Nu-Fable news before Clockwork Revolution/E-Day and showcasing Dark Souls Japan #173 just to get the Japanese game check like on the previous years.

Late but it turns out Fable 4 is not dead and we will see gameplay footage in 22.
Will it still have the fugly antagonist or will they scrap her and give us one that is good looking? I have no problem playing as a woman. Just don’t make her ugly to look at. Nobody in their right mind wants to look at ugly women.

Fable was a series I really wanted to like. Tried both 1 and 3. Game never really jived with me.

Fable was announced for Atumn 2026, but I'll be surprised if it's not delayed for 2027 because they really didn't show a lot.

The new trailer barely shows gameplay, but they do show a bunch of snippets and try to sell the game.
It has some of the ugliest fucking diverse cast of NPCs I've seen in a while, every possible race on earth mixed perfectly together, except for white of course. The combat looks like Witcher 3 type slop. The open world doesn't look remarkable in any way.
And they missed the charm of the originals and said that the choices and consequences will be hard and "gray".

I have to admit that the towns and villages look good, and ignoring the people inhabiting them they look quite cozy. And some of the mechanics described do sound interesting: mostly the slice-of-life part of the game (named NPCS, schedules, jobs, real-states, npc remembering things you've done). Some of those even sounded like Molyneux bullshit, so I'll be surprised if they turn out well.

Developed under the banner of Microsoft and during the reign of Starmer the Great, why do I have the feeling their "british" humour and their sense of morality will be going from sheer catastrophe to pure, inoffensive mediocrity ?

Beyond that I do find it charming and beautiful and the gameplay seems nice enough for a Fable game. But of course the scenery is ruined by the 50 shades of mystery meat and the NPCs reactions are barely better than Fable 2.

The Fable 4 graphics look good, but the combat didn't seem particularly interesting. They seem to be trying to hype up NPC interaction is a large part of the game, which I find concerning. It's probably going to be super repetitive and boring, and only the most autistic faggots will sink significant time into it.
