Remember the Taste of old school KFC? I recently "treated" myself to some chicken and man, wtf happened? You order a Bucket of Fried chicken and what do you get? A tiny fucking BOX filled with soggy chicken tendies that have literally no flavor at all. The panade is literally the selling point of KFC and even that had to be ruined to cut Costs or some shit.
Gas station fried chicken around here is literally better than KFC now. Sad!

I used to live three houses down from a rural gas station that morphed into a sort of diner. They had some of the best pork tenderloin I ever had. They breaded it in the same sort of breading they used for the chicken, and it was yummy.
It's about 50 miles away how, but now I think i'm going to go down sunday and grab one of them.

I went to grab a fish sandwich for lunch from Popeyes and they were out, so I said screw it and went across the street to KFC and tried their chicken sandwich.
It was a pretty substantial and juicy piece of chicken, the breading and bun were excellent, and if the pickles werent of such poor quality, I could see it giving Popeyes a run for their money.
All said and done, I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
 
The cool thing about my town is that many people learned fast food management at the big chains and the dropped out and started their own businesses. I have a out 10 Burger joints doing delivery which use hand made bread and REAL(!) meat for patties, some even make their fries from scratch. I think i'll go for a big fat Burger today, it's the beginning of the month after all and i can't See any more Spaghetti with tomato sauce.

But on another Note, how do americans make their pancakes so fluffed the fuck up? I just can't wrap my head around these weird pancake mountains you see in sitcoms and cartoons. You guys putting baking Soda in them or something?

I usually mix Eggs, sugar, Butter, milk and flour with sliced Apples. Sometimes they become so dense they are almost bread like, but man they keep you going the whole day, especially if you spread honey on them.

Now, I had pancakes yesterday, with bacon and eggs. Was super delicious. If anyone take’s anything away from this post, this is the important point.

No one cares much about the sharty except the sharters themselves. Only sharts of note in this sub-forum are the sharts Gunt performs in distinctly unprivate moments, legs akimbo, gunt slapping against everything, inebriated beyond belief, thoroughly distracted -he lets one rip, but he shouldn’t have trusted the horror-body, & finally realizes the show’s still live:

I like them about equal, haven’t been able to pick a side in recent times. That recipe looks great though, so gonna have to pull out my waffle irons and get to it. (Have too many eggs in the house atm, so we are doing lots of breakfast for dinner style meals.) Waffles are an art form, & delicious. I always add a pinch of vanilla extract to my batter as an extra ingredient. Makes all the flavors pop.
 
I am absolutely ok with this. I'll have a story on Thursday about my adventure in cooking home made bison burgers, last ingredients I need won't be here until then.

The burgers turned out ok. My fault, I should've doubled up on the meat and cut back on the spicing. Overall idk about Bison for burgers, its got a very sharp taste that seems to come and go randomly.

Was it not a bit tough?

Bison meat tends to have less fat, so burger is not exactly the best way to go. It's better suited for slow cooking. Unless you grinded the meat yourself and added some fat, I suspect it would be a bit dry.

It actually wasn't. You're right though, bison for slow cooking is probably the way to go. Bison Meat Shepard's Pie is the shit.

bison meat chili is really really good too. I have a permanant chili recipe ive been working on for a few years,.. gotta brown the meat and then it all goes into a crockpot to cook while you are at work...

NOTAFED's Midwestern Chili (Mild Version)

2 pounds ground Bison (brown and drain) with 1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 - 46 ounce bottle of vegetable juice (v88)
1 - 28 ounce can diced tomatoes (undrained)
1 each chopped yellow, orange and green pepper
1 1/2 cup chopped onion... (about 1 medium onion, no need to be exact)
1 1/2 cup chopped celery
1 can red beans, drained
1 can mixed chili beans (undrained)
1/3 cup chili powder
1/4 cup yellow corn meal
1 tablespoon cumin
2 teaspoon dark brown sugar
2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 1/2 teaspoon mexican oregano
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon msg

Add all ingredients (including browned meat) to a cuisinart multicooker or large crockpot, they will fit! (add vegetable juice last).
Bring to a boil on the cook setting (350 degrees) then turn down to low and cook a minimum of 6 hrs
stiring very occasionally

Goes good with cornbread.

note: I usually will separately add some additional blistered chilis to my bowl but this one is made so the kids can eat it too
