Donald K. Bushell Jr. is a 68 year old former aerospace engineer turned lawyer, moonlighting as a YouTube singer/dancer. You might recognize him if you still watch YouTube with ads, he buys ad space to promote his music. He's most well known for the videos he makes of him dancing to his songs with stock footage dancers. Join me as we take a look at this goofy boomer.
Before YouTube
Don was born on July 19, 1958. Don would graduate from the University of Arizona in 1982. He would go on to work as a systems engineer for Boeing, eventually earning Boeing's Special Invention Award in 2011. Link | Archive
However, after decades in the industry, Don decided it was time for a change of pace. In 2015, Don would be entered into the California State Bar (a), marking the start of his career as a lawyer. He's actually qualified to practice law in two other states as well. He would be entered into the Washington State Bar in 2018 (a) as well as Arizona in 2022.
He joined the Arizona Bar at the request of his wife to help in a family matter(a):
Don would start his own legal practice, Bushell Law PLLC, in 2025. Looking at the website (a), we can see that web design is not Don's forte:
We can also find a picture of Don taking his oath of attorney for Washington:
Renaissance Don
Don's first publicly available YouTube video was uploaded on September 11, 2022. It's a music video for his song "We've Got Inflation".
3:22
The backing track sounds like one of those royalty-free EDM tracks you would hear beginning of old YouTube computer tutorials. You'll notice that his singing skills are only marginally better than his web design skills. Also worth noting, the highest resolution available is 360p, certainly a strange choice for a video coming out in 2022. I'll let Don himself explain what the song is about:
Reading further in the description, we get something else:
As you'll come to see, this is a pattern with Don. He'll often have stuff like this in the description, listing out locations that he filmed at, what he wears, the equipment he uses, etc. Sometimes he even includes a boomer's tutorial on how to find his videos
The five videos he uploaded during this time, while amateurish, are actually kind of charming. I think Don went out and recorded his own b-roll, and it looks like he has an actual set.

3:30
He even films this one outside:
3:39
On December 11, 2022, Don would discover stock footage as well as greenscreens.
working on it
From here on out, all of Don's music videos would be him dancing in front of a greenscreen while stock footage plays in the background. He would even remake one of his earlier music videos in this style:
3:27
Next, Don would actually put out the number one love song of 2023:
3:48
Clearly, Don was snubbed by the industry, this is a banger and I'm upset I haven't heard of it until now.
Ok, a lot of Don's videos get samey at this point, he dances in front of stock footage of women. Let's take a detour to his site.
Don has a website for his music(a).
As you can see, this website has slightly more effort put into it than the one for his legal business. But not much. There are a few sections:
The horizontal and vertical video sections are exactly what they sound like. He's sorted his videos by orientation. He also sometimes refers to this as his videos being "optimized for TV" or "optimized for phone". A lyrics section (a), where Don posts the lyrics to all of his songs:
Very, cool, Don! The Press Release section(a) contains every article Don has participated in that relates to his music career.
Don has also released his music onto digital platforms like Apple Music and Spotify. His album art is quite something:
Ok, let's get back to the music.
On June 2, 2023, Don would upload "Love Abyss". This video is notable because it marks the beginning of Don's post-dance rambles. This one starts off pretty short, but later they will expand to over six minutes of Don rambling about the song's inspiration, his thought process, and whatever else really, all while out of breath from dancing. They almost always include the phrase, "Dr. Don loves you, never forget"
4:08
From here, it's a lot of the same, so I'll go over the highlights. Something worth noting are Don's titles. He often uses them to describe what the song is about:
9:05
As I mentioned earlier, the ramblings have increased. The song is only 4:25 long.
8:10
Look at him shred!
0:19
Dr. Don loves you
Now and forever
Never forget it

Article / Archive
A father says his nine-year-old son spent $118,000 from his company credit card on YouTube advertising campaigns for his Minecraft and Roblox videos before the charges were discovered by his employer.
Dave explained what happened in a video uploaded to the Mighty Mike Plays YouTube channel, which is run by his son, Mike. The boy’s channel features gameplay from Minecraft and Roblox, and Dave said it began as a simple way for his son to share the games he enjoyed.
According to Dave, he originally helped Mike create a small $20 YouTube ad campaign after the boy became frustrated that his videos were not attracting views or subscribers. Dave said he walked his son through the process of setting a budget, choosing an audience, and launching the campaign.
14:36
The spending continued for three weeks
Dave said he had previously saved his company card to the Google account connected to his work email, calendar, files, and payment methods. After watching his father create the $20 campaign, Mike allegedly returned to the advertising tools and began creating campaigns of his own.
“He didn’t really register that was supposed to be some kind of limit in his head,” Dave said. “The logic was simple, I guess. More money, more views.”
The father said he was later called into a meeting with his manager, corporate representatives, and finance staff. During the meeting, employees showed him a breakdown of advertising spending from the previous three weeks and asked him to explain $118,000 in charges on the company card assigned to him.
Dave said the transactions were tied to videos with titles including “Mighty Mike,” “Epic Roblox,” and Minecraft gameplay. He added that three of the promoted videos had reached around 200,000 views, but said he had not yet been told whether the company would require him to repay the money or whether he would keep his job.
The father repeatedly said he did not believe his son understood the significance of the spending, but acknowledged that he was responsible for leaving the payment information available without spending limits or parental controls.
Dave said the family plans to remove saved payment details, add spending caps, and set up parental controls. He also said the Mighty Mike Plays channel could be paused while the situation is reviewed.
The video ends with Dave saying the family will work through the situation together, while warning that the channel may not return until “real guard rails” are in place. When asked is Mighty Mike has anything to say to his viewers, the 9-year-old replied, “I’m deffinitely cooked.”
Dave’s account, including the $118,000 figure and the company’s response, has not been independently verified.

"The Man Who Will Take Down the MrBeast Empire"
On Kiwi Farms, there are a group of users known as effortposters. They are a type of power user on the Kiwi Farms that is appreciated by the community for their work in archiving, writing OPs and contributing to the site at large with their detailed posts. Many new users strive to become the next great Green Reddit effortposter lauded by all. Enter one Diego Campisi, who desired to do just that. Although he had a bit of a rocky start on the forum, Diego would finally get his big break with his Chris Tyson rewrite, which was even featured. With this, Diego had finally made his mark on the forum and entered the Kiwi effortposter big leagues.
Regrettably, Diego let this newfound praise quickly get to his head and became convinced that due to writing a big exposé on Chris Tyson, he would be the one who would finally take down the MrBeast Empire. Unfortunately for him, Diego completely ignored the forum's rule against cowtipping and took his investigations way too far. Not only did he somehow manage to let a bunch of trannies get his dox that they would then blackmail him with, but he also annoyed a bunch of Kiwi Farmers with spam PMs that got them to look into his gay ops. From piss poor formatting, constant gay ops and cowtipping, wanting to hack a kid in order to get them off the Internet, spamming ChatGPT niggerbabble and DFEing when he couldn't deal with the consequences of his actions, only to make the exact same mistakes again on a new sock account, join us as we detail the autistic disaster that is Diego Campisi. If you want a case study on how not to handle posting leaks on Kiwi Farms or another reason this forum has a rule against cowtipping, this is your OP.
The first major lolcow Diego was involved with was MamaMax. Just to quickly give you context and get you up to speed, in early January of 2024, MamaMax was facing controversy after the questionable inner workings of his Discord evidence gathering server used for his investigations were leaked.
