While there is a good reason why the protesters don't want the quarantine site to be where it was (i.e it was close to a kindergarten) wasn't there already news of schools not opening until Feb. 18th? It's not like those schools are going to be used for awhile.

From the video, it looks like there was more press there than protestors. I don't think it takes that much to piss off a few people in Hong Kong against government at the moment.
 
The upside is the virus is live and active in California. Besides the 2 confirmed cases, there are 4 others under observation. One is from Mountain View, this person is not a world traveller - meaning it's probably human to human contact.

Considering the R0, the infection rate, and the incubation period, that means there are a minimum of 12 other infected walking around right now spreading the disease. That number is going to grow exponentially over the next week and they won't even know they are sick.

California has one of the worst healthcare delivery systems in the US. Undocumented immigrants primarily use a) clinics and b) emergency rooms for routine medical treatment. A Minute Clinic is not going to spot this, they're going to hand out Tamaflu and send people on their way. OTOH, emergency preparedness has already kicked in at places that provide real treatment. San Francisco and San Diego are putting out calls to other states asking for nurses to help in a crisis.

We'll see how the socialist paradise makes out. My gut tells me we will see a statewide quarantine before long.

I can only think that perhaps they are afraid the prc would take advantage of the chaos to disappear people. It's stupid, but I can't really blame them. The chinese government has been so forthcoming and honest and all.

So California is confirmed to be lost, Trump should just nuke it now, before they spread to the rest of the states.
 
I just watched a Canadian news segment and they were legit more concerned about racism toward the chinese then the actual pandemic happening. Canada is officially the most backward country I ever seen what a bunch of cucks.

I think it’s an even better argument against multiculturalism. You’re telling me the people that eat bats and live mice and have caused tons of pandemics from their poor hygiene and diet have a culture comparable to centuries of western progress and enlightenment?
