Now think for a moment as to why microbes cause infection far more in the winter than warmer months. The usual answer is people go outside. But they really don't. The same crowd is in the office, store, train, church in the same way all seasons.

However, people do get far more sun and vit D in the warmer season.

I don't think 400 IU is going to do much. 5000 IU of D3 daily is going to get your level close to what indigenous people's are and more in line with what our evolutionary biology wants. A study was done in 2012 that measured this and these tribal peoples' mean vitamin D level was 115 nmol/L which translates to about 44-45 ng/ml. 5000 IU will get you there, presuming you have little to no exposure to actual sunlight. So probably adjust that 5000 down during the sunny season or if you spend a lot of time outdoors. Vitamin D toxicity is believed to occur above 100 ng/ml, so there's a lot of leeway, although I'm not familiar with where that limit comes from, so the truth may be lower or higher.

As for the seasonality of respiratory infections, I'm right there with you that D levels play a major role. I think humidity and UV penetration of the ozone might also be at play, too.

Depressing your immune system by sitting inside all the time and overzealous masking will do that. They fucking deserve it for virtue signaling and haranguing everyone else over masks for a year straight.

Though I don't look forward to them saying it's proof we need permanent lockdown.

News from the land of poets and thinkers (retired): Public broadcasting reports that vitamin D might have a positive effect after all, to the shock of absolutely nobody with a double digit IQ. Branch Covidians are racing to reconcile this with orthodoxy, clinging to semantics: "REEEE it's not that vitamin D helps, it's that a LACK of vitamin D hurts".

I also haven't had a meaningful conversation with a stranger, male or female, since the mask. Very sad. People just don't approach anymore when they can't see each others faces.

Another lockdown is coming, but it will be local rolling lockdown to avoid mass protests.

They've been slowly changing the wording on June 21st and after they lied about May 17th (you can travel abroad! no you can't, we don't advise you travel at all and will make it financially impossible for all but the rich!) I have zero faith that masks will end come June 21st.

My money is on masks becoming 'advisory' sometime in September.
 
I am fully vaccinated but I am going to keep wearing the mask. People don't show any disgust towards me anymore since the start of mask wearing. Previously they would always look away and stop making eye contact. I realized that I may be too ugly and make people uncomfortable. The mask makes me feel more secure and less sad .

The thing about bug people is that they're hyper conformist. As soon as they see the majority maskless they'll follow suit. Right now they're testing the waters, attempting to figure out how to behave. This is an unexpected firmware update, not on the scheduled program, so they're understandably feeling a little discombobulated.

Permanent immunity from a Coronavirus does not and cannot exist. The 'vaccines' are at best prophylactic for severe symptoms, more likely entirely useless and at worse allow people to incubate more deadly coof strains. But whatever the case all of us will catch Covid-19 at some point, jabs or no jabs. People need to stop thinking they can control nature, surrender to the inevitable and get on with living.

I've had covid, long before covid was even known about. A whole region of my country caught, what Dr's called "it's like you have the flu, but a super-strain of it that i've never seen". Some blokes had persistant coughs, one had to go on a ventilator, everyone else felt like shit with flu like symptoms. We bought and sold material from China. This super flu hit us in December 2019.

I agree though, just like flu, you get it worse some years than you do others, but the flu is never going away.

And just like the old saying of "Don't believe anything you read on the internet", "you can't cure the common cold" has been memory holed to the aether.

The "Australians" trapped overseas are mainly non-resident foreigners with Australian passports. The travel bans seem to be extremely popular among native Aussies and their economy is booming now there are no more immigrants coming in. This is making progressive and neocon globalists extremely worried that the current situation may lead to permanent change, and they're now calling for the borders to be opened Covid be damned. The last thing they want are rising wages and living standards for ordinary people.

The vaccines are non-sterlizing and don't stop transmission of Covid. Either they allow travel to resume and put up with a pandemic (with the hope that the vaccines will lessen severity) or they keep their borders closed for the foreseeable future. On the one hand the elites really really want cheap brown labor on the other they know they'll be lynched if they let Apu fly in with the sniffles.

I think you nailed an ongoing paradigm shift in society, specifically that of interpersonal interactions, since the turbo use of social media, dating apps, and the risk of being metooed. That was already a problem before the coof fiasco and the continued mask craze seems to only make it worse.
 
Hi! Fellow kiwi reporting in after getting my first modern shot on Friday: so good news, my arm for the most part has stop hurting! Bad news, is a got swollen red lump on the arm that I git injected on, but it's really not that bad and the brother also got the same thing and fixed it with benedryl, so i’m not too worry about it.

Another good bit of news is (sorry if this is tmi, but I feel it is important to know if you are thinking about getting the jab) my period started on time and seems to be on it's normal track. Yet another reason I didn't want to get pfizer, but I did read some who got moderna where having the same cycle problems, so it is something that i’m keeping an eye on.

In any case, outside of the tender red spot, i’m still doing pretty good so far and will update if anything changes dramatically.

Arghhh, I can't put up with this shite anymore! I'm sick of the scamdemic hysteria and useless online classes that waste tuition fees. I just want to return to normal and do things in person without wearing a mask. Let's hope it won't be like the never-ending November last year! I'll revert to being a Doomer again if this keeps up. (:_(
 
There are protests in Dresden Germany, I've heard it's over Covid restrictions but that seems too simple. Maybe I can look further into it when the headache I have eases off.