This is where Diego comes in as Diego was the one who went into the server and leaked it. Diego actually wanted to come to Kiwi Farms with his information as he was in contact with @Thechanman on Discord with the name "Ponyus37454" which was leaked in the post: @Thechanman got a bit of pushback for just leaking Diego's Discord account, mainly due to thinking that MamaMax might try to dox him if he saw who was behind the leaks:
However, Diego didn't mind, actually wanted credit for these leaks and didn't care that his name was out there:
Diego had registered and was just waiting to be approved by mods so he could post what he found. Diego named his Kiwi Farms account @PonytusPussLord454, which is very similar to the Discord name he was under at the time. He would register the account on January 20th, 2024:
Once he was approved by mods, Diego would immediately make his first post in the MamaMax thread claiming that he was the one who leaked everything and that MamaMax wanted to dox him:
0:19
0:14
@Null would even give a bump to Diego's post after it got approval due to the promising content that he could provide:
The next day, Diego would call another MamaMax leaker named Colton a "cunt" who was trying to clout chase, post DMs between them. He also promised more leaks on Twitter once he was organized:
0:31
Diego was basically a pot calling the kettle a nigger when insulting Colton for clout chasing and was called out for this in the thread:
Diego's response:
Here's a bit of a TLDR because Diego likes to post in paragraphs of niggerbabble, and trust me, this is recurring thing with this guy that's only going to get worse from here. In response to @Freelance Police questioning him shitting on Colton for clout chasing when he was more or less doing the same thing, Diego explained that the problem was he believed there was someone in his investigation group "snaking" him and feeding them false information about Colton.. Diego and his team were trying super hard to reorganize and ensure there was no false information so that Spencer (a victim MamaMax was trying to investigate who was also caught lying) "does not get away with this shit" and mentioned he had difficulty handling the new attention he was receiving from the leaks. Essentially, Diego was kind of rushing into this and didn't realize that more serious work was required than he originally thought for doing an investigation like this and getting credit for it.
@Freelance Police would reply chastizing Diego for his dumb statement, saying that Diego and Colton were both clout chasers and that Diego's attempts to form "vigilante" justice groups was gay because they were just a bunch of dipshits on the Internet and not real investigators. He advised Diego and his group to tell the victims to contact actual authorities for help instead of trying to do it themselves and told Diego "don't try to be a hero":
This would've been the right time for Diego to reflect on his behavior up to this point and maybe dial it back before he did something really stupid.
Diego would proceed to chug on as if nothing @Freelance Police said mattered, posting an Imgur link that was part of the leak and saying genuine clout chasing was for faggots and those faggots need to kill themselves:
Diego also made a post where he tried countering claims of clout chasing by claiming he didn't have a YouTube channel and therefor "nothing to gain" and complained about YouTubers instructing him to do a "slow burn" of slowly releasing the leaks to get views. He also claimed he and his group didn't send anything to the police because they feared getting in trouble:
Not everyone in the thread was as harsh as @Freelance Police to Diego. @Musashi's Son told Diego commentary channels were grifters and advised him to take a break and not get burnt out from the situation:
In fact, several people agreed with this sentiment and warned Diego about commentary channel grifters and advised him to learn from this going forward with any future leaks and investigations:
Was Diego taking this all in? No, not really. He would seemingly ignore it and go back to shitting on Colton:
0:08
@Musashi's Son then tried once again to advise Diego to stop taking retarded backroom deals with commentary fags and actually speak to Kiwi Farms staff to properly verify his information:
Diego promised to do so and asked for help to speak to the mods:
While some users were more patient with Diego and wanted his information verified, other users were getting tired of Diego baiting them with the information. Many would-be leakers in threads often get shit when they keep mentioning how they have heaps of information but delay posting it for asspats. In response to some people in the thread telling Diego to stop dangling the promise of information like a faggot and just post the leaks, he promised he would post "everything" tomorrow:
Which he would do:
Unfortunately, he fucked up on the links and didn't really archive shit properly:
He would try to correct this with his follow up post:
He posted more mega.nz links but didn't archive properly leaving other users in the thread to pick up the slack:
Diego then posted about how he was able to infiltrate MamaMax's Discord by contacting an associate of MamaMax named Red Pagan to vet him so he could get in under MamaMax's nose. He gloated about how he was able to fool Max and slip through:
Diego's actions here were described as "niggardly detective behavior" and he was called out for his gay roleplay and stories about being le based hackin' infiltrator. People just wanted the information. It should be noted that Max was also mocked for getting duped by Diego's bullshit:
Diego also got more advice on how he could better archive instead of dumping unreliable Imgur links:
Diego's roll out of the leaks was very confusing to the point that Josh entered the thread asking someone to explain what the fuck was going on in simple English:
Attempts to answer Null's question about Diego's unorganized leaks:
Diego himself would also admit that it was very disorganized and he didn't bother vetting it because the information was "literally retarded" and could not really be used for a case against Max:
He also butchered a reply to someone begging him to actually take the advice he was given in the thread going forward with a promise that he would try to:
He was also called out for doing a complete 180 by first saying he cared about the victims and their information only to later dismiss it as retarded in an attempt to match the current sentiment of the thread:
There were more posts telling Diego nobody gave a shit about his gay little treehouse detective group and to just post new information if he had it or shut the fuck up:
This is a minor detail but like many things here, it will become relevant later, so do keep it in mind. Diego PMed @CharcoalChkn to share his information and get some advice. @CharcoalChkn mostly glossed over this, gave Diego some basic forum etiquette advice and referred him to @Burning Fanatic for more help:
The next day, Diego would try to join back into the thread by bringing up something that was already covered earlier:
The day after that, user @Mrsneksnekson made an attempt at organizing the clusterfuck that was Diego's leaks into a more understandable format:
Diego thanked him for this:
He also appreciated getting some praise for at least trying to go in and get the information:
Things seemed to be on the up and up for Diego. Sure he kinda bungled the investigation and posting of the leaks, said some dumb things, and struggled to implement advice he was given, but going forward he'd improve right? Well, on January 25th, 2024, the next day, Diego made the following post:
In this post, Diego said that he was "snaked" by people involved in this MamaMax situation and they somehow got his and his family's information, which he feared would be used to dox him. Diego was told that he was the one who decided to come to Kiwi Farms to post this shit, so the onus was on him for not being careful, which he agreed to:
He then made an even longer post explaining the leaks and made claims that he freaked out because he was scared his little sister's nudes would get leaked:
Diego elaborated on what that meant when asked:
Diego was advised to actually report threats of posting his sister's nudes, as that was serious, but Diego replied the people threatening him deleted their messages immediately when he replied to their Telegram accounts. He still said he would file the report:
He was called out for how badly he handled this by joining the forum without taking the precautions it warns you to take before registering:
Diego then resorted to self-depreciation calling himself a random mentally ill tard online and swearing he would never do this shit again:
As a result of this retarded behavior, Diego, who was stressing out, was told to log off because he wasn't helping himself making retarded posts, not listening to advice from earlier and sharing personal information about himself that he shouldn't be sharing with anyone on the Internet:
On January 26th, 2024, Diego would make a post on his profile announcing he was logging off for good and abandoned his account:
Don't get the wrong idea, this wasn't the end, this was merely the beginning... Before moving on, let's summarize Diego's behavior, know as the Campisi Cycle™:
Diego joins Kiwi Farms to leak information on a lolcow.
Diego wants credit for his leak, but also shits on other leakers and calls them clout chasers.
Diego initially claims he's doing this leak because he cares about the victims.
