The conversations they probably have are about nothing but Youtube videos, brand deals and making money on the Internet, it must be bleak even being in the same room.

If a bomb went off and turned every person in that picture into red jelly, there would be zero net change or impact on society as a whole, and that just about illustrates the regard I have for those types of Youtubers.

Maybe journos of the 2000's/10's/20's. Old school journalism of the previous century tended to be much more respectable.

Yeah, I suppose I'd meant more 'traditional' journalism along the lines of deep throat and such. What was the first instance of the US using that kind of headliner for something outside of a declaration of war? Was it the dude from the IH Cave video? I feel like that's what I remember but I'm not 100%. In any case, 99.9% of digital journos are lazy frauds reporting on nothing.
 
Asmongold is watching a video of a guy going over why online job applications are dysfunctional and are designed to not work, then he stops and says that if you circumvent any system of recruitment, despite how dysfunctional it is, that you are a narcissist and if you disagree with his opinion you're retarded.

Asmongold is a jobless NEET and is out of touch with the outside world, because what he just described as narcissism is exactly how people do get jobs, the entire point of the established online application system is to ignore applicants, which he just fucking watched in the video, which is especially true in coding jobs where the point of ignoring online applicants is to throw your hands up in the air and say "Look government, we can't get any American employees, we have no choice but to hire H1B Visa Indians now."

I'm beginning to understand why nobody respects Youtubers when they have such hot shit takes like this.
 
It's crazy that any given day you can find something the commentary community is doing that'll piss you off but whenever something huge happens there's nothing. They turn into that montage of all of those news networks saying the same thing about, "saving our democracy," or whatever it was.
"Ava Kris Tyson bad but respect xir pronouns," being the current running trend is making me respect RuinedLeon more by the day.

Commentary Community faggots (and a lot of different low effort Youtubers for that matter) will literally say whatever they need to, hold whatever beliefs they have to, and befriend anyone, in order to progress their careers. I don't know how many times I have said something to this exact same effect. It's equivalent to the kinds of ladder-climbers you would see in politics or the film industry.

This is the only way to succeed when your content requires zero talent, and zero creativity, it is literally just reading the Internet and editing videos saying verbatim what you see. The only thing you care about is the next dopamine hit of your views and subscribers going up, the same kind of pseudo gambling that a stock broker experiences when they see an investment go up. Of course you can't actually say anything that may lose you subs or views, your entire career may be arbitrarily dashed by a increasingly complicated collection of automated systems, so you become a faceless fence sitting voice box, that holds a mirror up to whoever they create content for, and talk to, because they have nothing interesting to say otherwise. You swarm with other likeminded creators and pretend you like each other, creating a symbiotic organism that occupies its own corner like a slime mold that eats decomposing trash nobody else wants, and turning it into more useful components.
