He also unironically sees nothing wrong with Phil's begging because he believes that's just normal streamer behavior. Shared belief even outside this subforum btw, that's what happens when the only other streamer they are exposed to is Ethan "CAN WE HIT IT?!?!" Ralph and various other flavors of e-beggars.

He will preface it all by saying that he doesn’t know much about it, but will spend at least 30 minutes talking about it, saying what he would do, how Venezuela is a bunch of morahns, etc.

The funny thing is he’s half right. Except if Phil wasn’t an idiot who takes the lazy way out of everything and has never evolved or grown up past being a teenage edgelord, he could have been bigger.

Never forget that he had a channel with 3-5M views a month at one point (and peaking closer to 8M views), back when that was impressive. To go from that to barely 10% of that is pathetic. Even worse when you’ve been making consistent videos that whole time. And the absolute worst part… never evolving or doing anything different. Still just gameplay or yapping about nothing.

i don't watch many streamers but the ones i do have never talked about money or "goals" or "support"
 
Some bad news for Phil. Asmongold has released an episode of his gaming podcast, without DSP.

All Phil had to do with his viewer base from the early 2010s was do what Machinima suggested. Evolve his content from only doing his shit gameplay. If Phil was among the first to do slop commentary like Asmongold or Charlie or Muta, he very well could be a multi-millionaire like them. But, Phil always catches onto trends way too late.

Is the game reviewer scene dented enough to the point he COULD have succeeded with KOGaming had he made more effort to disassociate it with the DSP brand even if the reviews were ass? Remember who modern gayming panders to.

Phil’s narc tendencies strike again. He didn’t want to fall on his gouty face by failing, so he needed someone to model off of in order to have a fighting chance. By doing so, he misses each opportunity given to him. That’s why he takes forever to finish games he’s unsure of, as well as finally playing said games. He can’t stand being seen as incompetent or ridiculed, despite being the first out of the gate.

I don’t think Phil has the facilities to succeed this way. The only thing Phil CAN do is be early at something. He is incapable of being GOOD. Being early won’t hold an audience for long.

If Phil actually did reviews, maybe? Probably not because his gaming views have always sucked because he obviously doesn't care about most games. KOGaming quickly ended up being lazily slapped together clips of old content with his lame radio voice commentary.

I guess it was about the only enjoyable game I remember him playing last year, for the reason of him loathing it and getting legit excited when he rarely won a game, apologies, maybe 2026 will have his house flood for entertainment.

He also didn't like that we, as a sub-board, don't (didn't?) integrate with the wider site, so he cleared most of the active users and made a condition to get unbanned you had to email him something funny that wasn't featured, I sent EOR getting punched in Portugal, and Josh accepted it even though it was featured. This subforum generally avoids tagging Josh because of uncertainty about he feels about us at any moment.

Back when Asmongold was only doing WoW content, he would have goals like "wendys with my dad" and get $100+, but that was a long time ago.

Its only been 2 days into 2026 and we've gotten some good rants already, the weird gay rant the other day when someone asked him to show his gains and Dave freaked out calling him gay is probably going to be one of my favorite rants this year.
 
The only games dsp enjoyed to some extent are the yakuza but now i dont think he would go through it with low donos .

I'm similarly on the periphery of the vortex, the community is welcome to string me up in response.

Off-site shenanigans may have been a part of this. I recall that we had a couple of DSP forum mods that got ejected during the last flare-up from Dear Leader, maybe some kind of gay 'cord shit using the Farms for recruitment or tolerating things Dear Leader did not like.

I think actual seething hatred of Phil is part of the reason for hostility toward this subforum. I can understand that, it seems at odds with what I think is a "point and laugh" culture of the board overall. He's a scummy piece of shit, but he's about as retarded as the people he's scamming and arguably beneath contempt - obviously that's no excuse for his behavior, but getting MATI at Phil isn't minimally tolerated the same way it is in the case of say, zoosadists, as the moral outrage doesn't justify the lack of funny.