Diego claims he has an entire team of similarly low IQ retards helping him with his "investigations" and that it's super serious work.
Diego and his team are insistent that they do the investigation correctly so that their targets "can't get away with it".
Diego keeps promising he will post more instead of just posting the information all at once.
Diego's handling of the investigation is extremely disorganized, hard to follow and he doesn't archive a single fucking thing, leaving other users to come in and do the work for him.
Diego is given advice by people that he refuses to listen to and is insulted for how poorly he's conducted himself up to this point.
When people in the thread say his information is a nothingburger, Diego pivots to also saying it's retarded information despite claiming to give a shit about the victims earlier.
Diego then tries to move on from the flack he's caught by pivoting the discussion with old irrelevant information. He also PMs some users who he thinks are friendlier towards him for advice.
Diego then starts getting worried about retribution from both the people in the thread and the people he's looking into.
These enemies of his somehow managed to obtain his dox and threaten to release it as blackmail.
After being told he's an idiot for letting that information slip, to stop sharing more of it, and that all this is because of his decisions, he decides to log off and leave forever abandoning his account.
Now it would seem that this MamaMax episode was a one and done thing. However, this was just the beginning of a repeated pattern of retarded behavior from Mr. Campisi that he would continue to repeat. It's important to highlight this in detail and keep the Campisi Cycle™ in mind going forward because Diego seems almost completely incapable of learning from his mistakes.
Second Cumming - Animal J. Smith
After reading about Diego's bungled MamaMax leak and how everyone told him to log off (something that even he said he agreed with) you would expect a decent hiatus before anymore Internet activity. However, it wasn't long before Diego was back on the Farms.
Diego's second account on Kiwi Farms was @LifeIsCancerYourCancer, which he created on February 2nd, 2024:
You may recall that he abandoned his first account @PonytusPussLord454 on January 26th, 2024, so he was only gone for a week.
Even more hilarious is Diego's first post on @LifeIsCancerYourCancer would be in the MamaMax thread where he would talk about himself, probably in an attempt to come off as a completely different person:
Now he initially seemed to have gotten away with posting under a new name, but in retrospect, this was an incredibly obvious sock. Although he also still couldn't insert images properly into his posts, he did at least learn how to archive links:
This time however, Diego wouldn't dwell too much on MamaMax, likely wanting to move on from the previous disaster, so he decided to branch out and post in other threads instead. He would take a decently long hiatus before posting again as he made a single post in the hbomberguy thread on March 7th, 2024, and then took another break until April 10th.
On April 10th, 2024, Diego decided to start posing in the Keffals thread. In his post, Diego would mention that he was in Catboy Ranch (CBR), Keffals's grooming Discord server where he helped get kids DIY HRT behind their parents back:
Diego mentioned being in the server for about 3 months and was puzzled why nobody had really archived it yet. This wasn't really true, as people had actually posted screenshots of Catboy Ranch in the thread already. Diego asked if he could be his "autistic self" and post screenshots to which he was told to knock himself out:
Diego then linked Catboy Ranch and offered to help fill in the gaps and share some screenshots from his 3 months in the server:
He would make a summary post of the server with a screenshot of notable individuals within it like Vaush, Tipster and Brianna Wu:
Interestingly, and again something that wasn't caught at the time because he hadn't really established himself, Diego, when called out for not thumbnailing his images, said he assumed full images would be better, but he also mentioned wasn't new and had been using the Farms for months:
He continued posting information about the server such as its tier system:
Lucas still posting in the server despite leaving constantly:
And how minors were posting in it:
More on the point of minors being in the server, he would then make a post about a minor named Bella in the server that many prominent CBR figures were aware of:
However, it was pointed out to Diego that Bella was not actually a minor and he was simply a retard who couldn't understand what Bella said regarding his age, thinking a post where he said he liked classic rock and then turned 14 meant that he was currently 14:
On April 14th, 2024, Diego would make a major post in the Keffals thread:
In this post, Diego, who claims he took 10 advils and didn't sleep the entire night to look into this, talks about an organization called Rainbow Passage that was created by a friend of Keffals called Euphori Tori. Rainbow Passage was meant to be an organization that helps support trans people find homes and "escape danger". Another notable thing Diego discovered about Rainbow Passage was that one of its team members was a man named Animal J. Smith, who was a literal AIDS ridden faggot who was into pup play and had a 9/11 trauma fetish. Diego's next post about the organization showed how sketchy it was as he found a trans YouTuber named Suris who posted about trying to work with Rainbow Passage but never paid him. He also linked the Rainbow Passage Discord which Animal was present in:
Then on April 16th, 2024, Diego would make a post where he mentioned that he contacted several other YouTubers and brought their attention to Rainbow Passage and Animal J. Smith. He claims his efforts managed to get Animal J. Smith to resign from Rainbow Passage and he posted his resignation letter:
This Animal J. Smith debacle would also lead to a really funny sideshow where Tipster,, noted Keffals orbiter and tranny chaser, would promote and support Rainbow Passage:
Meanwhile, Bowblax would actually look into Rainbow Passage and call out Tipster for promoting a very sketchy organization:
And while all this was going on Animal J. Smith was harassing Diego on Twitter and threatening to sue Diego for exposing that he was an AIDS ridden faggot in charge of a suspicious charity: @Null would actually feature this post site wide, giving Diego the most attention he's ever gotten so far on the forum. Diego would also continue insulting Animal in the thread:
As the talks of Animal were taking over the Keffals thread, it was suggested that Animal be given his own dedicated thread:
Diego would continue posting in the Keffals thread about Animal, such as Animal continuing to threaten Diego on Bluesky:
Diego also requested spy.pet scans of Animal, Tipster and Keffals:
And as the discussion of Animal continued and more people offered to help give him an OP, Diego himself offered to assist with it:
A PM group with Diego, @Admiral Throbnelius, @Musashi's Son, @Josephine Knezevic and @Nuclear Waste would be created to work on a dedicated OP for Animal:
Diego didn't really contribute too much to the thread besides all the posts of Animal threatening him and anything he already posted in the Keffals thread. Things started to seem off with Diego though. On April 24th, 2024, Diego would make a strange reply to a profile post telling him to thumbnail stating that he needed to stop posting and focus on "irl stuff":
This wouldn't really last as on April 26th, 2024, Diego would be back to posting and share a Facebook statement from Animal complaining about Kiwi Farms "slandering" him and Rainbow Passage in the Keffals thread:
He would also post Animal's Facebook account and various posts he made sperging about transphobia:
On April 30th, 2024, @Musashi's Son would finally post the completed Animal J. Smith thread:
Now that Dr. Rapebotnik finally had his own thread, Diego would be free to post about him, right?
Not exactly. On May 10th, 2024, Animal would post another statement talking about harassment from Kiwi Farms. In this post, he refers to Diego as a "young trans women":
A little behind the scenes for the Animal J. Smith OP: When the OP was nearing completion, Diego would PM several of the OP writers with weird messages about how he had to leave Kiwi Farms because his account apparently was "compromised" and his "girlfriend" caught him on the site and didn't like it. These writers not only posted their experiences writing the OP with Diego in Animal's thread:
They also shared the weird messages Diego sent them before leaving:
Basically, this entire time, the only reason Animal J. Smith was threatening Diego was because Diego was actively taunting him in Twitter DMs (and told this guy he was a tranny too), meaning that Diego was cowtipping. It also explains why he was so eager to abandon his account with flimsy excuses before the thread released, which he did on May 1st, 2024. Musashi's Son would call him out in Animal's thread:
Essentially, Diego was performing retarded gay ops where he tried to play both sides, antagonizing Animal J. Smith, posting about that on Kiwi Farms, so then Kiwi Farms would look into Animal J. Smith and start a feud between the two, while he would then flee once too much heat was on him.
