is it that he's actively ignoring the elephant in the room; the fact that he could earn more if he worked on the comic (which he has paid obligations for already), or is it just that he's legitimately too stupid to realise that?

This time last year, Chris revealed that he had hand-crafted 50 Sonichu Amiibo figures. He was getting his Sonichu books professionally printed to sell. He made a special offer for 'Blake Sonichu' Friday which included donating $10 to a local autism charity. This time last year he was really into the cottage industry of the Etsy store.

Even when he was asking for donations at the same time, he was offering things in return. He made a 13 minute video explaining what you could get: Black and white drawings for $10. Color drawings for $20. Medallion or photo/book for $50 etc.

He doesn't offer anything in return in this video. He hasn't mentioned the $10 drawing offer in months. It doesn't even need to be comic pages. He is still taking paid video requests but didn't mention them here. I wonder if he even remembers making all these offers.

It's okay, once Chris goes to federal prison for calling for the murder of our next president he won't have to worry about mortgage payments ever again.

The thing that really gets me is 0:15 "We should could use a lot more help."
This statement isn't a lie, Chris is aware (at least on a subconscious level) that he and Barb are in dire straights.

It comes across really entitled and arrogant. Seems to be a hallmark in these videos, like "Gee guys, I'm not getting the bucks you should be giving me so c'mon, pay up"

And I don't think they are, I think what happened was that Barb complained about paying the bill, and made some comment like "And there's all our money gone" and Chris literally believing that they have no more money until Social Security day.

Dire straights is when Barb's dead and Chris buys Tranny Megatron and the power company shuts the lights off halfway through the month. We're not there, yet...

I am surprised we haven't heard something about him having to eat frozen veggies or TV dinners verses going to a restaurant as an example of how poor they are.

If Chris tried to use his Youtube channel to entertain the people who care for him, enough to donate to him, more often, he might actually find people would be more willing to part with their money for him.

Over the last four or five months, all he's used his Youtube channel for is to deliver paid requests (which he does as half assed as possible), to rant about something that is important enough to bother him (exclusively the Trump presidency) and to make short videos like this when money is tight, trying to gain sympathy and beg for money.

There's nothing to the latter videos either. Even if he speaks in a calm and measured tone and talks about his gratitude like in this video, you can still just feel how resentful he is that he has to resort to begging people on the internet to give him money. Then of course, as soon as his tugboat comes in and he feels financially safe again that's him gone to mostly retreat into the world of TV and video games.

My point is that if Chris is going to be irresponsible with his money and splurge on toys and Pokemon cards while constantly being caught out by sudden payments, like the mortgage, then at least he could encourage people to pay him by being entertaining.

When he says "we'll probably scrounge the money locally" ... are him and Barb begging door to door or something?
Could mean something like Payday Advance, where you show proof that you have a regular paycheck or tugboat and you can borrow off the future check.... for a 20% interest rate. That maxes out at like $200 though, which is why they'd need additional funds.

The whole thing feels like a 6 year old trying to get a sick day off school. He thinks if he can strain his voice a bit and rub his head it will get him what he wants. Unlike a 6 year old however, he can't keep the facade going for even 46 seconds and you can see him forgetting and remembering multiple times.

It's times like this that I am reminded of what Chris' doppelganger Benjamin Franklin said on the subject of helping the impoverished: "I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer."

In other words, fuck you, Chris. I ain't giving you shit.

I thought Chris already used a payday loan place a few months ago to consolidate all of his other debts. If it's true I really want to know how it's played out. Like you said; the interest at these places is ridiculous and we KNOW Chris is perfectly content to just pay the minimums on any debt he has.

I'm kind of shocked they even had $600+ to pay the property taxes two thirds of the way through the month. Barb is somehow keeping biggish amounts available, even if it's only on credit cards and not in cash. A few times this year they've paid expenses in the hundreds which weren't normal monthly living costs.
