I can't believe it was actually easier for Trump to broker a ceasefire (a tenuous one, but still) between Israel and Hamas than it is between Ukraine and Russia.
Both Zelensky and Putin are embarrassing. Fucking small-dick energy from both these clowns.

Putin is unrealistic and Z is retarded. For all of Putins fantasy, theres not going to be a reunification, at least not an amicable one with Russia and Ukraine.
They've been going at it for almost 4 years and territory gains have occurred at a snails pace. Hitler had conquered most of Europe by the time.

Z is a dumbass thinking that you can just end a conflict without any concessions or territory given when dealing an enemy like Putin. Stop the conflict, stop sending white people to their deaths, rebuild, let people come back, and we can revisit combat 5-10 years down the road if both sides are still up to it.

Ironically Putin continuing the conflict is just scaring Europe into buying a ton of weapons that are superior to Russias offensive capabilities.

Can you imagine if that was our illegal immigration policy even for just a decade? We catch you and you can't produce a green card and we just shoot you on the spot.
I mean I understand it's not practical, but it would be pretty funny.
That wouldn't really change anything. A large reason there are so many illegals from Central and South America is because their governments and economies are wackadoo unstable. The governments love illegal immigration. Look at it this way. If you're on an island and its run by a psychopathic idiot but there's an easy to reach island nearby that isn't a chaotic hellscape what are you gonna do? Are you gonna risk overthrowing the corrupt government and risk getting sent to niggerhell prison or are you just gonna sneak onto the good island? Now cut off all escape routes, eventually the government are gonna get lynched if shit doesn't change.

That's another thing: even with advanced stages of cancer, your odds of survival with chemo aren't always zero. It can put cancer into remission.
I mean I'm with you and everything but that's the exception to the rule. Again if people want to gamble for an extension of their life that has maybe a 5% success rate, I'm all for it. You heard him, his dad's never been the same.
I'm just saying there are a lot of people who if they got the proper education of the statistics and the percentages and the side effects and the likelihood of the cancer returning anyway, they wouldn't risk it.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is there is a 100% chance that you'll have a good 6 months to do the things you have to do and put your affairs in order. I can't be alone in thinking that the 6-month option sounds better.

I swear to Christ folks should be required to take some sort of "How to adult" class before they get a diploma in high school. How to balance a checkbook, how to do your taxes, how to change a flat, how to fix a leaky sink, a constant running toilet, how to make sausage gravy and biscuits, and how to sew up a hole in a pair of pants or a shirt. Wouldn't take more than a semester, and would help so much. maybe even offer a follow up how to grow some veggies, or how eat a balanced diet.
I see this sentiment a lot and don't disagree with it, but a lot has changed in the world where these kind of classes would need to be heavily updated. Outside of basic home repair, most of the stuff mentioned isn't really used today. For example, no one uses checkbooks anymore except old people, banking apps do all the work for you. Taxes are easy because you can just go online and have something like Turbo Tax do all the hard work for you. Most schools do still teach how to budget, the problem is that the kids need to actually care to follow it in the first place. In my experience, a lot of people can make a budget fine, but they won't follow it long term. Part of the problem is living in a society where we all have access to fast and cheap goods, not to mention the influencers and advertising that make people spend money on worthless stuff they don't need. Lots of people need to be taught restraint and how to avoid being influenced by FOMO.

Sewing is another skill that sounds good on paper but is basically becoming pointless unless it's a for hobby. I know how to sew because I think it's fun, but tbh not even I mend most of my own clothes, because these days the way clothes are manufactured makes it to where if your clothes fall apart, sewing won't really "fix" it. If your shirt or pants have a hole in it, then chances are the entire thing is already fucked anyway because the qaulity of clothes these days are dogshit. It only makes sense to advocate sewing if you manage to buy clothes that have high quality fabrics. Most young people aren't doing this, it's simply cheaper to buy a low quality shirt and replace it every few months than it is to spend more and buy a higher quality one that will last forever and can be mended with basic sewing.

I think another issue with these classes is that they won't do any good if the kids have no desire to use skills they've been taught. There's plenty of free videos online that show how to cook. There's never been an easier time in history to learn how to cook something quick and easily. Cooking is also a very trendy topic. Yet a lot of people still don't want to cook. It might be cheaper and healthier to cook at home, but it also takes longer and requires cleaning up afterwards, where as DoorDash and eating out require no skills and you just throw away the garbage once you're done with it.

I could go on, but basically, I think the bigger issue is that people these days place a higher value on things being cheap, easy, and fast over everything else, and that's not something a high school class is going to fix.