You probably are getting déjà vu reading this autism as it feels like a total repeat of the MamaMax situation. You'd think after getting a lot of shit for how poorly he handled the leaks there, Diego would learn from it, but in many regards, he actually got worse by the time he was dealing with Animal J. Smith. While Diego feared retaliation from MamaMax, just as he did from Dr. Fagbotnik, Diego's fear of MamaMax was due to leaking his Discord and not directly confronting him. With Animal though, Diego directly contacted him and bailed when he couldn't take the heat, leading to him making bullshit excuses to absolve responsibility from a conflict he directly caused. Sure he fucked up a second time, and now had two abandoned accounts to his name, but you know what they say, third time's the charm, right?
Third Time's The Charm - Chris Tyson OP Rewrite and Further MrBeast Investigations
So after poorly handling the MamaMax Discord leaks and fleeing the scene after getting Kiwi Farms and an AIDS-ridden Eggman lookalike into pup play with a 9/11 fetish into a small brawl, that cost him two of his accounts, Diego would take another stab at making his mark on Kiwi Farms, with the hope that he wouldn't repeat the same stupid mistakes as the previous times.
Quick background on the big Chris Tyson drama that was happening at the time. First, in April of 2023, Chris Tyson, a close friend of MrBeast, trooned out and divorced his wife. This was an awkward situation for MrBeast as he was in a lose-lose situation where he didn't want to denounce Chris, his friend, but was simultaneously alienating his audience by not addessing it. Chris trooning out got people to look into his Tweets. In particular, one of the most damning things that was discovered was Chris's support of the controversial pedophile web artist Shadman and lolicon:
As a result of Chris getting exposed for his connection to Shadman, there was renewed discussion of the controversial web artist, including people making lists of everyone who had associated with Shaddai in the past:
Diego would register his third account @TheThreadIsDead578 on June 4th, 2024, roughly a month after abandoning his last account and when this drama was really starting to take off, especially the posting of the Shadman logs/lists:
Around this time, as this Chris Tyson controversy grew and more people were talking about Shadman, on July 21st, 2024, @Admiral Throbnelius would begin doing a rewrite of the Shadman OP due to the original being extremely lacking in information and wanting to have a reliable source on Shadman's past controversies on the forum: @Null would merge the new OP on July 30th, 2024:
Diego's first posts on this new account were actually in USPG2 talking about the Trump assassin:
He would try to claim that Thomas Crooks was not the person who tried assassinating Trump:
He eventually conceded he was wrong after some arguing in the thread:
Diego would make his first post in the Chris Tyson thread on July 24th, 2024:
He would continue posting in the thread to share more updates/archives from his investigations into the ongoing MrBeast case. Possibly seeing that @Admiral Throbnelius just did a Shadman rewrite that was inserted on July 30th, 2024 and being inspired by it, Diego decided to start work on an accompanying Chris Tyson OP rewrite, which he posted on August 3rd, 2024:
He would even cite/reference @Admiral Throbnelius's Shadman rewrite in his new OP and suggested people read it:
However, when Diego first posted his OP rewrite, it had a lot of problems. Besides unthumbnailed image, unattached images (including porn), duplicated spoiler tabs, and a confusing lay out, the big thing that everyone noticed was Diego decided to use large obnoxious BRIGHT PINK TEXT throughout his OP. Another minor detail is Diego intially posted this in the Chris Tyson thread and Null had to move it to PG so Diego could properly work on it as per the standard OP rewrite process on the forum:
It was such an eyesore that @Null immediately posted in the thread asking what the fuck Diego was doing and to focus on making his post organized, presentable and easy to follow instead of putting all his efforts into pink fucking text:
Other users also harshly critiqued his OP rewrite:
Diego would attempt to respond to these criticisms with edits. Josh advised him to switch to BBCode to remove all the fucked up formatting errors present in it:
Another weird thing that Diego was fixated on for his rewrite that he was criticized for was his attempts to respect Chris's heckin' pronouns:
Diego's reasoning for this was he wanted to cater his rewrite to a wider audience so people who didn't like the Farms would read it. He believed that avoiding any transphobic language and focusing purely on the allegations of being a lolicon pedo would make more people give it a chance. It was pointed out to him that there really isn't any point in doing this because those people he's trying to appease would never give this site a chance to begin with:
He was also told to focus on making the damn thing readable before caring about who was going to read it:
Diego would implement several of these suggestions to make his rewrite more readable. @Null would even do some tweaking himself to get the ball rolling before asking Diego if it was ready to go:
A day later, on August 14th, 2024, after confirming his edits were done, @Null would finally merge the thread:
And he would feature it on the site:
While there were a couple of hurdles to jump through like Diego's dogshit formatting and writing choices, he was able to successfully complete the rewrite and have it merged. Diego and his Chris Tyson OP would even be nominated for the Best Rewritten OP category in the first annual Bufords, an award ceremony on the forum for forum users. His rewrite would get 3 votes:
Diego had finally made it, after two failed attempts and lots of setbacks along the way, he was finally in the big leagues with other effortposters getting Buford nominations and the recognition he craved. Diego had reached his peak, but from here, he could only fall...
It seems that posting a rewrite on Chris Tyson and getting it featured sitewide by the ooperator may have gone to Diego's head and convinced him that he was a proper private investigator. In fact, it seems to have given Diego the idea that he would be the guy who would finally bring down the MrBeast Empire. When MrBeast finally got his own lolcow thread, Diego would post in it saying he was inspired to make a thread on a tranny named Eret who was also connected to MrBeast:
He would actually post this thread but it was complete dogshit, being a [WIP] thread with no content:
Diego presumably must have believed that he could get away with this because he was now a trusted OP writer due to the Chris Tyson thread being released from PG and featured. Of course, don't forget that even though that thread of his left PG, it needed a lot of hand holding and intervention from the ooperator to make is passable. As for this Eret OP, it was deleted by staff after someone complained about nontent OPs like it shitting up PG:
Diego would try to remake it later and actually posted some content. It should be noted that Diego's Chris Tyson rewrite is the only OP of his to leave PG and be merged, all his other OPs were stuck in PG limbo:
You'll also notice most of his other OPs were for MrBeast associates, and he even tried remaking the Eret OP with more content but he never finished it:
And by the time he made his final thread, the Snark Reddits thread, he couldn't edit it because his privileges were removed following him being flagged as a DFE risk due to his later actions that will be covered subsequently in this OP:
Let's get back on track. Diego had finished a Chris Tyson rewrite and came to believe that he had dealt a crushing blow to MrBeast and that if he kept going, he could topple the entire MrBeast Empire. Diego would try to make threads on MrBeast associates but they would often go nowhere and end up unfinished. There was one associate that he would target and put all his energy into, which ultimately be his undoing...
