As I stated, I really don't want to see Brazil or France win it. Don't want to see England either since the team is barely English or British and would be vindication of all the woke virtue signalling horseshit.

Brazil looked unbeatable against South Korea but South Korea just imploded after that bullshit penalty.

Argentina and Protugal offer the best hope to avoid these undesirable outcomes. I'd like to think Croatia as well but I thibk that's more wishful thinking. I'd prefer Netherlands over the hated three but the Dutch team is compromised as well, more blacks that the socalled German team.

The best possible outcome for this World Cup would be for Portugal to win with Ronaldo on the bench for the rest of the tournament. I want to see him celebrating with his teammates and pretending to be happy.

I keep hearing this take but I'm struggling to see the actual basis for it. The only player in the squad not born in England was Sterling, whilst Saka is a 2nd gen immigrant. That's 2 out of 26 players you could say aren't english. 3 if you want to count 3rd gens like Rashford. Of these 3, only 1 is actually a starter. It's probably the most ethnically english the squad has been for a long time, and certainly one of the most mono-nationality squads in the whole tournament

You’re 100% right, proud British names like Raheem and Bakayo go as far back as the Anglo-Scottish wars in the late 13th century. Brave Knight Raheem Wallace fought off the Scottish menace to reclaim England for the English, for king and country. King Bakayo III rewarded his efforts with land and riches beyond his wildest dreams. It’s a little known fact of British history.

I reject the magic dirt theory. Jared Taylor being born in Japan, is not Japanese. Anyone not of exclusive European descent is not British, cannot be British. There have been migrations from modern day Scandinavia, Netherlands, France, and Germany. Racial and cultural similarities allow someone descending from there to assimilate. Rossettis descend from Italy, that kind of thing.
Blood and soil, more blod tjan soil really, and not just soil.

Lol, lets be real, if it wasn't for other people playing on and migrating to it because of money reasons, english league and the whole squad would be completely useless and their best result would still be the 66 one, probably for eternity.

England would be a better wales, but not by that much, and would be obliterated by france, who welcome people from different origins in the NT.

The idea of a 100% british is a joke, everyone came from a different place somewhere in time, you say you can accept a frenchie that imigrated there some years ago but not an african who came 1 or 2 generations ago? How do you even define assimilation? These players are literally the reason why the english NT is there at first place, you have to accept it, because if not, you would be just denying the reality.

In south america I am pretty sure that no one questions the country that neymar antecessors came from, he was born and raised here, just like the english lads, that is what matters the most. And colonizers countries have this opportunity that could be considered unfair and they still seethe at the results, that is just insane.

In today's match the second goal by portugal was by Pepe, a born and raised brazilian that choose portugal as his country. And there is also Hakimi who was born and raised on spain and played against them by choosing Morocco.
Neither made wrong choices, but both NT benefitted from it for sure.

Not sure how you can consider Saxon/Viking/Norman invasions as 'assimilation' while disregarding any imported empire sorts as being able to culturally assimilate but sure, ok. Even by just stretching the definition to 'no-one with a drop of non-white', you only expand the pool to 6 (Sterling, Saka, Rashford, Wilson, Bellingham, Phillips), still a massive minority of the squad and also only covering 2 actual starters (presuming Sterling doesn't return)

Great Britain and Europe are not South America. Nor is Japan. And so on.

Also, the woke virtue signaling is reason enough not to pull for England, and that as someone who liked England almost as much as Germany bc of my ancestry, my affinity for British culture and music etc.....

Geographic proximity, racial and ethnic similarities explain why migrants from elsewhere in Eurpe are fundamentallyndiffernt than this existential threat.

Looking at the team over one fourrh not English. Somehow Germany is now worse than England....

Edit--Per @Shining Wit's wit admonition, the pic that I secured from typing "England World Cup Team 2022" i to Google were wrong. I hopp this pic is correct, which seems worse than the pic I originally uploaded. Point seems to stand regardless.

Harry Kane comes from a pure, inbred british bloodline that predates the roman conquest. He is the archetypal brit and his dna overpowers all the african players in the squad combined.

After the wild group stage there is basically only one team that doesn't "fit" in there and it's Morocco. Maybe Croatia could be replaced with Germany but given how the Croatians have performed in the last tournaments and how their players are spread around the top leagues and top teams nowadays Croatia isn't a small team anymore and even less a surprise. So it's just Morocco. Besides them only big names left and it's like that there are only 3 big names missing (Germany, Spain and Italy). Switch Morocco with Spain and it's more obvious how the WC is basically a Euro Cup but with guests (Brazil and Argentina).
So I am actually curious how the next WC with more teams and groups will play out. If it may change the landscape a bit.

Anyway, my predictions:

Netherland vs Argentina - during the Bo16 it looked like both teams have found their flow but in the end Argentina will prevail.
Brazil vs Croatia - Croatia can be hard to crack open but I don't see how Brazil will not win this match.
France vs England - I don't see how the English defence will stop the France offensive.
Morocco vs Portugal - It won't be another 6:1 but Portugal will win. Morocco will fight like lions but in the end Portugal will win.

Netherland vs Argentina
Brazil
vs Croatia
France vs England
Morocco vs Portugal

I would have chose Morocco if not for today's match.

Argentina
Brazil
France
Morocco

I wouldn’t be shocked if Morocco pulls off another Cinderella. One, there’s usually one team from the host region that really exceeds expectations. Two, Spain blew out Costa Rica and then ran out of gas. It’s possible Portugal blew their load on the Swiss, and Penaldo might be enough of a narcissist that he’d rather lose if he’s benched again.

I would give my prediction and reasoning yet its all right here lol

ENGERLUND

I think this Portugal team will go to the final assuming Santos has the balls to keep Ronaldo on the bench. There's really no way he can put him back in the starting 11, not after what we saw today. This team is as good as Brazil or France when he's not slowing them down.
