@Spellskite I forgot all about Franklin, guess it was because Schultz drew him as a normal kid..... and not a special snowflake that everyone else had to defer to.

I guess a better point would be that the long running strips keep free of social satire except in the broadest sense and don't create strawmen just to rip them apart for the enjoyment of those on the other side. People like to mock Garfield for being bland and unfunny and that Jim Davis was a sellout. Know what else he was? A quiet guy who was content to collect his paychecks and go home without becoming an insufferable douche.

He has a very strong influence in the fandom as he's gotten his crayon drawings into the transformers fan club magazines (subscriber only for just 100$ a shit recolor toy and funpub losing your credit card numbers!)

One thing I can link is Willis's usual hangout for TFwiki talks or just plain SJW circlejerking is a TF forum called The Allspark. I pretty much left that place once it became a giant "be PC or GTFO" mentality in 2014. Im tired of seeing that shit on tumblr and I don't need to see it on a fucking transformers forum of all places.

Yeah. He was at Botcon instead of with his wife when she was having her first ultrasound (good job Willis. What a great dad you are) and he found out through text it wasn't just 1 kid, but twins.

To be honest, I actually don't mind the art style. It's for the most part consistent and isn't appalling to look at.

That's really the only good thing I can say about the comic though.

In the end, I always feel shallow most of the arguments that regular superhero art style only appeals to males as generally devolves in "certain art appeals to other gender more than another and it should be like that" and that discussion by itself is icky itself by modern artistic standards. Is an interesting topic that even appears in discussion about manga, but generally speaking seem mostly spoken to decry tastes.

That art style does not work for porn. The weird faces and lopsided mouths completely ruin whatever sexiness Willis is trying to convey in these comics.

Then again, that Fan Club magazine merch and stories are awful in their own right so dunno if it is a great achievement be associated by proxy to them.

Also, that last part about the ultrasound sounds like a disaster waiting to happen; joking about being a insufferable autist geek doesn't excuse you in being one, Willis.

Unless I missed some big blow up that came afterward, I think Linkara -begrudgingly- acknowledged on Twitter his old account on that particular forum for that particular fetish, and told people to move on from bringing the subject up again.

It would be incredibly hilarious if his kids ended up not only hating Transformers, but also eventually have some kind of religious conversion and end up joining a denomination of Christianity (or Islam) later in life/after they go off to college.
