That was really stupid of him. He knows people are going to be looking for more opportunities to tie him to that account, and he goes and hands us another one? WTF for? In what way was his account at risk?

Man, if the monkey made him do it, he has to be pissed, because this is almost as bad as naming his account in such an incriminating manner to begin with.

We don't need 5000 different proofs of the Pythagorean theorem either, but it's fun to people of a certain mindset.
And we don't need an 8000 pages and growing thread on what a cautionary NEET tale looks like in real time, but there is a certain appeal to some folk. I for one appreciate the effort to catalogue in full the story as it plays out.

As people have already said, if someone else registered DSP's email to ScopelyID even if he doesn't verify it, it'll tell you that the email is in use.

I tested this with an account of mine 2 days ago. I have not verified it yet it still claims that it's in use. If it is purged out of the system at any point, someone could just repeat the process with DSP's account, so this doesn't really tell us anything.

Also, the registration/authentication form is not unique to Scopely products, they use the Okta application for that so I don't expect that they screwed up. This time they let someone more professional than them handle the security.

Even better, then. Now that the email is already registered, he will be pissed when he tries to create an account, of course considering that this account is not his.

Either way, it's delightful.

The problem with someone else allegedly using the dumpling's email to make an account is the dumpling would be getting all the updates and announcements and not the person who made the account.

Phil sunk like 70k into this account he's for sure going to register it.

Letting you register instead of using a recovery code is the only smart thing Scopely has ever done compared to other gachas using recovery codes.

do you think he's aware of how much he's actually spent or is he in denial and thinks he's only spent a few hundred max?
Same as any other gambling addict. He knows he's spent a lot. But just as long as he doesn't see a hard number he can convince himself that it isn't that bad and he's still in control.

Gamblers always think they can better their situation or come out of a hole if they play just a little longer. @QwahlityKahntent asked a question I've wonder about Dave. I'm sure its been brought up before but with DSP being weird with money he has to have a general ballpark figure, right? Then again I've seen times he let money burn.

But with gacha you don't. It's literally money thrown into a pit. You can't gacha your way out of a hole. At least in theory, you can gamble your way out of a hole, although the odds are against you.

Thinking more of a mind set but yes there is no winning in gacha. I haven't played any mobile game like this but after reading here as a lurker then looking at scopley myself these games have to be called "idiot taxes". With no end in sight or possible prizes(not that it would be much better) while pumping in more cash is some retarded insanity. I understand addiction, why someone would want to play these games while money just disappears is beyond me. The marketing must be that good. Raising Arizona Goodman pic when?

Gacha players (and I would know, Fate's fucking ruined me) always know. You never think about it, but you know.

You know you just burned hundreds of dollars to roll your waifu but you tell yourself you can go f2p now until the next major banner (in Fate's case NA is behind JP so you know whats coming, japan has it worse) but maybe just a few bought roles on the summer servants...

Some gacha games let you play almost totally for free then nickel and dime you for $15 seasonal outfits, which add up fast.

In Phil's case he absolutely knows how much he's spent. He has to. Nobody gachas that hard without knowing. There's even screenshots of him telling people he's spent tons on discord in his clan.

I assume Phil just puts money into a bank account and whales it dry, telling himself its 'fun' money so not hurting anything while refusing to think about how he whaled away 5+ xboxes.

Edit: I will say a major difference is Phil is spending money on CONSTANT pvp events which is baffling since 99% of gachas no matter how fucked don't do that to their players. Its WILD.
