Considering it's Sonic's plane despite most if not all appearances of it having Tails operating it wouldn't that make sonic a communist? Idon't think he likes communism given his whole thing is he does whatever the fuck he wants, which just happens to mostly be beating the shit out of a guy that makes robots who has a russian name.

I didn’t notice that. An extra nine months for what? Most of these extras are in the Japanese deluxe edition in some form, you don’t even get the journal from the standard edition, and the rest of the collectibles are just shit you could easily put together yourself.
The box art isn’t even unique. The original release had a collectors edition with a special cover, why couldn’t this? How hard is it to have a Sonic and Shadow model look at each other?

Yeah It's very Strange. Also, why couldn't Sega handle the distribution of the Collectors Edition themselves instead of Handing it over to Limited Run Games.

There's a weird amount of cases where games could have easily released without limited run as a middleman but companies keep defaulting to them.

Limited Run Games are infection and keep spreading wherever they go. In other news I heard the movie 3 could be getting a trailer this week. As, we are now 4 months out from release it would be a good time to give us a peak of whats to come besides shadow of course.
 
Wasn't Sonic Genesis made from the Sonic Advance engine (which does EVERYTHING differently form the Genesis games)?

I really have to wonder how and why collector's editions still aren't seen as big of scams as microtransctions and dlc are in the gaming community

It’s because Sega and whoever made the port were lazy and retarded. Here’s a video of a homebrew port that Stealth (one of the key developers of Sonic Mania) made in 2007 to show how little they tried. It sounds like the Genesis, plays at a consistent frame rate, and even has Tails and Knuckles.
Even then, there were far better renditions of these songs in earlier GBA games.
I wish there was more information about this game. What’s this game even based on? I’ve also heard people say it’s based on Sonic Advance but I think it might be based on a J2ME port, which would explain the horrible music. Who actually made this port? Why was this done so late into the GBA’s lifecycle?
