all just shut down until he left and not much interesting would happen. There are like ten challenges at most that were ever actually funny, most of it sucked. Also resulted in way too much nu-MDE fan/Fuentes brownoid audience capture where nothing funny was allowed to happen and anytime anyone did anything 'degenerate' they needed to be epically owned.
That said this is still a terrible sign for the future. As much as Jet is actually responsible for the product, Sam was the brand and without him they're not going to make nearly as much money. They'd send him out for an hour every day to farm TTS messages to make some extra cash and they're not going to be able to do that anymore. Whenever he was on stream was always the highest viewership period of the day, and there would be a steep drop off after he left. Combine that with all of the Nepstein stuff and the decline in quality of the production in Season 4 even before the legal issues, and it's not looking good. The magic's gone.

Ben and Jet are both validation seeking faggots that can't operate unless the fish worship them which is why their bits and challenges have always been gay. Sam doesn't care which is why he can go into the house and make the fish drink gallons of milk and then exercise until they throw up or tie them all together in a snake and make them crawl around the house. These challenges actually put the fish into panic mode and are the main reason the show is interesting and different from anything else. Ben and Jet simply cannot do it. Sam's sheer size also allows him to torture the fish without any fear of physical danger which Ben and Jet do not have. Think of how many times you could tell by Sam's face that he was completely ready for things to go crazy with Jimmy or Alex B. Because he was there they were able to push those fish to the almost breaking point and create kino, but now it's just gonna be larping as superheroes or whatever. Maybe Frank will come in and take the reins or Sam for a day or two but the majority of the season is gonna be a snoozefest production dick sucking competition.

Probably some decline, but they'll likely still have a host show up and do some challenge in a structured more planned out event that you know is gonna happen during that time period. So I think a lot of the audience is still gonna show up for that. As fishes many times when the energy was low people were just waiting around for the daily content to happen to them, rather than try to make it happen themselves.

Yeah, but the parts where they tried to be a serious game show were always the worst most boring ones. If they're trying to go further in that direction they're retarded. Daily challenges produce precisely the problem you're describing where the rest of the day, they're just waiting around for the content to happen to them. They sort of had the right idea with the Stox, encouraging constant action and drama to effectively steal the audience's favor from other people, but they're probably not bringing that back since a lot of whales got upset they got rugpulled.

the sam hyde show is based
I was promised Art Bell/George Noory comfy late-night discussions to vibe and work/contemplate to. So far I've got about 1.5 episodes I'd consider anywhere close to that. I feel completely baited by what was promised and what we actually have. I get the same feeling listening to it that I get when I see my parents watching the news on TV

I for one can do without the constant working out in front of the camera, the bodily fluid challenges, and the weird degrading women fetish stuff that always seems to happen whenever Sam is around. You can tell that with him there's some actual spite and malice with what he's doing and it ruins the vibe. I remember him talking about the show to Legion of Skanks and he said something like "its awesome, you can fuck with people and they can't do anything back to you" and personally I think that's a pretty shitty attitude to have because ultimately I just want to see awkward spergs interact and get trolled a bit, not sit around and watch Sam Hyde act out his sadist fantasies.

Thinking of my favorite fishtank moments, Sam had seemingly nothing to do with any of them. Fatty's workout camp, Jon and the bible, Jimmy and the mallet, the Tayleigh truthnuke, Burt being a schizo, Simbal spartan kicking Frank. The only one I can think of is in season 4 when he told Freddy that he'd give him money to throw Aryeh out the door.

I looked at xitter and reddit to do a temperature check on FT audience reacting to the news about Sam not hosting S5. the reactions are mixed.

It's definitely an exciting time to be a Fishtank fans. Changes have been made and we are going to see if they can stick the landing or not. We'll see if this is their redemption or their downfall, I just hope S5 is not DOA

Assuming they're not gaslighting the audience with a "Sam Hyde isn't Jason Goldstriker" joke I'll float the idea that they're going to have Alex B as the host. He's been hinting for months that he's going to be part of some upcoming official fishtank thing which obviously Alex B isn't the most trustworthy person but during Thankful Tank with Dumbgay he was apparently showing everyone the email Jet/Ben sent him about not collaborating or even being on stream with Jon or Burt. This could possibly make sense given that they've sent a cease and desist to Jon and Burt was threatening to sue so legally they wouldn't want the host to be collaborating with them.

Alex B definitely has the "energy" to host a show but I'm not sure if he'd be able to focus enough to be good at it. He would also religiously listen to Jet and Ben which I'm sure they want and he's basically more of a character by just being himself than Jason Goldstriker is.

There's no way in hell they get him to do anything, in any official capacity. He's too retarded.

If the stuff about Sam not being the host for season 5 isn't le epic Jet troll, yeah it's fucked. Simply put: you cannot have Fishtank without Sam Hyde in a leading role. So many times throughout the series things fell apart and Sam was the person to save the day not Jet, or Ben or the other production members it was Sam. Sam is the glue that holds Fishtank together not just the guy with the money funding it. When Jet fucks things up badly Sam comes and unfucks it. When the show gets super boring and is dead air Sam figures out what to do. I don't think there is a person on earth who can match his ability to keep a 24/7 show entertaining like that.

Can you imagine season 1 without Jason Goldstriker? No cabinets punched out, no Simmons kickoff in Chinese, no chasing Jon to get Letty's passport back in the garage, no door kicked in during the finale. It would simply not be season 1 without him. It ceases to be Fishtank all together doesn't it?

also, it's enjoying watching alex be humbled due to his hubris. Granting him any sort of title plays into his delusions of grandeur from being a trust fund baby. If alex comes back to the show, he needs to face the torture he escaped from quitting on s3

It is going to be really interesting to see if Jet can swim on his own.

Personally I hope they do away with a singular host and instead have a revolving doors of comedians, it would make tuning-in each evening a surprise; Tai, stien, sam, letty, frank, nick, charles, david lucas etc. Also it would be funny if they forced the cast to pretend each comedian is the same goldstriker.

If the show is to have longevity and range it will have to have different seasoning each season. Although people may love Goldstriker he has his downsides also.
A lot of blame for fuckups was directed towards Sam Hyde from what I can remember because he would roid rage. Yes it was generally funny but its the same thing as Burt or Frank Hassle.
Those people/personalities are great but having them on every fucking season does become really boring.

sam at the start of famous house talking to burt about the jews was very funny.
you dont need sam all the time but without him you miss out on stuff like that.

also isnt it alex schultz that does tv show host bits for them? he could be funny

lol at Jet and Ben complaining about the lack of female applicants. I FUCKING WONDER WHY THAT IS
To be fair they've always had a problem getting women for the show even before the Nepstein drama, partly because the fanbase is more male than female (queer vibes) and partly because, according to Sam, it's harder to get girls to commit to 6 weeks on a show with the short notice the wiggers typically give contestants.

I told you all. He looked MISERABLE during s4 and said Fishtank was a financial disaster and money sink. He ain't interested.
The fact Fishtank Co. has shilled as much as they've had with the prices they've set and still can't figure out how to profit by the fourth season shows how retarded they are.

Sam contributed to both the highest highs of Fishtank, and the lowest lows.
Anyone who says the show will be 100% better off is wrong, but I think someone like Jan could create peaks of about 90% of Sam's capacity while never bottoming out like Sam, leading to Fishtank actually becoming a consistent product for the first time ever.

Don't fucking fumble this Neptroon. And for God's sake, don't try to host this shit yourself.
