Edit to Add: It would be comedic (and heroic) if they've taken the kids to Disney so Nick can deal with legal issues: divorce, witness tampering, federal cyber crimes, Monty, and a plea agreement.

Outdoor chickens? I could see that, I suppose, and it would be necessary to get rid of them. With raccoons, though, they're extremely clever and able to exploit any weakness in your coop design. And it only takes a few minutes for them to totally massacre everything in there, which they will do given the chance.

Yeah, we used to just have a coop without a door, and the hens wandered in and out as they pleased. We've never had a problem with racoons, but that one skunk encounter scarred me for life.
