I don't think that's the whole story; ever since he's been with Sons of Smackdown he's gotten really cocky because he is pretty much invincible. Just look at how he handled the ween going "LOL IT'S DARKSYDEPHIL" in faction chat - that was months ago and he brushed it off with "mods take care of this idiot lol". Now that he's a co-leader and they've shut down most of their social media there just isn't much we can do to him anymore and he knows it. The Farms going down was just the icing on the cake for him.
Let's be real, he is going to keep spending no matter what happens. So far an ongoing begruptcy, getting booted from multiple guilds, and having to form his own guild because nobody would touch him all haven't stopped him or even made him cut back. At least to me it's hard to think of something that could make him stop whaling short of the servers getting shut down.
He could get banned from Scopely, too, as I frequently harp on.

Most players in gacha games spend little to nothing while Phil's probably in the top 5 percent if not the top 1 percent of whales, unless or until other whales start complaining or boycotting Scopely is going to protect him over other players.
I suspect he'd pick WWE Champions - he wouldn't need to do much damage control since she's already a non entity on his streams and the offhand comments he has made make me think they're little more than housemates who aren't even in the same room outside of mealtimes. If he was willing to let his relationship with Leanna fall apart he's certainly going to have no qualms about doing the same thing with Kat.

It's not fun to compare between F2P players and the Pigroach himself. Phil himself is an extreme WWE whale and if he ever existed on Scopely, then he's in the top 5 of all whales. But then, his rank in the top 5 is going to be laughed by other players because of how much credit card money he spend on a game he's extremely addicted to. One thing I can only described him as just only, "addicted paypig". Simply just because of WWE.
