It’s been said repeatedly ITT through the years but it needs to be said again.

As much of a relentless narcissistic piece of shit he is, every time I read something like this I can’t help but feel bad for Dave. Mobile games are complete cancer that are designed to exploit lonely people with gambling addictions, and that’s what we’re witnessing in real time.
I don't share your sympathy because he is not an innocent victim here: He's gone on numerous rants about how gacha is exploitative and he's overspent on it himself, at least to me that says he knows he's addicted but despite that he refuses to get help. To build on what Olive oil said:
No.
Phil spends his days manipulating people who should NEVER have access to their money.
I am not saying people like OIC.
I am saying those who are CLEARLY not right in the head.
Phil isn't just "accidentally" forgetting a tip here or there either, he is running a scam designed to hide how much he makes and how much frivolous spending is going on. Going back to my earlier point the amount of thought and effort going into this fraud makes it clear that he's not just desperate for one extra pull, he knows exactly what he is doing and doesn't care that it's wrong.

Points taken. I guess I am internally struggling with the sheer lack of hope this man has. It’s funny to laugh at the piggie flail and piss all of his hard-begged money away, but it’s less funny when you imagine a dying 70 year old Phil, alone and drunk, still begging and angrily ranting about how the Medicare people screwed him over again and how his divorce lawyer is a dick and keeps taking his money to give to his bitch of an ex wife.
You say "sheer lack of hope" I say "fucking hilarious": Phil is only funny when he is desperate or angry and we've been seeing less of that lately. Watching the realization that he's wasted his life set in will be the most delicious schadenfreude I can imagine. In the interim we'll just have to wait for the cope when Champions' servers are shut down without even a "Thanks for Playing!" screen.

Phil can go suck hulk hogan's stinky dick and choke on it. I don't feel sympathy for Phil and neither should you. This thread is one of the funniest things in the Philverse, just learn to enjoy it and stop overthinking.

Agree on the hilarity part, I couldn't think of a worse way to spend $100,000+. If he'd spent it on a business venture that failed completely then at least he could say he tried. If you blew it on coke and hookers you'd have some fun, even shovelling it into a Vegas slot machine would give you a minuscule chance of coming out on top. But instead, on jpegs that will become useless the moment the servers are turned off, which to obtain he sits tapping on his phone by himself into the small hours if the morning, having to hide it from everyone in his life. A fitting punishment.

Edit - I was bored so in the spirit of bad financial decisions, I went to the Chevrolet website and specced a brand new Corvette. Even with the most powerful engine you don't get close to $100k, you'd have to spend about an hour added almost every conceivable option to get to that price. And at least that will be worth a lot of money when you come to sell it.

Yeah if phil was just working a normal job and got sucked into a predatory mobile game, I would probably have some sympathy for someone wasting so much money due to addiction/loneliness/whatever other mental health afflictions. The problem is phil is asking other people for money and deliberately being dishonest about where its going. Once you start fucking around with other peoples' money and lying about your finances while asking for more and more money, you're no longer a victim of the mobile game. Phil is also a predator in the same way scopely is.

I'll never understand how this shit is legal. It is blatantly predatory.
For years, I assumed Our Powers That Be would regulate mobile games and streamers who are blatantly financially raping tons of stupid lonely people, including kids. But, it only continues to grow. You'd think there's some kid out there who steal Mommy's credit card and spends a million dollars on WWE Champions that would cause some uproar.

I did this myself with a stupid pirate game, though it was more 80 dollars tops and I stopped on my own because I felt guilty doing it behind my dad's back on his phone. I was a immature kid then dood and I understood the moral ramifications of that.

I only assume this shit isn't regulated yet because of no widespread outrage. Blowing 10 dollars on a mobile game is far different from this shit and sooner or later some parents will get outraged like they did when EA fucked up.

It's poetic justice that he gets conned out of his money due to mental illness that he conned out of retards with mental illness himself. The only thing that bothers me is a hive of scum like Scopely getting the money.

Capitol Hill is in the pocket of Scopely dood, nothing they could do.l

Two dating mission chase cards for sweatyWOman.jpgs in a row? Scopely now detracting openly since he cheats on them on stream with the latest shitty promotion game on console.

Why can't he blow his money on alcohol or marijuana like a normal maladjusted addict? Heck, go buy lottery tickets or play the slots if you're that desperate to gamble your money away. A mobile game addiction? What is he, five?

Well, what do you think is an appropriate age to be playing with a plastic Wolverine toy action figure? I think it’s about 3-4, and Philberg still wanted that at age 30+, then yeah if you extrapolate he’d be a little over 5 by now

Mobile game addiction at Phil's level is mostly about bragging you have more expendable money than others, yet nobody cares or just laughs at you.

Phil does have a serious alcohol problem and admitted to lottery tickets in the past.

Worst part is we know he does have a drinking problem and he recently claimed he had alcoholism. He's screwed up no matter how you look at him.
