With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

While the length of the show is a problem when it comes to getting contestants, the bigger issue imo is that Fishtank has been more hostile to women than men. Look at the shit they went through on the first 2 seasons. Constant hostility be it through TTS, or having bathroom cams, or getting their hair fucked up, and all that without even getting into what Frank does.

This issue with getting female contestants is entirely their own fault and through the recent auditions we have seen that not one normal-ish girl has auditioned from what they've shown so far. They've gotten either fat women or crazy women that are embalming their cats.

All the best moment came from the cast being fucking retarded.

Losing Sam is a huge hit, but if they get a host that's actually interested in the show and the contestants it will only be an improvement.
 
these streams are very clearly both a fundraising round with zero liability or accountability to the "investors" (oops! ran outta money buying houses we can't use anymore!) and a way for jet to clown the faggots that actually want to be on fishtank.
he already said he's tossing like 99% of these applications.

i actually do think this bodes well for the show, especially with sam not being as involved anymore. i'm reminded of johnny knoxville saying that jackass 2 and 3 got cucked because they were in this odd spot where they didn't have enough money to justify stunts/bits that required actual investment, but everyone recognized him as the jackass guy and he'd get kicked out of any establishment they tried to fuck with.

i think jet's in a similar position with fishtank, where sam's famous enough that everyone who's been online in the last year would instantly know him and peg him as some kind of righty political guy and any normies would just bow out as soon as they figured out he was involved, and his fame also draws a bunch of heat from redditor faggots with political agendas instead of the average callers streaming attracts.

hoping for a cast that's mostly non-fans with some turbo-raped autismos mixed-in in light of these streams the general vibe behind them.

The thing that Sam understood well was that there was a need for a bit of normalcy and downtime for the the fish to reset. What Sam didn't understand is that none of that should be happening while he's on the show. The day should be gearing up towards Goldstriker's appearance, not falling flat because of it, as it so often did.

Assuming that things haven't fallen through with Corey Feldman, he will be the host. I know every time there's a new season since BG, there's always clamour for more Xavier, but it completely misses the point of what makes the Xavier character so great - he is always best used sparingly for maximum impact, otherwise the bit will become stale very quickly. I also don't see him coming up with a new character specifically for a season, especially given his reluctance to show his face in Fishtank shows so far.

Corey for me works well, given that his brain is as fried as, if not more fried than the contestants, which might make for some funny viewing. It may take him a little bit of time to settle into the role and understand what the show is about, though.

Not happening. That would be a huge mistake on Neps’ part. As someone here already said, Sam was part of both the highest highs and the lowest lows, which means he is 100% essential to the success of the show. His appearance is bound to be one of the show’s climaxes, for sure.

This change of host might be fun to stir things up, but I have no idea who the right person would be to fill those shoes.

Which is why I think it's possible for s5 to be decent. If Sam could be who he was during famous house, well then that would be ideal for me at least. I just don't think he has it anymore.

hindsight is 20/20, so it's clear he was trying to get motion on his podcast while s4 was live and was genuinely checked out.

Sam and Freddy interactions were good. Each season Sam has had to tard wrangle the most physical sperg and all of those moments are great. Jon, Jimmy, Alex B, and Freddy all respond best to being physically put in their place.
