They should have skipped the hassle and just tried to locate frank welker wiht how that's blatantly the kind of voice they've consistently gone for instead of not caring and having him sound completely different like they did every fucking other character each time their VA changed.
Though this isn't the first time a character like this was oddly almost consistently voiced by trying to do a sound-alike for Frank welker. That other time I just found out from looking up the specific "voice" was the one he's known for using THAT voice in.

Doesn’t seem like it. Today there was this bizarre marketing stunt where the official Twitter was reposting images of downtown Tokyo with Sonic 3 related photoshopped on it, a photo of some digital billboard in Frankfurt with Sonic stuff, and a TikTok that features Sonic soying over Speed.

when I was a kid my dad would get me the sonic games the day they came out bc he was a gamer and kept up with retarded shit like that. he didn't play sonic once they went 3D but an easy excuse to my mom for him going and buying himself some game was "I only went and bought the boy that new sonic game he loves it" and when shadow came out I remember getting home from school and starting it and he was watching me play it and started laughing that you could kill cops and sonic would say shit like AYYEHO SHADOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING? THOSE ARE THE GOOD GUYS? and then I died eventually and shadow said "god damn, not here" and he laughed so hard he was hysterically crying and he went and got my older brother and was like dude you have to see this shit and came back in the room and made me jump off the map so shadow would curse again and they were cracking the fuck up and my dad watched me play that whole game while he laughed his ass off.
flash forward to a year or two ago he was at my house around Christmas and saw Sonic Frontiers' box on my coffee table and looked at it, and asked "so does sonic call the titty bat a fucking cunt in this one?" I couldn't believe he even remembered anything about that but he told me to this day he can't think of sonic without laughing his ass off about the gun shooting one where he curses. lol

it's just funny to think about my pop's last interaction with a then current sonic game being the shadow ow the edge game. i love that game just because of those memories because it sucked then and it sucks now but it makes me happy to play because I just laugh thinking about how my dad and brother must have felt witnessing me at 10 or whatever taking that bullshit dead serious.
my dad was like 19 when Sonic came out and saw the commercial and stood outside of some electronics store after work until they opened to buy a sega genesis and that game for him and my uncle. I grew up with archie sonic so it was always melodramatic faggotry to me but I can't imagine what it had to be like to be an adult when the first one came out, keep up with them because they were fun games and then watch your kid play them and see it get to that point. in his mind it was a little blue dude who ran to the right to save squirrels and shit and then eventually became a cartoon animal with glocks shooting cops and saying god damn lmfao

First movie is okay, it's an attempt to grab a general audience's attention for sonic and if you're expecting anything more you won't get it, however Jim Carey as robotnik carries the film hard and is easily the best part
the second movie is great, it has some moments I thought were unnecessary like the wedding and dance off but other times it's good and feels like a treat for sonic fans

It ended up being just surfing and a do-over of the Dragoon bossfight from Forces with the ping-pong style attack. The original fight from Heroes wasn't memorable besides pseudo-super Knuckles and Tails, but this is blander.
Kingdom Valley seems to have been given the Forces treatment in the worst possible way. I can only assume the rest of the stages suffer from similar level design.

I wouldn’t go that far but I get what you mean, it seems considerably more linear than the ARK level. The Mach Speed part with the waterfall also seemed rather dull, which is a shame because they did a better job at representing them at the end of Modern Crisis City, it doesn’t even have you running on the waterfall like in 06. At least it goes on for longer than 90 seconds
