He got 101st place in the "Team Xtreme Contest" that month. Doesn't seem like anything extraordinary.
Phil thinks doing minimum payments and spending your money elsewhere is "getting over" on creditors. Just like he thinks having a 9-5 is for suckers. Would rather have a 9-5 in my thirties and relax instead of doing whatever he does and blowing it on gacha and having to scramble for money in my 40s lol.

Makes sense if you put this way: everything Phil wants should be free, and everything he offers up, even when it's technically free, should earn him money.
Pigroach logic at its finest. Too bad Phil's paypigs don't treat him the same way he treats his creditors and everyone else. Except Scopely, and Phil is their paypig. A perfect cycle of paypiggery.

I want to share a couple of DSP's 2KForum posts that caught my attention, and it’s also a way to show how he himself would most likely agree with the WWE Champions stuff if he was a bystander. A long, semi convoluted story but I’ll post it.
Context: It’s 2014, DSP is playing WWE Supercard (also ridden with glitches) and he noticed during some event that a couple of users gained a substantial amount of points in a very fast, erratic way. So he went to the forum and posted his experience and suspicion on what caused it: them using speed-hacks, hacking the server, or his main theory: taking advantage of an exploit that allowed several devices to play the same account (so by using their friends to extra grind).
It was later acknowledged by DSP that at least one of them (Jonathan) wasn’t cheating, but was just a server side error. They even got along with each other some days after when assigned to the same wrestling bracket. But until then he taunted the guy (that tried to defend himself in the forum) into taking a screenshot of his account and post it to prove his identity, on the implied premise that this forum user was just an accomplice lying in Jonathan’s place, as both cheaters or liars.
This is the first time (if you want to read the rest, it’s in the archive). Just like a professional streamer wouldn’t know how to capture his phone:
And this is the next one. He questions for a second if CatDaddy (the Scopely of that game) is the one cheating, but ultimately comes to the conclusion that refusing to show the account weights heavier as proof, and completely negates the wall-post defense. The comment here shows that circumstantial evidence (far weaker than Champions) seems to be more important to him than words:
His situation is similar in a way, and we know his excuse is that he’s the one with trolls that would somehow hack him by knowing his nickname, but that doesn’t make sense and has easy ways to prevent it.
The conclusion is that his own standards for reasonable doubt convict him here. 2014/DSP agrees with all of you in this thread.
There is truly no limit to Phil's hypocrisy. In fact, "hypocrite" and "DSP" are as synonymous with each other in my mind as "sun" and "star" are. He may be stupid, but he fucking knows when someone has him nailed, he just doesn't acknowledge it because he is the one in the hot seat. To make matters worse, he has no empathy for someone else being in it.
Dood, 2014 DSP is in the past! He's changed, matured! Actual evidence doesn't matter anymore we have to believe his words! Realest motherfucker on the internet for sure.
Also, notice how Phil is not one of the people who, if this had been the case, benefited from said possible coding issue. Tell me: How many times has Phil spoken up about something ethically questionable that he profited from?

Because a screenshot of his factually existing account will SOMEHOW endanger his family, dox his personal informations, will make trolls point and laugh at "something", will give the detractors a win but you don't let mouth drooling terrorists give what they want, makes everyone of his fans who're interested in the evidence a complete brainwashed buffoon because Phil says so. But ultimately as the unspoken reality it would destroy any credibility left and ruin his income and possibly career forever in the process. It's like a scam or something like that, huh.
He can't show a screenshot because the name he used on WWE Champions is the same name he uses on every other game. Then trolls would mess with him in other games.
Wait, that doesn't make sense. He uses TheyCallMeDSP on the other games...

Alright, and now we got some more trolls in the chat.. Mods, you wanna do me a favor and get rid of this guy, please! He's just trying to create drama and spread nonsense, and actively hurt me and my family.
