(Highest drop rates for low and high respectively)
Don't remind me I am going to try and see if I can get to Loc Lac with the via self hosting a private server in hopes that high rank treats me better.

Only took them 14 years to nerf the desire sensor

I got sick of fighting Rath and not only got full Agnaktor, but all of the lances I care about minus the rusted lance as rng hates me. Used my only Rath plate (which was a tail cut) on Siegmund as I always go for better weapons over armor as just knowing how the monster attacks will always be better than any defense armor gives. Skills/looking good are the only reason for armor which is why I refuse to use Diablos armor because it is ugly. Critical draw is very good for great sword though looking good it more important.

The more and more I see of Wilds, the more I'm convinced you'll be using the focusing reticle 80% of the time. How long before we get to re-angle attacks mid-animation?

After the end of the OBT, I did what I figured was the normal thing and uninstalled it through Steam. That's when I noticed something weird: something is taking up nearly 100GB of space on my SSD that wasn't being used before. I wasn't paying very close attention because it's not something I thought I'd ever need to monitor. It's still possible that something I did during the same rough time frame is causing this, and not the MHW OBT, but I'm slowly ruling out other stuff and not finding any definitive cause.

I saw some news items reporting a ~140GB predicted install size for the finished game, and I think the OBT was somewhere in the 30-40GB zone. Is it possible that something reserved that extra space when it shouldn't have? The OBT also removed itself from my Steam library, but I figured that wasn't too strange.

Man I miss Loc Lac, was my favorite gathering hub by far. Never got around to attempting that but I doubt I will, won't be the same. It's never the same.

Other than that, you probably can find new videos talking about preview on these gamingnews youtube page.
But I'll link Denfaminico, gameplay without any audio comment. It has all monsters not in the last beta test and includes new cutscenes.

So I'm looking for a recommendation for wilds; I know I'm going to use the charge blade but I want to finally learn a ranged weapon but I'm not sure which one. Can somebody give me a real simple breakdown on the difference between bow, lbg, and hbg? I've tried to get into them before but it feels like there's so much going on and learning new things just ain't it some times

real simple breakdown on the difference between bow, lbg, and hbg
Things must do: bringing extra mats to craft during hunts. Binding fast crafting into hot keys.
Bow - Very spammy playstyle and the hardest one in three range weapons.
Lowest effective range (good damage, you'll see inner aiming circle turn orange), basically almost melee range. Using a lot of stamina, because players have to charging up arrows and dodging between attacks. Most effective weapons are elemental. They are kinda similar Dual Blades in those regards.
Preferably using Power coatings as much as possible. Fire herb + empty phials for power coatings.

Bowguns only consume stamina when dodging or blocking with a shield HBG.
LBG - easiest one to play.
Very mobile, has better range than bow. Lots of ammo types can be used. Beside typical normal/pierce/spread (raw), it can use elemental ammo (fire, ice, thunder, water, dragon) or status (poison, sleep, paralysis) for utility similar to bows. But its specialty is the rapid fire. Firing 3 shots but only consuming one ammo.
Lower recoil comparing to HBG, basically bullet projectiles won't deviate or be inaccurate as much from crosshair.
Elemental ammo is pierce but with lower tick rates and more match up dependence. Unless it's Sunbreak, raw are meta, don't pay too much attention for this ammo type.

HBG
Obviously very slow (dodging and strafing), which leads to dodge roll being slower but has further range than lbg. More emphasizing on raw ammo types. But since World, it can equip shield modification (in game, not 3rd party mods) to auto-block when not shooting. So it should ease the difficulty a bit, "not dying as much" because of slowness. Otherwise, people would use other modification to increase its damage based on spread or pierce type.

Pierce will hits multiple time through long hitbox. Latchberry + Gunpowder. Gunpowder Lv2 is from flamenut and Lv3 is from blazenut.
Spread is shotgun. Needleberry + gunpowder.
These two ammo types are like the most common to use. Check carefully what kind of ammo each gun support in the crafting or detail menu. Otherwise, you don't want to mismatch the ammo type.

Yeah cool all that shits neat, but fucking Congalala is back? Beautiful.

It's like a monkey's paw with this game. They're fixing the hit stop issues but, they are removing friendly fire.
I could not count how many times I have gotten a free mount or given other players free mounts off up swing combos.
It was always a choice to either learn how to position yourself among other players, or to just sacrifice a slot to flinch free. Now they take it away all together, and I for one will really miss that aspect and lunching my friends.

That's the thing, innit? The solution is simple.

1. Get good, unironically.
2. Just use flinch free

But no. It's somehow an archaic holdover, or it's somehow abused by griefers or its those dang dirty LS weebs. It's never because the people whining have shit positioning and are too stubborn to give up even a single slot of all their comfort skills.

Eh? W-why? Is she a voice actor for the game or is it because "look normies! The main character of your favorite Star Wars trilogy! No, the other trilogy...no the third one."

The correct response.

Kek. Given the Iceborne retcon, if it appears in Wilds then this would be accurate, but as it stands Fatalis from Iceborne is the only canon encounter...rather not rant about that again so whatever.
Good write up btw. I've nothing to comment on at the moment so good job. Changing the color of the text for certain terms is also a good idea that I myself should consider if I do a write up like this.

I've saved my friend a number of times because he was stunned or in a bad position and couldn't block or dodge, as someone who usually used Gunlance with him I can't recall how many times I've saved him. Not to mention when someone else flings my ass into the sky to see if I can mount the monster when there's no ledges near it. Removing friendly fire...I blame longsword users for not going after spots where other hunters aren't attacking, especially the head where the hammer users usually are :smug: . I'm partially kidding as I've hunted with many great LS users, it's just...always the one retard. People must've complained enough for the devs to remove this long standing feature. I wonder what else they're going to remove...

If she was a voice actor for the game you'd think they'd have mentioned that by now. My guess is it's retarded Japs thinking she's a big enough/popular enough celebrity to pull some good marketing.

While people endlessly slop on that Capcock and Ridley muff in the JewTube comments, the Steam discussions are clowning on them like always for such a silly decision.

As expected. The silly Nips just have a vague notion that Star Wars was super cool in the 70s and 80s, and Daisy was in Star Wars, which means more people will be interested in their minds because their appeals to the west has always been superficial.

I dont care though. All I personally need for marketing is gameplay, show me cool monsters and people doing cool hunter things, and show me some snippets of this week's world ending disaster. I dont care what some celebrity or mushed mouth shill they pulled off youtube has to say.

Agreed, in fact the celebrity shit just says to me as them not having anything new to share or they're trying not to show off any issues the game will inevitably have.
