When you grift long enough it's easy to believe your own spiel and think you're much better than you are. If I had to guess I reckon Herr Doktor Gerry knows that Maradonia is gash but thinks he can find enough marks who'll buy it because he's simply that good. Gloria is either a deck officer or a passenger on the ruse cruise; given the blatant dishonesty of her Instagram postings I'm leaning toward the former.

Exactly. In the "book trailer" the "publishing expert" they "interviewed" said that there were only a finite number of books and that when they sell out they're gone for good. He went on to say that that's how publishing works 'everywhere'. In fact, genuine publishers do the opposite. They'll do a first run of a book and if there's demand for more they'll publish another run and another as long as there is demand. The only publishing model that works as described in the book trailer is vanity publishing/print on demand.

Even the biggest idiots out there could see through that one. Publishing would never work at all if that was the business model.

I think it's along the lines of both. Gloria really believes she's this amazing author and gorgeous model and talented singer. But at the same time she takes the old saying "fake it until you make it" to new heights, trying to trick people into believing she's rich and famous until she is.

I've seen economists in news reports get to the point faster. Seriously, so many short sentences that add nothing important. So aliens emerge from the craft and scare people. Of course, the two aliens that emerge are actually Plouton's agents, and carry their heads in their hands. Oddly enough, that reminds me of the last book. I wonder why? Fortunately our heroes know the truth! And deicde to exposit to each other, poorly.

It's good to know that Gloria always plays to her strengths when writing. So, the two concoct a plan to escape the clutches of Plouton.

Right, first some backstory. The tarnkappes were given to the kids, they are hats that make them invisible and allow them to jump a long distance. In reality, the Tarnakappe is stolen from myth, it was originally a cloak of invisibility that Siegfried had. Even he wasn't as OP as Maya and Joey, because apparently their versions mean that the evil doers are rendered utterly impotent.

Fortunately, Maya continues to make me think that this family has some sort of underlying genetic issues.

The man who wrote the spork for Maradonia calculated that they weren't actually in charge for very long, less than a month, and yet Maya has somehow gained this massive complex where she believes herself to be royalty. Maya might be going insane, which would hardly be a surprise, considering that her brother is a massive dickweed. If you want to know why two sentences are in italics, it's because I don't fucking know.

But then, their mother comes in and overhears them! OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD! Fortunately, she doesn't understand any of ti but vows to get to the bottom of it. Is this plot point followed up? No. No it's not. Because fuck my life.

So that's chapter 2, it's pointless and has long dialogue pieces that don't say anything and Joey and Maya are both losing their minds. Perfect.
 
That Arab guy's French is pretty poor and looks like something copypasted from Google Translate, but I think he is trying to say "it's pretty but why does she want to be something God never created". I guess mermaids are haram?

Yeah, was going to comment on that but maybe he's just illiterate or speaks some weird patois that nobody else understands.

Back to the picture though, I'm guessing it was done in B&W because... art? And seriously, have these people that follow her on Twatter ever seen another woman in their entire life? Guys. She's not that hot... ish.

Great job. I've read the first five "chapters" for free on Kindle and I could barely make it through them. For somebody to actually sit down and go through these things so that the rest of us don't have to suffer is just the best.

So thank you so much for this and may GodBearJesus have mercy on your sanity.
