We have had temporary worker visas for a very long time and it worked well, especially for seasonal work. All of our problems began when corporations and politicians decided Americans were a pain in the ass because they have basic rights and need to be paid at least minimum wage. People on Medicaid never even see a bill. Medicaid recipients and rich people don’t go bankrupt from medical bills. It’s everyone else who is. There absolutely needs to be reforms to Medicaid.
You are 100% wrong and see above. Illegals receive healthcare they need at hospitals and Medicaid is billed - and pays - for it. There are financial counselors at every major hospital whose entire job is working with “undocumented” patients and families to get them appointments and get their care covered by American taxpayers. The entire system has been incentivized to provide healthcare to these people because Medicaid will pay, unlike the rest of us who have to pay and fight with private health insurance.
