How many decades has it been since Nixon announced the war on cancer? How many billions of dollars spent?

And just like with “We gots to teach inner city keedz to read and eliminate test gaps! Pls. Gib billions!” Nothing really happens, since the NIH is just a giant science slush fund anyways. The really effective cancer treatments are developed by industry anyways. Usually WITH the NHI who then hand them the patent rights, since it’s all a revolving door anyways.

Part of the issue is that our education system just isn't producing enough quality candidates and with the guts to education done by Trump and others before him, that isn't going to change anytime soon

There has been an excessive overproduction of talent in tech and finance as well to the point where there are countless industries that have a lack of technical leadership and have been over relying on the boomers in a game of kick the can down the road and now are retiring en mass and you can't kick the can down the road as well. (I'm in one).
