The screeching about the "List" that doesn't exist isn't targeted at the GOP but at the old guard of the democrats. The left wing of the democrats (AOC and other communist) suspect, and are likely correct, that the documents contain a lot of old guard democrats names, which would enable them to usurp power in the DNC and take over control, imagining that they are going to inherit the donors and financial backers to redirect cash flow to themselves and replace the one they lost with the dismantling of USAID and other "programs". They couldn't be more wrong, and if releasing the documents wouldn't also remove the black mail leverage the Trump GOP has over the old guard of GOP and democrats I would probably support their efforts. But as it stands I don't - those documents are the holy grail of Black Mail and ensure down the road the GOP winning the 2028 general elections and likely lead to a further internal cannibalizing of the democrats destroying the party and making the Libertarians the contestant for the GOP in 2032, with them inheriting the donors and financiers of the democrats today.
