For the first time since the site started I'm going to put a little effort into a Christmas theme. We've always had Halloween but I've never bothered with Christmas. If you want to submit art for a background montage, I'd appreciate it.

Dimensions are 105mm x 148mm, Portrait Orientation
1050x1480px or 2100x21960px, for example.

I messed up the original dimensions and did not specify if the cards would be vertical or horizontal. Since it seems to be more common, we'll go with Vertical / Portrait Orientation.

Christmas Cards are A5 paper folded in half. A5 paper is 8:5 (in). A6 paper is A5 paper folded in half, which oddly measures at 105mm x 148mm.

Therefore, dimensions should be factors of 105mm x 148mm. If you make a new document with Photoshop and use Print > A6 in Portrait Orientation, that will work.

No requirements besides make it Christmas themed and make it relevant to the forum. General kiwi / forumer or on-topic people.

I want to use the below design I've received in the past, so I will accept A5 as well. This would be 148mm × 210mm and multiples of that in pixels. Since this will be twice as big as other designs, please make sure that your design is worth the space. I will be more forgiving of the smaller ones.

• The new setup is distributed in such a way that even if every working copy of the site is destroyed in a nuclear attack, recovering it will never take a week again.

So it's not just the DDoS mitigation, it's the fiber optics, and the concrete warehouses who are actively capitulating to a few retards on the Internet.

Now that I understand the true depth of the rot and corruption in the system, I will not rely on any single ISP again. It is not possible for them to force us off Tor. Even with DoS attacks, we can mostly mitigate those and keep refining it over time. Improving Tor's performance will become a top priority if our reliance on Tor becomes more important.

The fight is to be on kiwifarms.net, on clearnet, accessible to the average user of the Internet with no special tools or requirements. PSA: Monitor your GPU temps and increase cooling and/or undervolt them if you need to. There have been claims of frying/breaking/worsening GPUs due to high temps. What is this?
Stable Diffusion is an open source AI Art model. Some may have noticed that it took the Internet by storm. Its creations have been by far the most accurate and photorealistic yet, and blow other non-open source models such as DALL-E 2 out of the water. Stable diffusion is capable of both img2text and img2img art generation. The user's way of generating particular art is done by inserting positive prompts (things they want the art to contain) and negative prompts (things that should be omitted).

As an example of the kind of art it can generate using different kinds of models, here is a few examples from /g/




How do I get it?
/g/ has WIP guides for how to locally install Stable Diffusion. There's multiple guides depending on what kind of hardware you own. Long story short, if you are on an Nvidia GPU and on Windows, you're going to have the easiest time installing it. The recommended GPU to generate art is minimum a GTX 970 and its Radeon equivalent. Most recommended is anything from Pascal series and upwards.
