ive interpreted them as satirical and worked with it since the general gameplay was good enough and not complete shit. for example, the reason i never continued with that tales from the borderlands sequel was not due to le woke or character designs or anything like that. i just hated how the movement of walking around felt, and that was enough to make me not continue playing. Kinda the same reason why i never finished the first alan wake

If you're okay with top-down retro shooters, I've been playing the shit out of Intravenous 1 and 2. It's like Splinter Cell meets Hotline Miami. There is some emphasis on stealth, but it's totally valid to turn every level into a bloodbath with music pounding. There is absolutely zero DEI, and nearly every character is white.

Depends on what you consider "woke". There are things in games that people consider "woke" that I don't and vice versa.

I haven't read the whole thread so forgive me if there's any repeating to my suggestion. (Also this is an older thread)

Baldur's Gate 3 is what I would consider more on the "woke" side but does a great job keeping it in the background if you don't like it. To an extent. There is an insane amount of gay couples via NPCs. You'd need more than both your hands to count them all in the entire game.
Most of them lesbians which pushes a theory I have about corporations pushing lesbian relationships in their media because men are more likely to accept the homo propaganda because lesbians are ""hot"" and ""sexy"". Lots of porn material to come from it.

But that's a whole other discussion.

Baldur's Gate 3 also has an npc drag queen voiced by an irl drag queen and an actual mtf troon npc.

You can choose to kill them, of course. But if you're trying to play the good guy, that makes it rough.
Oddly enough, I did kill the troon in one playthrough and yet later on the game treated it as if it were still alive.
Likely an oversight though.

It's the witch that throws cats. Inspired by the enemy from Symphony Of The Night. There is a tranny enemy in SotN. But it's not the witch. It's one of the floating mages. I think the one in pink. It's been a long time. They changed the description in th ePSP version because "new half" might be offensive. It was only when I read an article about it that I finally realised what that meant. I assumed she was supposed to be half vampire, half demon, half something. Why they used a term that made no sense to 90s English speakers is beyond me anyway.

I hate the “gender erasure” shit so much it’s unreal. Granted, the game almost never uses it in its current state, death quotes don’t refer to the player as a man or a woman, only a few NPC dialogues take that into account. Still hate it though, I hope the “pronoun revolution” shit gets nukes from culture within the next few years
As for terraria’s mods, Calamity is another story. One of the NPCs is supposed to be a they/themtard and there’s an (avoidable) self insert lesbian tranny NPC that can turn into a MLP character :cryblood:
 
I honestly can’t think of any. Woke games are just bad.

The closest I can think of is the Tomb Raiser reboot but that was still kind of bad. The first Horizon game but that was before they made it woke. Fallout 3 if you count the alien guy as being some kind of LGBTQ allegory but that’s a stretch. The MOTHER series has a lot of braindead woke fans but the games aren’t woke (more of the opposite I’d argue) so I don’t think that counts. F-Zero GX has a gay nigger in it. Does that count?

I played the first Tomb Raider in the reboot series. And it felt fine if you ignore the story.

With 2018 I couldn't wait to finish my work every day so I could get back in the game and play more. With Ragnarok I loathed starting it up, and I finally quit maybe 30% through. I was finding myself wanting to skip every cutscene in Atreus sections and constantly pausing to tell my friends how shitty the game was. I couldn't do it, I deleted it. What a disappointment.

ETA: Oh it's also very buggy and combat feels noticeably worse than 2018. The camera constantly gets stuck against walls so you can't see enemies or your character. Enemies get stuck walking in place in random areas, especially if you're fighting on multiple planes. Scripted sections with NPCs become broken or buggy if you wander too far off the path. 2018 combat was simpler, but much more satisfying and hard fights on hard difficulty were challenging.

I wish Kratos would split Freya's skull with his wife's axe. Absolutely insufferable character. God of War 2018 was great, I really enjoyed it on PC as well. I don't understand why they wanted to poz/girlboss the sequel. I miss the original trilogy and PSP ports. Great games.
 
Is Xcom Chimera Squad worth playing? I was a fan of nuXcom but avoided Chimera Squad because of all the wokeshit. But the game is £3 now.
