So when he says "fascist", does he mean he would try to disrupt KKK meetings, expose corrupt politicians/billionaires, and stop patriotism from turning into full-blown white supremacy... or does he think beating up people wearing Trump hats counts as fighting fascism?
"Fascist Derangement Syndrome." :story:
Is there a thread for this? If not, there really should be one.
Exhibit A on why you don't give deranged people like Hollyweirdos a super power in the first place.
They say they'll be like Superman if they had powers, but they'd be more like Homelander the second anyone talks back to them.
"BUT WHY AREN'T YOU BRINGING ALL FOUR MEMBERS OF THE FANTASTIC FOUR INTO DOOMSDAY?!"

A father not hellbent on getting his child back? What did Marvel mean by this? 🤨
Best part is that this is the first incarnation to not be a white guy, and he's going to be sidelined in favor of a white woman.

Hmm.....has Psylocke showed up yet in the current Ultimate verse? I remember her original form was an agent who got possessed and Colossus dropped a car on her....which led to her being in the body of a Japanese girl who later joined the team but her fate is unknown. She showed up again but was revealed to be an imposter or something. She can't catch a break.....

Harris or Khan? Because I could honestly believe either at this point.
Yes.

Psylocke or Kwannon is in the Ultimate X-men weird books and is a japanese high school girl into kendo.

People were predicting Ultimate Scarlett to be Betsy though. Since its revealed much earlier that the Maker offed Magneto.

Im surprised they still went with the Maximoff twins over the Braddock twins as Scarlett and Quicksilver for this universe.

Didn't Marvel kill the Ultimate Universe brutally?
I mean, it did have Ultimatum, but OG Ultimate Marvel being taken behind the woodshed wouldn't happen until the Incursions.

The time in between did show the Actual Death of Spider Man - the got a LOT of mileage out of faking that one - and his funeral is admittedly well handled, especially with how much of Ultimate was "what if everyone was an asshole?" Would recommend tracking that down if nothing else.

Like Leaf said, the OG Ultimate (1610) had Ultimatum, where all the bad things happened and tons of character died, then it kept going for a time until Secret War, where it crashed into the OG 616 universe and everyone died.
Then 616 got remade, with some elements of Ultimate thrown in (mainly Miles and his family).
Over the years there have been hints of 1610 still being out there in some form, but Maker (evil Reed from 1610) took a universe (6160) similar but not identical to 616, and shaped it to his liking. That's the current Ultimate universe.
The story is, Maker prevented a bunch of heroes from emerging, and gave power and influence to certain villains/turned other people into villains, further altering the world, then sealed himself off into his big machine city with a countdown to his return. This universe's Reed (who Maker tortured and turned him into Doom) and a young Tony start recovering the heroes they can (like Cap or Thor) and giving people who would have been heroes kits to replicate their powers (like Spidey), in hopes to build a revolution before Maker returns.

I can't say much more about the rest of the books, but Spidey's is really good, with Spidey already married with MJ and having 2 kids by the time he gets the power kit, Uncle Ben and Jonah working together to launch their own newspaper, and a bunch of other characters with twists to their normal roles.

The X-Men book is all about mutant lolis in Japan dealing with a yokai-like mutant, at least as far as I read.
The rest, I don't know.

The original was killed in Secret Wars.

Only Miles and The Maker survived.

Then it was rebooted again into a much difference universe as the Maker is used as a tool to create another universe which does have good doompilling vibes to it.

Since the Maker decides to destroy every superhero team possible until his own creation, Doom, fucks up his plans.

Ultimate Wolverine is about mutants being deported to Russia in a nutshell, being run by batshit insane Magik and Colossus. And they get treated probably much worse than Trask and the Sentinels ever did to the muties.

Being turned into cyborg freakshows or in the case of Xavier, just a brain.

Literally just a brain controlling Jean Grey who suffers from muscle atrophy as she is drugged into hanging from a platform inside a giant ball.

Ultimate Black Panther is the most boring shit even though they introduce that universe's sorcerer supreme as a bad ass baddie bitch since Strange is revealed dead.

The guy running SHIELD is a cyborg clone of Nick Fury, who committed genocide against the Inhumans and murdered children.

The only character better off in 6160 compared to 616 is Spiderman only. And Spiderman was the first victim of the Maker as well by stopping the spider bite.

Marvel at this point is just throwing anything and wait to see what sticks.

I can see why they're sending these alt universe stories when the main x-men line has the mutants eating and watching movies.

I swear 2025 has been the year of the Invisible Woman as far as Marvel goes.

Thank you Chairmen Chang.

Maybe it coincides with Sydney Sweeney being the hottest well known woman in America right now, compared to the shitty slutty Kardashians in the Obammy era.

*Raises hand*
Isn't Dooms entire Motivation to prove he is better than that "PATHETIC WORM RICHARDS?"
Well that would mean actually developing a pair of characters to be mortal enemies instead of killing almost every well-known villain they fight like Iron Monger, Whiplash, Red Skull, Arnim Zola, Ronan the Accuser, Ultron, Yellowjacket, Ego the Living Planet, Hela, Killmonger, Mysterio, Scarlet Witch, Gorr the God Butcher, Kang the Conqueror, and Cassandra Nova.
