It’s not Ye’a narcissism that makes me think dealing with him takes patience. It’s the nonsensical rants. I can’t understand wtf he’s saying sometimes. The TV is talking to him? Mind control? He seems like a nice enough person, but I just find people like that difficult to communicate with.

That's actually not a wrong belief, martyrdom forgives any and all sins in Christian theology. Of course there's the part where you typically die in a painful manner as part of martyrdom so it's not the easiest way to shrive your soul.
