All excellent points, but you forgot the fact that Andrew/Legal Mindset was right there with Drex doing the whole "Nick never changed, Kiwifarms is projecting" crap. I think @elb even has a clip. It was only later he started to backpedal on that.

I guess I am happy he's come around at least somewhat (and is providing an affidavit for Null), but it seems like he's doing it because the winds have obviously shifted, and I'm certainly not gonna ever trust the fuck.

Nick being a useless fuck isn’t his fault. He was somewhere between 6 and 16 once, and had parents. It’s his parents fault he sucks.
 
I very much want to find out if the children were interviewed by the police on the conditions of the home and what they told them. There’s a child neglect case, and I’m sure a guardian ad litem is or will be appointed soon to look after the children’s interests. It would be hilarious if it was an attorney Nick knew.

Maybe this has been brought up in the past 500 pages but I wonder if things are actually worse. The site has taken notice of his decline for at least a year prior, possibly two. At what point did Nick and Kayla abandon their kids? I betting it wasn't overnight and probably got to this point gradually. The oldest might have been just 14 when this all started. There's no way he would've had the mental fortitude to suddenly figure out that he needed to clean and clothe and feed all his siblings at that age while also attending school ESPECIALLY considering that Nick hired help to do all those tasks for them. It's like if you put some guy who once had surgery in charge of a hospital. Sure he might be able to figure some things out but he will get overwhelmed and people will get hurt.

I’m wondering if Nick is buying his own liquor or if he has someone that he might use as a middleman. As other posters have said, he would very likely have gone to an ER by now (or will in the very near future) for alcohol withdrawal if he stopped drinking on 5/23.

Then he goes to jail lol. She can take everything. Eventually he'll miss child support payments and missing those can put you in prison. His parents will have to pony up or let him rot. Either way, he's fucked.
 
We all have seen how mean spirited and manipulative Nick is, and how good he is at gaslight. It's not unreasonable to think to some extent he moderated himself on camera, and things were worse when he wasn't live. We also know Kayla had some sort of existing mental health issues, combine that with Nick and it's entirely possible she was a broken woman, broken of her own agency, who was essentially his puppet, even before she became reliant on him for coke/ket, whatever else she liked. I don't say any of this to defend her or proclaim her innocence, just to say that maybe her descent wasn't so much a 'fuck those kids, I'm gonna do me' and more pushed along by a Nick who was totally in control of her. It's also possible she wasn't a broken woman with no agency, and in fact she pushed Nick to go deeper and embrace his worst impulses and had no regard for the kids. I think we just can't know with how little is known about her in general, and how little is established in the public records with regards to the case.

There were 5 kids. I’d impart of how to look after themselves entirely just so I had to do less work.
 
The solution to the child neglect in the Rekeita household was to create a Whorephanage.

That way the random side pieces can pitch in and take care of the kids.

It is far better than the cuckolded house elf situation they were using.