It reminds me of that point in a RTS where one side is really dug the fuck in but your factories and barracks are running at full speed. It's a immovable object meeting an unstoppable force.

An interesting point/cope re: Mamdani- ultimately Cuomo is still a Democrat, and if it were between him and Mamdani, it would basically be like California where you get your pick of Democrat and Democrat. As such, it is to a degree ridiculous to ask the only Republican in the running to stand aside to allow the Democrats to resolve their own civil war.

If the moderate Dems are cleared out, and every single Dem is forced to own that Democrat = Mamdani, then there may be a road out of the mess, however narrow it is.

That being said, Silwa was the wrong Republican candidate IMO, and the demographic outlook is pessimistic (the browns want socialism). Likewise, is it worth placing your primary metropole in the hands of the enemy, or allow a shitlib flood to escape the city and infect other states (look at Katrina, blacks, and Texas)?

If Cuomo splits enough of the democrat ticket, Sliwa might just squeak by. The type of liberal that still lives in NYC at this point is more concerned about having the right politics than the balance of their check book. If they flee, they'll flee to some other northeastern shithole or some place on the west coast. As red states get more conservative, they get less and less appealing to colonize for shitlib parasites. Takes more time, more money.

My money is on either a Cuomo or Sliwa win. Mamdani wants to much to fast.

Z is a dumbass thinking that you can just end a conflict without any concessions or territory given when dealing an enemy like Putin.

Z is an entitled little bitch who keeps demanding gibs (including "assurances") from Trump. He expects Trump to win his war for him, not to make peace.

I think the bigger issue is that people these days place a higher value on things being cheap, easy, and fast over everything else, and that's not something a high school class is going to fix.
To be honest I think this obsession with things being as convenient as humanly possible over just about everything else is at the core of what's plaguing western civilization both economically and socially. It's kind of like this race to the bottom of the barrel over who can undercut everyone else first by making things cheaper and easier.

Some more advice on the cooking front. YouTube is your friend. There are infinite videos out there showing you how to cook just about anything. A favorite channel of mine is Food Wishes with Chef John. (Some other nice ones are The Mediterranean Dish and Sip and Feast if you like Mediterranean food.) If you're looking for budget friendly cooking recipes, Spend with Pennies has a website and a YouTube channel, and there's a website called BudgetBytes. But there are infinite other channels out there with other cooking videos you can search for.

YouTube can teach you just about anything when it comes to repair, cleaning, yard work or anything around the house. I don't know anything about repair, but I was able to repair a dryer by consulting YouTube and watching a repair video by a repair tech. This is the golden age of DIY instruction.
I hard second this, about the only practical use out of Youtube at this point is shit like this. People who know how to DIY just sharing the knowledge for free on the internet, it's an extremely good resource to learn shit without having to go to a trade school or pay your way into an apprenticeship.

I thought they retconned that purgatory no longer exists
also fuck year Cap'n Nun, the saltiest sister of the seven seas YARRRRRR

Nah, I had the same mistaken belief before looking into it. Purgatory is still canon, what they retconned was the concept of Limbo - babies who die unbaptized are still tainted with original sin, but have committed no ACTUAL sin, so the concept of Limbo was the gap filler there. Nobody wanted to think God would send unbaptized babies directly to hell when they had no chance or choice NOT to go to hell. It wasn't heaven, but it wasn't hell. Purgatory is for people who are heaven-bound, like being lowered feet first into boiling water. Some people are ready for the boiling water based on their earthly journey, others need to enter much more slowly.

We used to do that, it was called Home Economics. It used up valuable "Why Whites are the Monsters of History: Why the Holocaust was the only important historical event in every culture everywhere and how you can never do enough to make up for it." time, so it had to go.
It was also called sexist by feminists which is a another reason it was done away with even though boys took it too.

Some dem senator got caughtt with a SS Totekomph tat, going over like a lead ballon

Senators name is Graham Planter
Rare BASED democrat.
Z is an entitled little bitch who keeps demanding gibs (including "assurances") from Trump. He expects Trump to win his war for him, not to make peace.
I think one of the things holding up this war is that he knows for a fact once Russia and Ukraine make peace, he is fucking DEAD. Putin will have him whacked almost immediately after the ceasefire.
Not to mention the fact that they haven't had an election since the war started.
He knows she'll be the permanent president so long as the war is going on. This is all pros and no cons for him.

Putin is 73, he isn't much younger than Trump, I believe he's doing all this all for legacy and to be remembered after he's gone. At this point it might be a waiting game until Putin is dead unless Europe decides it wants to go all-in on Ukraine.
