If he was like this at a real job he'd be fi..............hey..........wait a minute.........

You don't remember Phil's version of what happened at the helicopter plant? He made a computer program that made everyone's lives 100 times easier and sped up everything on top of his normal workload, then the company laid him off (NOT fired, how dare you!) for literally no reason! He kept in touch with all his friends from the helicopter factory and they all agreed upper management was a bunch of dumbfuck kids for letting him go! Then a few years later, because they fired Pigroach specifically, they went bankrupt. And by "went bankrupt" he means "still in operation at the same location with the same products and customers" :story: :story: :story:

For newcomers to the 'tism vortex, I'm not making any of this up. Phil was even worse at telling believable or consistent lies 5 years ago than he is today.

Are you serious? Scopely is the lowest of the low. They wouldn't care if Phil was getting the money by stealing cancer patients' chemo money.
On the other hand, I'm not sure Phil would care if his paypigs were stealing chemo money for him either...

The biggest subtle joke in this is that they sent him for that ACE Continuous Improvement Training. If there is one aspect of business practice that Phil has demonstrated the greatest resistance to, it is making any kind of improvements, be it equipment, practices or 'products' offered. You didn't need ACE training to see that direct capture was an upgrade. I'm convinced they sent him for that training as a joke, because he was so stubborn and ineffective.

Regarding bankruptcy though, Phil was correct that he made more money through YT and Twitch thottery than he would at any normal job that would have hired him. That statement used to make no sense when he told us he didn't make much money, but now that we've got concrete income numbers, he would never be valuable enough to any company to be paid $100k, let alone what he used to make. But he would probably still have ended up bankrupt because he's just fundamentally stupid with money and will always try to live outside his means, only he would have had even less to show for it. Probably only a three star Hulk Hogan.

I forget if it was ACE or A+, but we've confirmed that his father was the coordinator for one of the certifications he got at the helicopter plant. My guess is that David knew Phil was liable to get demoted or fired, so he signed up Pig for something that (he thought) would make him too valuable to let go.

EDIT: Sorry for double posting and for not putting this apology in a third post.

Oh don't worry there. Each of the classic condo tours used to feature a segment with the certificate. Associate Level.
Bonus at 4:40 where Phil explains how he fell in love with a fictional character, and also "Boobies, boobies, boobies, boobies. Titties, titties, titties, titties." The edgy 90's lives on in the heart of the pig.

That video is a goldmine. I spy with my little eye, something beginning with Adobe Premiere for dummies. Nice to see that he's not above buying a book marketed 'for dummies' (though there's no chance in hell he's read it).

The darksydephil clock on his wall is a nice touch. I especially like how he has no idea why the time has drifted so much - either the batteries are dying, it's a cheap piece of shit, or it's the detractors fault for ruining everything.

His description is one of those 'team building' things which you just know he failed at. It also seems every employee has to do it so......

Phail's glorified certificate program.

Does the date of WWE Champions release and Leanna+Dark daring overlap?

We know he's been playing it from release. But a thought occcured, what if this was the reason they broke up?

She confronts him, he says he'll stop, he doesn't, she catches him again, she has a panic attack over it (shes had several) and they break up. She had to get a normal job to help support the house. Hell does her getting a job overlap with WWE Champions?

Classic addict scenario, if all the timelines overlap

Well, he was whaling out on shit 10 years before WWE Champs was released. Lottery tickets to other shitty gacha games.

He's always done it.

not really much of an update, but the memes on the wwe champions twitter are leaking lul

Wrestling seems to be one of his only true joys in life alongside food. The meltdown against pwdubs about the wrestlemania spoiler is really amazing/pathetic, and frankly showed a vulnerability which hopefully trolls will exploit by making future spoilers. Imagine being 38 and behaving this way, and then uploading a video of your meltdown to youtube.

Not hating if there are any wrestling fans here, but what can be inferred from a grown man being that into wrestling? Anything? It might be a cultural thing, but is it normal in the united states for a man Phil's age to be that into it? I think in many countries a grown man would probably be embarrassed to admit they watched it. It all seems particularly childish.

In terms of just being really into something and setting aside the $40k, I don't see it as much different to following a sports team/comic books/games etc. It's ultimately just a soap opera, which millions of people of all ages watch and talk about. Although the odd thing about Phil is he doesn't seem to talk about it at all?

How wild would it have been for Paul to turn one of his passions into a job instead of something he obviously despises?
Now, he MIGHT at some point have been excited to play video games, but I still can't tell if that was genuine or if he was only happy to rake in the generous amounts of cash Youtube paid out back then.

Not sure if people would pay to watch him masturbate. With his fans who knows though.
