Being well versed is part of being a good lawyer(which he is not), but there's a lot more to it than just being good with words or being able to spin the conversation in the direction that suits you.

The other explanation for the leak is government incompetence, which is possible! But why would someone in the government, photograph an original copy, of a supplemental report, to send in response to a request, to some random internet person? And while the public record of the supplemental was redacted, would the one handed in person necessarily be redacted? Or would a copy handed afterward? Especially since Nick was acting as his own attorney (and certainly Kayla's, and trying to serve as April's)?

I guess one reason a government employee might leak something that could cost them their career, was holding a stinky young girl's hand, taking them out to their police car, and the stinky unkempt child asks for clean clothes. That could break even the most hardened officer's heart. But enough to risk their pension?

WTF does Aaron have to do with this? I mean other than MAPton's weird obsession with him. Aaron wasn't talked to prior to the arrest by authorities. Certainly, Aaron is named in the warrant, but it was as the other half of the Qover (along with April). The supplemental doesn't include Aaron either, and Aaron's own report is he was talked to by police after the arrest. I know Nick has the "Aaron snitched!" crusade going on, and perhaps he did after the arrest (well ok, he sang like a bird, certainly on the Kino Casino). But he wasn't part of the initial investigation and reporting the led up to the arrest.

Fuck off, I don't give view time or ad views to pedophiles. Nick could easily have just reached out to MAPton out of the blue, or vice versa. In fact, it's much more likely MAPton was sitting in Nick's DMs during Nick's jail time, and I'm sure checking Twitter was the first thing Nick checked after he got his phone back. Nick may not have been super aware of MAPton, but MAPton was aware of Nick. (If for nothing else than the hot tub streams.)

The only wrinkle I'll add is a photograph, although of a document (rather than a screen showing a document), is similar to another leaker. But that's even more tenuous than Nick having done it.

IMO most people are thinking about the footage wrong. I think his plea would have probably keep it hidden (he's plead guilty, but has not technically been found guilty), except he's made so many public claims about all the horrific state conduct that will be in there that now the cops (who clearly fucking hate him already) want to release it to clear the air and show he's a liar under the public interest exception.

Or Hardin called Pomplin and sweet talked him into signing just by telling him how much shit Nick talked.
