In short - it's not weird that his spending has ticked up post-2019, it's weird that it has ticked up in the last ~year because it is so far removed from the begruptcy and its aftereffects.
You may be discounting how much he made from USD memberships, which would partly explain why the Argentinian hoax made him so visibily upset?

i love having just taken an edible and I click in here to see phil being a fat moron on WWE shit and it's just people arguing about taxes. shit is hype.

But if this thread doesn't have somebody coming here and posting "Phil lied about his business expenses while filing for bankruptcy the IRS will eventually come and arrest him" every other day then what's the point?

Charge back saga and then a WWE Champions spend...who could've predicted this...

Phil is back to playing the hits by double dipping on his dents. Give it a week and he will not have any money for groceries again

I really think he must be signing up to credit cards again to keep this level of spending up.

I think the scam is this:

Well Phil has said he is looking forward to the day he can get credit again.

I don't think he realises that the second bankruptcy won't be as easy as the first one.

He wouldn't have even got the first bankruptcy if he didn't include microtransactions as business expenses.

He can get away with it again.

4 years later and this saga is still completely unfathomable to me
The guild chat is the ONLY place in the world where Phil is a respected gamer. He gets to act the big balls about his roster and give advice, something he's been chasing since before his 4th place at Evo. And he gets to sit on his couch and eat doordash like a sloth whilst he does it.

Phil, to quote John Lennon, how do you sleep?
Personally I can't really spare much sympathy with his dents anymore. "A fool and his money are easily parted." Maybe some time in the past, when DSP hadn't been exposed this thoroughly, I would've agreed. But now? I can't bring myself to care anymore. Anyone who still gives DSP money knows what it's being used, or or their caretaker (Jayde) should, and losing their money is exactly what they deserve.

Since most of it ends up at scopely and won't be used for anything actually beneficial by DSP, it's all good for me. Keep donating, keep spending. Cue "it's the circle of life" or whatever.

Isn't it all but confirmed that every one of his top whales know he blows his money on WWE Champions? Why should I feel bad for them when they continue to give him money?

It’s insane that Phil gave the Sidescrollers interview with this absolutely enormous, shameful “secret” in his life. Guy who begs all day for tips from people on SSDI, just out of a bankruptcy, condo falling apart, spends, what, 25% of his post-tax (assuming he’s paying ack ack ack) income on a gacha game?

How does he justify it? How could he possibly think this is the right way to spend his money? Is he just constantly suicidal because he’s so addicted?

He has no concept of money. He was spoiled growing up, spoiled as a teen, lucked into being paid a ridiculous amount to play video games, lucked into a fraudulent bankruptcy, and now knows that every time he makes up some drama or throws a temper tantrum, he'll get rewarded with more.

He'll be doing his next bankruptcy hearing in person (most likely) and he'll need to explain why he once again overly spent using Credit Cards. They'll grill him harder than they did the first time around. It's not unusual for a person to get away with an easy first bankruptcy and fail the second even if the circumstances were the same.

I feel bad for Jayde. He is legitimately retarded.

The others deserve the lonely, toxic existences they have
