Cloud gaming isn't a bad idea. Internet speeds are fast enough to handle that. However, basing your whole ecosystem around cloud gaming when the technology isn't fully proven is a bad idea. Nintendo is learning that the hard way where some games are digital or cloud only.

you try that when playing from a farm where only satellite internet is the only option you have.
cloud gaming was always retarded, even for games that can accost slow reaction players, if something kills your internet for a while, OOPS there you go, can't play shit.
unlike... actually owning the games where the only thing that can stop you from playing them is no power.

It is a terrible idea because scaling infrastructure at the edge has been the dominant theme for the last two decades in tech and gamers are affluent enough (at least in white countries) and gaming tech cheap enough to scale the edge all the way to their homes.

This idea that the cloud represents a perfectly efficient configuration is retard business slop peddled by people like Jeff Bezos (who himself makes use of edge scaling) to sell more AWS credits.
 
When cloud gaming works as it should, it's a great convenience to have. I'm not denying Internet flexibility or latency during use, especially with PvP games. Say you're on vacation with good Internet, you could pull up your laptop and a controller, log in, pick a game, and play (relatively) seamlessly where you are. No downloading needed.

If you have good internet is the download really a barrier?

My laptop with recent Intel Integrated Graphics seems fine to play anything but Unreal Engine 5 slopfests.
 
I've heard from multiple sources that Bond has been tough to work with, and built a team structure that meant if you didn't follow the vision or questioned it, you were out. Most have praised her ability to strike partnerships with companies and developers, though.

This attitude is pervasive amongst DEI “leaders.” You have to do everything they say or else you are a racist, sexist, etc. But on the flip side when their decisions fail, as they often do, they look to blame everyone but themselves.
