While on the subject of Romance, I quite enjoyed Toradorra! Because of how fucking long the development and romance took between them both.

It's a little bit scary how much you can push through when you're 1) Stuck in your house due to illness still 2) Daytime TV is crap and 3) We're at the awkward transition between spring and summer seasons in the UK, so the evening TV is frequently crap as well.

So I watched Your Name. and felt my feels ripped out of my fucking soul, it was very emotional, beautifully animated and had a very very simplistic plot which was told oh so well, which is all you really need to ask for a lot of the time, I find. Too many people overcomplicate their plots to try and stand out from the crowd and it frequently results in a confused mess.

I also knocked down Dusk Maiden of Amnesia and found it quite interesting, especially the difference (and far far darker) manga.

Yona of the Dawn was pretty good, to the point it convinced me to pick up the anime to continue on the story, which is a rarity for me.

Currently chewing my way through Nankimo and Your Lie In April, both of which I find quite enjoyable.

I too seem to have gotten stuck on a "Romancish" track at the moment, so will probably move onto something more comedy or action orientated afterwards.

Violet Evergarden.

Because holy shit look at it.

Is it actually coming out now? Are you sure?

As for the spring season itself, it's filled with sequels to shows I don't really care about (although I did like DanMachi). Although if someone would keep up on the subs for Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel, I may watch that. Gotta fill my quota for magical girl anime.

Otherwise, I'm just going to watch some of the shorts this season. I like short anime, even if some of them are "meh", since it at least satiates me whenever I hit dry spells.

Lol still trying to make that, eh? Well, at least they're thinking about having horror directors involved, so there's a silver lining right there.
True, it's basically dead at this point. Hopefully, the horror element can make it somewhat better.
I still hope for an anime adaptation

Any anime people are looking forward to this Spring season?
Clockwork Planet is the only show in the spring season that I have any interest in at all, and even then I'm only curious because robots/androids. Judging from the source material it's probably going to be average at best, but maybe it'll serve as decent background noise. Everything else airing I either know enough about to not want to watch or just don't like those genres.

Summer looks to be far more interesting with Knight's and Magic (probably not going to be all that great but the novel was okayish), more Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl), Isekai wa Smartphone (why the hell is that getting animated), and Centaur no Nayami (Centaur's Worries; definitely going to watch all of this).

Probably isn't a coincidence InuYasha was used and not Naruto. Although didn't they get popular around the same time, or at least within a year of each other?

I never finished either series, but back in the day I used to lurk in both fan groups. The Inu-yasha fans were so cringey that they made most of the Naruto fans look like nuclear scientists by comparison, IIRC.

Also I feel like Adult Swim picked Inuyasha of all things just for advertising as well as parody. Inuyasha was like.. the staple long-running anime on Adult Swim, I watched a lot of it over the years when I was younger.

Inuyasha was one of three anime shows I always remember Adult Swin broadcasting every Satuday nights. other two being FLCL and Cowboy Bebop. Fun fact about me I use to think FLCL was a full length anime with tons of episodes, because it was on Adult Swim for so dame long.

So far the only shows I'm looking forward to seeing is the following

Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Gaiden: Sword Oratoria
GRANBLUE FANTASY The Animation
CLOCKWORK PLANET
Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Kinki Kyouten
sin Nanatsu no Taizai
Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho
Renai Boukun
Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism
Seikaisuru Kado
Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?

I may not finish every series as I tend to give them a "three episode" rule, if the show isn't good past the 3rd episode, I drop it. I do the same with comics now days.

I'll probably check out Granblue Fantasy the Animation, and Rage of the Bahamut: Virgin Soul if I marathon the first season after getting back to Spice and Wolf. If the second season of Berserk '16 is any decent I'll watch it, but I doubt it considering the first season was so bad that it physically hurt to watch.

I hope Attack on Titan S2 has good music, because that was the only good part of the first season and I will gladly torrent the OST again.

pretty sure Inuyasha is the second-most aired anime [as] has after Bebop, honestly. Probably had like a decade of airtime? I remember it was still airing when Toonami was first revived, and I think it debuted in like 2002/2003 or something. It might be tied with The Big O 2, but that's mainly because they literally own it and can air it for free.

the weird thing with FLCL is that [as] seems to air it in bursts, rather than the near-constant playng Bebop gets. It'll air non-stop for a few months, disappear for a year or two, and suddenly start reairing. Not that I'm complaining, of course, FLCL's amazing.