On September 7th, 2024, @Chainsaw Man would create a thread on MrBeast associate Jake Weddle:
Jake was a disgruntled former MrBeast employee who made a bunch of videos denouncing Jimmy and his practices while working for him. Diego would start posting in this thread on January 14th, 2025, where he claimed that he was editing his Chris Tyson OP to account for the Jake Weddle allegations, that Jake Weddle's thread needed more love and that Jake's credibility was in question:
Another thing Diego hyperfocused on was Jake talking to a 13 year old and said 13 year old's interactions with Jake's ex Lex, who Diego believed deserved a thread. Diego would make a massive post about his findings in the thread:
Now it would be one thing if Diego was just documenting and archiving this shit, but the spectre of cowtipping was looming. Diego decided that just archiving wasn't enough, and that he would go on to infiltrate the Discord and try to get in contact with this minor to further expose Jake. Throughout the year, Diego would begin his deep dive into Jake Weddle and even start messaging other effortposter Kiwi Farmers he liked in PMs about his progress. Initially, they paid little attention to his niggerbabble and skimmed over it, giving him basic archiving advice and going on with their day without much thought as they just assumed he was doing SNCA archiving and nothing more. However, by August, a little more scrutinity was put into what he was saying and doing, especially after seeing Diego's blatant cowtipping, a more serious investigation was done into his Weddle investigation and the gay ops he was pulling against a literal child. All of this just to take Jake down and own MrBeast. This would be the start of Diego's...
ThreadIsDownfall
In early August of 2025, Diego would begin to PM several users that he believed were effortposters interested in his investigations. One example was Diego PMing @Markass the Worst and mentioning Rose Mulet: @Spectate was also contacted by Diego who told him about his investigations into Jake Weddle, which involved contacting a 13 year old off site who claimed to be a victim of Jake:
This would motivate Spectate to look further into Diego's posts, which many of the people he PMed would glaze over because it looked like a bunch of SNCA niggerbabble. What Spectate found was the reason for this was because Diego used ChatGPT to write up his posts such as in these examples which includes a tangent about Jake Weddle:
From these many leaks, an NDA sent to Diego by u/ednamode23/homoaspien was posted which leaks Rose Mulet's real name, Jack Krieger. The NDA also showed another alias of Diego's "treesofwisdom" which was his Discord account:
On August 15th, 2025, Diego would make a profile post where he would powerlevel that he fucked up on his Rose Mulet investigation:
He admits to doing gay ops and is confronted by @NaggotFigger and @Relinquish in replies to his post:
Ultimately, he would concede that Relinquish was right. Following this exchange, Diego would PM Relinquish and reveal that somehow Rose Mulet was able to obtain his dox:
Diego would later clarify that Rose Mulet got his dox because he gave it to Lex, an ex-girlfriend of Jake Weddle, who made multiple allegations against Jake:
Diego would also mention that he wanted to make a lolcow thread on Rose Mulet, and in that same thread, he would expose Rose's manipulation and blackmail against him. Relinquish would then reupload Discord logs from a server dedicated to collecting information on Mr Beast (and another for Beast Games 2024) that Diego shared with him. Diego was known as SillyGoose in this Discord server. The logs also are really cringe: Secret-Lab MrBeast Infogathering Server Logs Link Secret-Lab Whatsapp Group Logs Link
Relinquish would also advise Diego not to make a Rose Mulet thread. Diego believes that Rose still intends to destroy and dox him anyway:
After the discovery of his Discord ID, @troonshine would scan the Discord account and discover several servers Diego was in. One server was "PC Help Hub" and "Facebook Find Your Partner Server", among others:
Spectate and Relinquish would dig through the logs Diego shared and find a lot of embarrassing stuff. This includes Diego saying "I'm not like most kiwis", various threats made towards him, and alluding to wanting to hack a 13 year old to get logs with Weddle:
Markass the Worst would share some PMs he received from Diego while all this was going on. In these PMs, Diego wanted to work on the rewrite for the Chris Tyson OP, however he said that the mods got angry at him for taking too long and found four individuals connected to Chris Tyson, who in theory, could disclose information about Chris if they were indentified. He was also scared of getting sued. He would share multiple logs of these chats
On August 20th, 2025, Diego would send Relinquish another PM with a voice message about how he fucked up the situation with Jake Weddle:
He sounds exactly how you'd expect:
He would continue messaging Relinquish:
This is Relinquish's understanding of Diego's niggerbabble post:
Snow / @sn0wballz_, the minor that Jake Weddle supposedly groomed, and her brother asked Diego to make a document detailing the allegations and everything that happened.
Diego "worked out a deal" where if he finished the document and exposed Edna (r/mrbeast snark moderator runs a MrBeast fan account) and Lex's (Jake Weddle's ex-girlfriend) wrongdoings, then Diego would be allowed to speak to Snow's parents, and she would permanently leave the internet (He says that this agreement was made on the phone).
Snow asked Diego to not call Jake Weddle a pedophile.
Diego says that he MUST go with Snow's wishes because if he doesn't, he risks losing contact with her older brother. Diego says maintaining communication with him is essential if he wants to ensure Snow actually goes offline (Relinquish does not understand why it is so important for him to make sure that Snow permanently leaves the Internet).
Diego says that Rose, Edna, and Lex are threatening him with his dox if he doesn’t portray them favorably in the document while criticizing himself.
There's some guy named Steven who's involved in this (probably a games journalist) who has contacts with Taylor Lorenz. Because of this, Diego is afraid that she might get involved.
Diego is afraid that if he releases the document and his dox gets out, people like Eret (A tranny from DSMP and Chris Tyson's friend) might use it to discredit his OP rewrite on Chris Tyson.
Diego also says this: "There is a reason though why a lot of creators are looking to destroy me and that is because of the weird shit I found with a MrBeast employee seemingly being in contact with Lex who Rose is in talks with."
Diego would also ask Relinquish for advice on what to do going forward:
Relinquish would tell him to just "say his truth" since he was making a document towards that goal. Diego would give it the rating
Seems settled right? If only you knew how bad things really are. Diego would proceed to drop an insane powerlevel in Relinquish's PMs:
In this post, Diego would admit he used to be in the Catboy Ranch and say that ACEMI is the one who tried to get Diego to make a Rose Mulet thread. Diego at one point though of himself as a transgender woman, but was just "an autistic man who wanted friends". His story is extremely nuts, and mentions a lot of familiar names (including Tipster, Loomie, and MamaMax). Not only did Diego do gay ops, but he also mentioned that he had a previous account on Kiwi Farms @LifeIsCancerYourCancer:
Remember those documents Diego shared to Relinquish in that earlier PM? Spectate would start to go through them a bit: Strong start in the first document:
This is a 2 page document (with a third blank page) explaining the Jake Weddle/Snow drama.
