People who have played game during last month Gamescom already confirm about cutscene skipping being there for Wilds.
New video (nothing new) from Gamespot has it too

But the button prompt for skip isn't shown on earlier cutscene from video, I guess it's probably pressing twice.
It's the $70 price is a huge no for me, I called this before. Then the system requirement. I truly hate pursuing "new and improve" graphic, I can play the game fine but the ginormous file size 140GB is abhorrent,

Congalala was officially confirmed, that's neat.

On the other hand it humorous seeing people who were super mega hyped in other forums having a conniption over the graphical requirements as if this hasn't been a precedent since World came to PC and DD2. Including people are shocked they're chucking DRM in there too. I will say I think it's retarded that of Capcom, and the gaming industry in general is chasing the highest standards of graphics where only a percent of a percent of players will be able to run at ultra. I'm not personally surprised, just find it cathartic.
If anything people should just wait for the GRank expansion to come out and get the game for 70$ with base game included.

Thank god!

My GTX 1060 was shitting itself with Space Marine 2 to the point that I just uninstalled. So if this is going to give me a similar experience, it will be a hard pass till I do am upgrade.

And like you say, better to just wait for GRank. I never got Iceborne since I had burnt myself up with the normal version of world and if I had played Rise without Sunbreak, it would have felt incredibly lacking.

It's the same thing with Atlus rpgs, once you know the formula it's clear that being an early adopter is not worth it outside of playing with friends.

Still have not seen anything that would convince to not stop playing the older games. No Capcom no one ever cared about your stories in monster hunter people just want to smack monster so we can autistically max out our gear.

Yes some of the mission details were funny and interesting to read, but reading them are optional. Make an rpg or visual novel if you want your players to read otherwise I am skipping the little brown child crying about his lost home and family as idc.

Open Beta test, cross platform multiplayer is available. Character creation carries over to full game, friend registration doesn't.

New trailer, new village, locale and monsters. At least one of them definitely seems to be armor set in hammer video.
For a bit more "tourist guide" about the new stuffs (open beta and trailer above), check here (youtube) from official MonHun showcase.

Probably the most solid batch of monsters that wilds has shown off so far, shame about the literally everything else. I fucking knew wilds was gonna go the artificial fomo route world did and call its demo a "beta" because that sounds more exclusive and special.

Still not sure what weapon to use. I liked the long sword but the hammer was pretty fun too...

Funny the beta is happening just as Dragon Age Veilguard gets released.

I think I'll go for bow and since it seems you can always have a second weapon on you, guess I could try dual blades and unleash my inner berserker weeb. Though I've never properly mained long sword either so might try that as well.

I can't say I like any of the new monsters still. The ones I do like are, Chatacabra, Ray Dau, Arkveld, Lala Barina and Ajarakan. The Narkarkos-esk octopus black flame apex, maybe but there wasn't much of it to see in the trailer. I just think some of the series art style is slowly getting stripped away the more realistic they're pushing these designs. Maybe they'll grow on me in the beta, but I'm still not really impressed.

I can at least see if I like the changes to Hunting Horn in the beta as well. Being able to make your own hunter is nice, and it being transferable to the release as well. Basically infinite character vouchers until release.

how exactly does the beta work? or demo
or whatever

im out of the loop bad
This might be different from past Demo's since it's a semi open world map, but the demo will probably be similar to what people have been playing at all the event shows; Tokyo Gameshow/GamesCom/ect.
My best guess is that you create your hunter, and they just throw you into the Plains map hub, and ask you to hunt a 3 monsters of increasing difficulty. Beginner, Intermediate and then a Hard hunt. Usually the flagship is the Hard monster.

Heard they took the MH specific language out of the game entirely, can anyone else confirm?
Even if it was Japanese gibberish, taking the hunter language out of the game is an immediate disavow from me and I will not buy the game. Watch Capcom sell it as a dlc or something.

Monster hunter should have just kept the standard language instead of wasting money on sperate dubs. Voice acting is not cheap and most of the time the English dub sucks or worse dubbed by angloids.

I'm just going off of the few forum posts I see and a friend who has access to the PS5 demo. Could be something they have in the full game but considering who Capcom is trying to appeal to post-World it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Figured I'd ask here too, to see if anyone could corroborate.

INB4 language files.

From JP twitter showcasing their character creation. Non-weeb or anime, green hair freak is Petelgeuse from Re zero.

Abe Hiroshi and Yoshi P, kind of.

Of course, the same old World incident is back. So yeah, any (anime) female player characters may wanna be more mindful with in game lightning and exaggerated expression. Kinda remind me of how SF6 character expression, can be ugly/gonk with expression. Especially with the two lines between cheeks and lips/mouth.

Holy shit it looks like a completely different character.

Capcom and freaks go hand in hand, wonder if that was before or after they were influenced by Western politics? Would be hilarious if the latter. Also I figured they took out what was essentially drunken Japanese, I still think the language files will take too much space, guess we'll wait and see.

It's more or less, I don't understand or agree why (Capcom) animators really have to animate that much of expression with those lines between cheeks and mouth. Those two lines are only really visible when doing a big smile, whatever stock photo smile or really angry. That is when people really trying hard with facial expression. Unless someone is really old, then lines are already so visible. A smirk shouldn't be that bad.
Same thing with my first impression to Dante in DmC 5 reveal trailer (doesn't help with his hobo stubbles), , then other parts he looks fine. Going with realistic art direction and "inappropriate" lightning will hurt way more. Cutscenes usually have more refined lightning so those won't look as bad like normal gameplay.

Capcom has always been or probably the most westaboo JP company since forever, imo. Debatable with Sony, but Sony doesn't make games. Petelgeuese one isn't that bad. There is even a Frieza. As long as character creation is well made and deeply customizable, someone will try hideous looking characters. Hideous and goofy looking are funny to some people. Souls games and recent SF6 are prime examples.
I can guarantee you that someone (JP) will make a campy muscle gay man in female outfit.
