Because he has never had to go without. Like even in the most world spoiled ass sense of like drinking way too hard one weekend and having to really tighten the belt until pay day. All he has to do is beg either a dent or a parent to make up that difference. So its not even a lack of knowing how much "work" goes into a dollar. He doesn't know what not having a dollar is like.

Narcissists don't get clinically depressed. They never get down on themselves since nothing is ever their fault. When has Phil taken responsibility or blame for anything since John and Howard left? Never, ever.

Depression is another word, like "alcoholic," that Phil uses for pity tips. Yeah, he's "depressed" because he didn't get a lot of money that day or no one was there to make his dinner for him...but he's not clinically suicidally depressed.

He doesn't even take blame for that. According to Phil, John was the problem that caused everything and refuses to apologize to him (John to Phil) and Howard wasn't actually a friend, he was a coworker (so said Phil the last time he mentioned them). You couldn't pay me a million dollars to believe, even for a second, that there was a moment in Phils life where he generally accepted responsibility for something he caused (that was bad).

I mean... he's friendless, living paycheck to paycheck, he owes the IRS thousands of dollars, his credit is ruined, he's in a loveless marriage to someone who is a massive downgrade from his ex, is addicted to buying gacha and drinking alcohol, his career has been on a steady decline for a decade straight, he has zero savings... He has quite a few things to be depressed about.

My point is none of those are things he cares about. Hes like a tamogatchi. Put in immediate gratification for whatever bar is empty and its all good.

If he were actually depressed we would get streams like that Reikata one he reacted to. That kind of stream/video is a lolcow classic. And somehow Phils never given us one. And no the begging videos don't count. Thats a special category.

I agree with you that Phil is not depressed. I think he lives in such a state of denial his current life doesn't depress him. I think the only time he was really depressed is when Leanna broke up with him.

His narcissistic lack of self-awareness keeps him from really bottoming out and seeing how bad things truly are, so he doesn't QUITE come off as depressed, but he sure isn't in a positive mind state.

Even when Leanna left, I wouldn't say Phil was depressed. It was more frustrated now there's nobody to do his laundry and make dinner. He also obviously played it up for pity donations.

Oh, easily! Along with those Instagram posts of those Lonely Man dinners, those tweets that being single sucks, etc....and it was a ruse to get the one thing that he loves more than anything in the world: money.

God forbid the day Jasper dies, you know he's gonna MILK the ever loving shit out of his death. Hell, I wouldn't put it past him to set up a Febreeze goal. "Uh, guys! So, my office is starting to smell real bad. Now, if we hit the $100 goal, I will spray Febreeze to get rid of the smell. Great, there's this fucking idiot in chat! All these problems he has doesn't affect him now, they will affect "Future Phil", which is an entirely different person than current Phil, so he has no reason to be depressed.

And that is what is going to fuck Phil over....Phil is his own worst detractor. Because future Phil has to pay for the mistakes of past Phil, and Phil will blame EVERYONE but himself, while going "I did everything correct, guys!" He got DAMN lucky during the first bankruptcy granted, because of the coof, but I honestly think that won't be this time around, because he keeps sinking MORE money JUST to keep that 1st place in WWE Champions setting. Hell, I'm willing to bet money that he has financed houses, cars, and expensive vacations to someone at Scopley with his spending. He thinks writing off the spending on gacha as a "business expense" is a way to scream "Fuck you, IRS!", but see here's the thing: the IRS is NOTORIOUS for giving you the rope and letting you hang yourself.

I'm not saying some poor shumuck is going to watch a DSP stream, God forbid, but let's just say that I know how slow the wheels of the federal government operates and they're more than patient to let you keep fucking yourself over...not because they have better things to do than to watch some fat and greasy polock beg dents for their SSI and SSDI checks, but what I am saying is this: all it would take is someone that is a damn good forensic accountant somewhere during audit time, look at the numbers, and go "Hmmm, this isn't adding up." and start doing research with their autistic way for detail. If that day comes, again....IF THAT day comes, the IRS is more than happy to request tax forms for the past five-ten years...but, I'm not holding my breath and neither should you, honestly. I do think Phil knows this, as long as he doesn't raise any red flags, he'll go under the radar with the feds. However, weirder shit has happened.

Again, Phil is going to have to pay for dumping that much money into an app, but....I do think that something is going to happen that is going to cost him money that is going to take away from gacha, and that is going to piss him off even more, because anything that takes away from gacha, it has to wait. Hell, he happily pays the late fee on his mortgage, because he wants to spend more money on gacha.

I think if Phil could stream from a box on Pine street, not be bothered, and he can still have gacha, he would be in pig heaven.
 
Health issues. That's what's going to fuck him. Even with insurance, shit isn't cheap. He doesn't take care of his physical or mental health. Doesn't look like the horse does either.

His house is falling apart. He thinks he's going to refinance. IF they LET him, they're going to inspect the house. Him treating it like shit is and breaking everything is going to cost him big time. So he'll either spend to fix shit (LOL) or fuck himself even more by refinancing at a much higher rate, on a devalued property. That's on top of any credit cards him and Kat have/will have.

Don't you worry. It may take some time, but it's coming. Ryan is the only whale left. He can't do it all himself.

I have zero doubts he’s been taking cards out in the horses name. It’s not like she gives a shit what he does, as long as she has Skyrim and DoorDash.
 
WWE champions has definitely fallen off on twitter, they barely get 10 likes per tweet and almost no comments, most of them are still jabs at the piggy. Would be one of the most hilarious moments in internet history when the game shuts down and Mr tips loses all that money spent.

Don't hold your breath, they don't need new players if the addicts they are preying on continue to spend (they are)
 
I have mixed thoughts about what happens when Champions shut down. On the one hand, we know Phil has played other mobile games in the past and was seemingly fine jumping ship when the game died. He's an addict with no shortage of dealers a few clicks away. Playing a new game might even trigger a fresh dopamine rush as he goes from nothing to buying his way to the top, so he can convince himself he's some sort of god gamer.

On the other hand, Phil hates change and in general is just a manchild who stomps his feet when things don't go away. While he has played mobile games before, as far as we know Champions is the big addiction where he really started spending money, so it's possible he has some form of attachment to it.