The second document is a full in-depth 143 page timeline of the Jake/Snow drama, from the first contact of Snow, to the CC, to Jan 18th 2025. Most of it seems fine except for the fact that Diego literally fucking REDACTED something that Snow said yet still put it in the document:
This third document is 400 pages long. Diego cites legal codes to claim that Lex blackmailed Jake Weddle goes over the shit that happened in the Discord server that Relinquish linked not too long ago. This was the one with the 31 images from ImgBB:
Pure schizobabble from everyone involved:
More redacting for some reason: Relinquish would continue messaging Diego and ask some questions about his past, his accounts, abandoned accounts, and motivation:
Diego's response:
Diego said he would provide logs:
This would then be published between him and ACEMI. Trees is Diego and the other is ACEMI:
DMs - https://mega.nz/folder/QhRGWLDZ#lQe_N6SLJns2nB_tO1pTLA
GC - https://mega.nz/folder/IkY3HSRL#XFWTP0HCzYLL8Ojp_K629A
Some things to note:
1. He apparently "lied" about being trans to Rose and Lex so that they wouldn't think he's "transphobic"
2. "I did some retarded gay ops and made myself sound like an overly supportive gay friend"
Scorpion From MK would point out that while Diego is afraid of Rose Mulet doxing him and Taylor Lorenz writing a dox article on him, for some reason he now wanted to provide a dox for a thread. Relinquish asked Diego about this and he would respond:
He also sent a voice message explaining himself:
Later, Diego would send a guide on how to make a thread on Rose Mulet "without being transphobic":
Along with another voice recording:
The situation just keeps getting more and more ridiculous and retarded. Relinquish would get a direct message from @Medic about Diego. Medic informed Relinquish about a PM he received from Diego. In this PM, he informs Medic that, apparently, Mrow, a lolcow Medic wrote a thread about, and his goons are very eager to dox Medic:
The Mega file attached to this PM is a conversation between Diego and Rita/PixelPro. Rita is apparently a known doxer and "predator hunter" in the Chud Logic (Another Commentary Streamer) community. PixelPro is Rita's Alt, which he used in Mrow's server and also to lurk PirateSoftware's server. He admits to it in the PMs with Diego. He was active in the PirateSoftware Discord server, talking about IP grabbing and swatting. But there's also another thing that stood out in this leak, this fucking retard sent the document to Rita, despite knowing that Rita is a known Discord schizo:
After getting this PM, Relinquish decided to ask Medic two questions. First, about Medic's OPsec, since he seems to be quite concerned about getting doxed, and second, about how Diego got himself involved with Mrow in the first place:
Medic responded with by explaining his OPsec and elaborated on how Diego got involved with Mrow. Apparently, Diego got himself into bullshit with Mrow after he found out that Mrow was spreading le hecking misinformation about Kris Tyson. Diego later found out that Mrow had an inappropriate conversation with a 17 year old and was given proof, but Mrow and his goons on Discord then blackmailed Diego. Mrow now thinks that Diego is Medic, because the latter made a lolcow thread on Mrow. However, the threats of doxing seemed to have scared Medic, and he said that he's "not gonna touch his own thread with a 50-foot pool":
Relinquish would reassure Medic that these threats are white noise and that he should not be worried about it. Medic then informs Relinquish that Diego made another PM with Rux in it:
Relinquish would receive another DM export from Diego with Steven Asarch, a Rolling Stone journalist with contacts to Taylor Lorenz. Steven recognizes that the whole shit is just a gay op and tells him to stop engaging. He would not listen. Capmiserable is Steven, the other is Diego:
Quintheo, a Sloptuber responsible for a lot of PirateSoftware videos, was also in the MrBeast investigation as well:
Later, Diego said he is apologetic about his actions and claims that he blocked people involved with the "investigation". He would continue to do gay ops in the same sentence, which admits that he cannot give up:
Full message from Diego:
Featured on Sep 12, 2026 by Null: Hasan Piker is being sued by Larry Klayman for over $150M. Larry alleges Piker’s streams incited violence against American Jews who support Israel, making him fear for his life.
Here are the filings that Klayman filed against Piker. Now it's not for the reason that Piker claims it's for.
Klayman is not disbarred contrary to Piker's claims. Klayman was suspended for two years for misconduct because he sued his former client Judicial Watch without consent and in a 2010 harassment case he let personal feelings wreck the representation, unilaterally hiked his fee, ignored the client after she fired him, and published confidential details. Also a suspended lawyer can still sue other people in a pro se capacity.
Piker is being sued for reckless endangerment, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and declaratory/injunctive relief. This likely will get dismissed for lack of personal jurisdiction anyways.
Tomorrow, the citizens of Sachsen-Anhalt will engage in one of the most sacred political rituals known to man and elect a new state parliament. The German establishment is terrified of what these citizens might use this ritual to achieve, because Alternative für Deutschland is polling consistently above 40% in that state. Democracy is good, except when people vote for the wrong parties. Then democracy becomes very terrifying and basically the same thing as fascism, or antidemocracy.
Imagine that it’s October 2026, and one of Germany’s 16 federal states has come under the control of a far-right government for the first time since the Nazi era. With an absolute majority in the state Parliament and one of its own installed as state premier, the Alternative for Germany, or AfD, quickly begins implementing its agenda. The interior minister announces an emergency remigration program: abolishing asylum, revoking the residence permit of any foreigner convicted of a crime, pledging to review all naturalization decisions made during this century, and incarcerating those designated for deportation. The government stops classifying Ukrainians as war refugees and ends their social benefits. European Union flags disappear from public buildings. The mainstream press is shunned in favor of influencers aligned with the party’s ideology. The government authorizes vigilante groups to act as an auxiliary police force in regions with high crime rates.
You could be forgiven for wondering whether the Amadeu Antonio Foundation is running some kind of deep-cover pro-AfD campaign. All mainstream press coverage, activist whining and cartel-party rhetoric seems dedicated to the singular goal of constructing the AfD as a genuine alternative to the present dysfunctional political order of the Federal Republic. The enemies of the AfD want nothing more than to convince voters that the party will prove powerful and effective if given access to the levers of power. They will remigrate the migrants, fold up the rainbow flags and restore order. “Please don’t vote for the AfD, they might well just fix something.”
Some weeks ago, Der Spiegel ran a cover story on Ulrich Siegmund, lead AfD candidate in Sachsen-Anhalt. The piece called him “The most dangerous man in Germany” and supplied cover art evoking wanted posters from the RAF era:
“The AfD are hip and cool, countercultural, borderline illegal! Definitely don’t vote for them!” Inside, the piece mainly just complained about what a charming man Siegmund is and how effective he has proven at political messaging. Rarely have I read anything at such cross-purposes to the clear goals of its authors. These are levels of stupid we haven’t really seen in the German press since Covid. Undirected neuroticism and hysteria are making everybody dumb.
So the message, in summary, has been: Don’t you dare vote for the AfD because voting for the AfD might actually work. If you vote for them the left will get really pissed off and do some rioting, also a lot of bad economic things might happen for vague reasons we just pulled out of our asses, also it might ruin your children’s career prospects and also all the migrants might just leave Sachsen-Anhalt out of pique.
Nobody will be surprised to discover that this rhetoric has not worked and that AfD polling numbers remain strong, but I at least am a little shocked that we haven’t seen any more serious anti-opposition efforts of the kind we witnessed in the run-up to the European elections in 2024. Nor have we seen any hardball efforts to fortify the election, for example by lowering the 5% hurdle for Landtag representation. The reaction to this looming political defeat feels simultaneously resigned, depressed and directionless.
The chance that the AfD will win an outright majority and enter government above the district level for the first time in their twelve-year history stands in my estimation between 30% and 50%.
Everything depends on how many parties make it into the Landtag. As you know, smaller parties that fail to win 5% or more of the vote are excluded from representation entirely. The more parties that fail to cross the 5% hurdle, the smaller the percentage required to win an outright majority of Landtag seats. Right now it is completely certain only that the AfD, the CDU and Die Linke (the Left Party) will get more than 5%:
It seems more than possible that the SPD will make it into the Landtag as well – they’ve recovered slightly from their mid-summer doldrums and are back around 7%. The Greens are at 5%, and have at best a 50% chance of making it. Everyone now thinks it’s increasingly unlikely that the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) will get much more than 4%, as momentum has turned against them; and nobody believes the liberal FDP has a shot here.
The possibilities that await us tomorrow are therefore these:
1) A three-party Landtag, with SPD and Greens both failing to get more than 5% of the vote. In this case, there is no doubt that the AfD will have a clear majority of Landtag seats and that Ulrich Siegmund will be the next Minister President Sachsen-Anhalt.
2) A four-party Landtag, with SPD scraping in but the Greens falling short. In this case, the AfD will need to outperform the polls just slightly and capture 43% or more of the vote. This is conceivable but it will be close.
3) A five-party Landtag, with SPD and Greens both achieving representation. In this case, the AfD will almost certainly not win the vote share necessary for a parliamentary majority.
I think it’s possible (though I’m not totally certain) that our surveys are overestimating support for the small parties in Sachsen-Anhalt across the board. Most of the polls, remember, consist of percentages that are weighted according to the prior assumptions of the pollsters. Earlier this year, most polls seriously overestimated small party performance in Baden-Württemberg and Rheinland-Pfalz, because these pollster assumptions were wrong. If that trend repeats in Sachsen-Anhalt, then it’s probably going to be SPD struggling with the 5% hurdle and the Greens well below it. Another reason to think this might happen, is the fact that turnout tomorrow is going to be enormous, if not record-setting. High turnout generally makes it harder for smaller parties to drag themselves across that crucial 5% mark, because it is the big parties and not the small ones that send most of the people to the polls in the first place.
Lest you think this is all motivated reasoning, you should know that the best outcome, from the establishment and especially the Union perspective, is an outright AfD majority according to either scenario 1) or 2). Should the AfD narrowly miss this goal, the Union would be compelled to seek support from the Left Party to form a government – an eventuality so distasteful to Union voters in the East that it could well result in an AfD government anyway, as many Union back-benchers would be tempted to defect and vote Ulrich Siegmund into the Minister Presidency.1 The ramifications of a political fuckup like this could well take down the Federal Government. Sven Schulze and the wider CDU fear the implications of being forced to cooperate with Die Linke so much that they’re contemplating a strange and unprecedented move to block the formation of a new government in Sachsen-Anhalt entirely.2
1
Siegmund has said he will not seek the premiership if his party does not have a majority of Landtag seats, which would seem to foreclose this possibility, but he has to say that right now – he wants people to vote for his AfD and not for other parties hoping they can get AfD anyway. What happens after tomorrow in the event of a near-miss for AfD is according to me still highly uncertain. 2
If all non-AfD parties have a majority among themselves, they can theoretically work together to keep the election of a new premier off the agenda. The new parliament would thus refuse to vote for and install a Minister President and Sachsen-Anhalt would remain in the charge of a crippled and frozen caretaker government under Sven Schulze, potentially indefinitely. We would achieve levels of Our Democracy never before thought possible.

A new identity theft service launched on the dark web this week is selling digital scans of more than 153 million drivers licenses from people in the United States and Canada. Based on interviews with individuals whose licenses are available for purchase on this service, it appears to be siphoning images collected by a widely-used identity verification company based in Louisiana. KrebsOnSecurity also has learned that the New Orleans field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) today launched an official inquiry into the source of the images.
A record available at this identity theft service that includes the drivers license for U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is one of several high-ranking U.S. government officials whose drivers licenses can be found for sale.
On Monday, Aug. 31, a source alerted KrebsOnSecurity to a service advertised by a new user on the Russian cybercrime forum Exploit, offering access to digital scans of identity documents on more than 170 million people in North America. The source brought it to my attention because the proprietor of this identity theft service offered my Virginia drivers license as a free sample in their initial sales thread on Exploit.
The service, dubbed Nexus, claims to have more than 153 million drivers licenses for people in the United States and Canada, as well as more than 10 million identification cards; more than three million travel documents and/or international IDs; and at least 579,000 medical cards.
A quick look around Nexus finds they are likely not exaggerating about that 153 million number: Running a blank search in Nexus (with no search parameters entered) returns approximately 11.5 million pages of results, with roughly 15 results displayed per page. It includes documents from people in both Canada and the United States, but the bulk of these records are on Americans: searching for just Canadian drivers licenses returns approximately 1.1 million results, with the largest concentration from Ontario (473,673 records).
Curiously, the identity records include not only drivers licenses but also marijuana dispensary cards. Some of the records list their “source” as “CDL,” presumably short for “commercial drivers license.” Other records carry the source notation of “CAC,” which may refer to Common Access Cards, government issued identity cards that grant physical access to government buildings and secure rooms.
The people behind Nexus claim the license images are coming from an active breach at “a major identity verification company” whose customers include multiple Fortune 500 companies.
The record totals listed by the Nexus identity theft service. The number of drivers license records increased by nearly 400,000 in the span of just 24 hours.
“We have been continuously exfiltrating new data for over a year into our private database,” the service enthused in its introductory post on Exploit. “Records are available to preview before purchase with pertinent information redacted. Customer photos are displayed if available.”
Indeed, over the past 24 hours, the number of drivers license records listed as available in Nexus has increased by nearly 400,000, suggesting that freshly stolen license data is being harvested and uploaded to this service on a semi-regular basis.
The record that features my drivers license includes six image files — three pairs of photos of the license’s front and back — a basic image scan — as well as infrared and ultraviolet versions of the same images. A date and timestamp is appended to each image file, and the timestamp on my license scan corresponds to a date in June 2025 when I took a flight to the midwest United States to attend a family funeral.
Some of the 153 million+ license scans — including mine — feature six image files with date and timestamps appended to the filenames. Not all records include photos, and some that do feature photos do not display the associated filenames.
Intent on discovering the source of this data, KrebsOnSecurity asked more than a dozen friends and family members for permission to search for their licenses in this service. Each person whose license could be found (nine of them) confirmed having traveled on or very close to the dates in the timestamps attached to their images. It is unclear what timezone these timestamps are in, but from reviewing car rental records shared by several people who helped with this research, it appears the timezone is set to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
At first, I thought the source of the data might have something to do with airports. However, that theory went out the window when it became apparent there were no passports in this data set. Also, only some of those who helped with this research said they showed their drivers license at the airport on the day of their travel. One person whose license was in Nexus hadn’t flown at all recently, but was renting a car from Hertz for several months around the date of their timestamp.
Two of those who agreed to help are federal employees who said they shared other forms of government identification when passing through airport security. However, those individuals each said they shared their state-issued drivers licenses later that day when renting vehicles at their respective destinations, and that both rented their cars from Hertz.
After finding a note in my calendar for the day of my June 2025 flight reminding me to bring my passport, I remembered that I also never actually shared my drivers license when I went through security at Reagan National Airport on that day because I did not yet have a Real ID, a security-enhanced drivers license that is now required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for all domestic travel. Instead, I showed the TSA agent my government-issued U.S. passport.
Here’s where it gets interesting: I was able to find my mother’s drivers license in this service as well, and the timestamps for her images are just a few seconds apart from mine. That’s notable because we both handed our licenses to the Hertz rental car representative at the same time.
According to my mom, the only place she gave her drivers license to that day was the rental car company, and if memory serves that is also true for me. I don’t recall if the rental car representative inserted our licenses into any kind of machine, but I remember they held onto them for several minutes behind the counter while we were signing various forms. KrebsOnSecurity sought comment from Hertz and will update this story in the event they reply.
Zach Edwards is a well-known security and privacy researcher who recently launched a service called DecryptAds to help people better understand how online advertisers are tracking them. A scan of Edwards’s drivers license is available for purchase on this identity theft service, and Edwards said the timestamp on his record corresponds to the middle of a trip last month to Las Vegas for the annual DEFCON security conference.
Edwards told KrebsOnSecurity that although he did not rent a car in Vegas, he did hand over his license at the TSA checkpoint, at a marijuana dispensary in Vegas, and at his hotel (the Aria). But he said the only one of those three that for sure scanned his ID in some kind of device was the dispensary.
To enter Planet13’s weed dispensary in Las Vegas, one must pass through a red telephone booth. Image: Zach Edwards.
Edwards said the dispensary he visited that day was Planet13, a multi-state chain with stores in California, Florida, Illinois and Nevada. In 2022, the New Orleans-based identity provider idscan.net published a press release announcing an exclusive identity verification agreement with Planet13’s dispensaries nationally. IDScan says it processes ID verification for more than 1,000 marijuana dispensaries in 19 U.S. states.
The “trust” page of idscan.net states that the company provides identity verification services for numerous big brands, including Hertz, Target, Fedex, Motorola Solutions, the financial services giant Jack Henry, and Caesars Entertainment. And as idscan.net’s own documentation states, the technology scans IDs with both infrared and ultraviolet light. Idscan.net says the company’s systems and technology perform more than 21 million verifications monthly, at more than 20,000 locations around the world.
Image: idscan.net.
Contacted by KrebsOnSecurity, idscan.net said it was investigating the matter, but the company has not yet shared an official statement or a substantive reply to specific questions sent via email.
“At this point I’m not able to share any additional information, but the updates you have provided have been welcome, and helpful to our team’s investigation,” wrote Jillian Kossman, a marketing and operations leader at idscan.net.
During the course of my research for this story, word apparently got around to the FBI that I was poking at the apparent source of this new identity theft service’s data. Probably they were tipped off when I shared with a trusted source that Nexus also is selling the drivers license information for the assistant director of the FBI (I did not find FBI Director Kash Patel’s license in Nexus).
Earlier this afternoon, I was added to a conference call with a half-dozen FBI agents, including senior leaders from the agency’s cyber division. During that call, the FBI shared that earlier today their New Orleans field office opened an official investigation into an apparent breach involving idscan.net.
Edwards said that as more in-person and online experiences require sharing drivers licenses, vendors who collect this sensitive data need to be held to a higher standard.
“This episode should further strengthen the resolve for people who are fighting back against online ID schemes which are requiring countless providers to ask for drivers licenses in order to access services under the guise of protecting kids,” Edwards told KrebsOnSecurity. “These systems are putting sensitive data into more and more 3rd party vendors, and we don’t have nearly the oversight to ensure they are safe.”
Larry Baldwin is principal intelligence researcher at the cybersecurity firm Cybera. Baldwin said a front and back scan of his drivers license available at Nexus contains timestamps that correspond to the date of a car rental from Hertz on a recent vacation.
Baldwin said the Nexus identity theft service presents multiple serious security and privacy threats, noting that state-issued drivers licenses are commonly used as proof of one’s identity when opening new lines of credit. Baldwin said the service could also dangerously expose many people who do not wish to be found but who cannot meaningfully change their appearance (or at least not enough to fool today’s AI-based image matching tools).
This category of people, he said, includes those fleeing domestic violence, and even people who have been assigned a whole new life and identity as part of the federal government’s witness protection program, which is generally reserved for criminal defendants in racketeering and conspiracy investigations who agree to cooperate with federal authorities.
“Just when it seems like we’re making some headway in improving authentication controls through drivers license verification systems, this happens and the very thing those improvements are dependent on are compromised,” Baldwin said.

"If I'm still streaming 6 years later, I'm a failure. It's just that simple. It will make no sense for me to be streaming 6 years later unless I had at least 500K subs. If I'm still streaming 6 years later I'm a failure in life, quote me on that shit. If I'm still sitting here streaming and if I'm not acting and I'm not doing this, not doing that, n***a I failed in life." -Dale "LowTierGod" Wilson

Allies of President Trump have backed a law that would block British regulators from enforcing online safety rules on websites based in the US.
A bill filed by Michael Rulli, a Republican congressman, would bar US courts from recognising or enforcing foreign fines related to online speech.
Ofcom, the British communications regulator, has repeatedly pursued US websites breaking the UK Online Safety Act, issuing fines of hundreds of thousands of pounds and saying it can work with American law enforcement to enforce them.
Rulli’s bill is understood to be supported by senior members of the Trump administration, which has criticised European regulators for trying to enforce its laws on American companies. The bill is known as the “Granite Act”, an acronym for “Guaranteeing Rights Against Novel International Tyranny And Extortion”.
Rulli told The Times: “Foreign bureaucrats do not get to decide what Americans can say. My bill makes clear that if a foreign government tries to punish an American for speech protected by the First Amendment, that judgment is dead on arrival in our courts. The constitution protects our right to speak freely. It does not bend to Brussels or London.”
Ofcom has the power to impose fines of £18 million or 10 per cent of global annual turnover, whichever is higher, if companies do not comply with regulations under the Online Safety Act, which was passed in 2023.
Under the act, websites have a responsibility to protect users from illegal content and to block children from seeing harmful material.
In March, Ofcom fined the US messaging platform 4chan £520,000 after finding it failed to put in age checks to prevent children from seeing pornography on the site, which has 1.4 million monthly users in the UK.

Preston Byrne, a lawyer representing 4chan, responded to threats from Ofcom with images of hamsters, joking that the notices would be shredded and used to line their enclosures.
The platform, alongside Kiwi Farms, a discussion board that often facilitates the harassment of online figures and communities, jointly issued a lawsuit in the US courts seeking an injunction to stop Ofcom.
The regulator responded, asking for the case to be dismissed because its actions were covered under those of a foreign government, protected from being sued under US law.
Rulli’s bill would repeal that protection in free speech cases, allowing US citizens who have been fined by foreign speech regulators to obtain a court order stating the fines are unenforceable.
If fines fail, Ofcom could still take measures to stop the sites being viewed by a UK audience, including applying for a court order requiring that internet service providers such as Virgin Media and Sky block access.
Similar laws have been proposed at state level, most notably in Wyoming, but this marks the first time a federal politician has put it forward.
Rulli’s version of the bill is unlikely to make its way into the statute book, but it is understood similar proposals could be put forward by members of the powerful judiciary committee in the House of Representatives, with the support of the White House and US State Department
Byrne said: “Granite is not a single bill, but rather a published specification for how to use American law to stop foreign censorship … there are other versions kicking around various federal offices. The odds that something Granite-shaped will be enacted somewhere in the US in 2027 are good.”
Fred de Fossard, director of strategy at the Prosperity Institute, a think tank, said the bill was an “aggressive response to the Online Safety Act and serves as a reminder that Ofcom’s attempts to regulate companies outside its jurisdiction will be met with resistance”.
Milo Yiannopoulos has been apprehended by ICE in Louisiana ... TMZ has learned.
The controversial political personality is currently being held at an ICE detention center, per inmate records. The circumstances surrounding his detention are not yet clear but our sources tell us Milo was detained at an airport.
Milo is well known for his ties to Kanye West ... serving as Ye's chief of staff for nearly two years before the two parted ways in 2024. Kanye is set to perform Friday night in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome ... perhaps the reason why Milo was in Louisiana.
As TMZ previously reported ... Milo was also heavily involved in Ye's political orbit, including serving as director of political operations for his YE24 campaign.
Milo later made headlines when he accused Ye's dentist of supplying the rapper with nitrous oxide for recreational use -- allegations the dentist denied.
Milo has remained a controversial figure for years because of his far-right political commentary and public feuds.
