That and there are more factors to immunity than just "are there active antibodies that can be detected right now?".

There is a lot of epigenetics involved with the body actually learning how to produce the proper antibodies and the lymphocytes recognizing the infected cells.
The immunity expires when the antibodies are no longer designed to fight the newer viral(or bacterial, fungal, eukaryotic pathogen, etc.) infection and the lymphocytes no longer know to identify the "compromised" cell.
then go ahead catch it but an illness like coivd19 is very good at unmasking unknown health issues. the common cold is technically a corona virus and we haven't found a cure for that shit in like ever.

Barcelona goes into 'voluntary lockdown': City's 1.6m residents are urged to stay home and avoid groups of more than ten after spike in coronavirus cases
Residents of Barcelona have been urged to stay home and not gather in groups of more than ten in order to fight an increase in coronavirus cases.

But the regional government, in Catalonia, stopped short of imposing a mandatory lockdown for Spain's second-largest city and said the measures were meant to avoid having to do so.

Residents of Barcelona, which is one of Spain's tourism hotspots, are encouraged to shop online and only go out of home when it's absolutely essential, regional officials told a news conference. Nearly 1,300 more people were confirmed or suspected of carrying the virus in Catalonia on Thursday, the highest daily increase in weeks.

Barcelona is where most of the new cases have been identified, according to the region's health department.

In total, Catalonia has seen 79,595 coronavirus infections and 6,913 deaths, out of a nationwide total of nearly 259,000 cases and 28,416 deaths.

The measures to control the new outbreak also involve the limiting of cultural and sports events.

Restaurants will have to limit their capacity to half the usual amount.

The Catalan capital - home to 1.6 million people and one of Europe's most visited cities - has seen its number of coronavirus cases jump from last week.

The regional government's spokeswoman, Meritxell Budo, has said that stricter measures such as a full lockdown would only be avoided by reducing social activity and venturing out for essential activities such as work.

'We must take a step back to avoid returning in coming weeks to a total lockdown of the population,' Budo said, barely three weeks after Spanish confinement measures were lifted.

Residents had to 'act quickly and decisively to avoid finding ourselves in the same situation as in March,' she added.

When the epidemic first hit Spain, the government of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez declared a state of emergency on March 14, allowing it to impose one of the world's tightest lockdowns.

Catalonia and the neighbouring Aragon region, where coronavirus cases have also spiked, are now of most concern to the Spanish authorities, as they watch more than 150 clusters of the virus across the country.

West of Barcelona, 160,000 people in Lerida and surrounding towns were placed under lockdown on Wednesday following a standoff between the regional government and judicial authorities.

Mandatory use of masks, even when outdoors, is rapidly spreading across Spain as officials grapple with more than 150 active outbreaks.

By Thursday, 12 of Spain's 17 autonomous regions had approved mandatory use of masks outdoors and regardless of whether social distancing of 1.5 meters (5 feet) can be maintained.

The new measures come after Catalonia's authorities locked down Segrià County, in which 400,000 people live, earlier this month following a surge in coronavirus cases.

And residents in the regions of Tudela and Pamplona in Navarra, northern Spain, were advised to wear masks and stick to social distancing to prevent the spread of the disease.

At least 23 guests at a wedding in Tudela, including the bride and her mother, were struck down with coronavirus.

In Pamplona, 60 miles north of Tudela, five new cases of COVID-19 were identified in the same family.

The warnings followed the decision to reimpose a lockdown La Marina, which lies 90 miles east of La Coruna in Galicia.

Entry into and out of the town has been banned, with gatherings among the town's 70,000 citizens limited to ten people or less.

Catalonia has over 7.5 million people. That's barely 1% with less than 0.1% of people dying.

Yes, 1,300 people in a region of 7.5 million. The horror. I wonder how many people get infected with the flu each week in Catalonia during flu season?

Now let's just keep torching the economies, causing long-term social damage, and a helping cause a massive spike in otherwise treatable cancer, depression, domestic violence, mental illness, and suicide all so Great-Grandpa Pedro can live another 3 months in the nursing home before he drops dead of COVID-1984 next time they try and reopen.

To those who say that the lockdown is necessary and that it works, whatever. Answer me this.

Why are still doing the lockdown almost half an year later?

Ironically, the time is taking for the lockdown to cease is proving its own ineffectiveness. They said it was like, a month and then it would cease. Well, everyone is wearing fucking masks and being forced to closed down (a lot even permanently) their businesses and the media still keeps saying the numbers of infected keep increasing. If lockdown was working, then WHY are we still in it? It becomes paradoxical.

If we truly needed a lockdown, then the lockdown would have ended a long time ago, especially since its clear its not working. There are other evidences such as Greece not doing lockdown (or if they did it was rather very short) and the rate of infection and deaths are very similar to those who are STILL doing lockdown! What gives? Does it work or it doesnt?

Its starting to reach "Islam is right about women" levels of paradoxes that anger leftists because they cant find an easy solution out of it that doesnt include basically blaming others.

The original idea was that it would reduce spread while public health official came up with something else. But in the States, they did nothing and now infections are now up and there is no plan.

Bahamanian government to Yanks: Pool's closed due to COVID-19. I wouldn't suprise me if Donald Trump would get a "wall" around America of sorts by September, as most of the world will keep their doors closed to the USA to keep their virus number down.

The States plans was to lighten up hospital beds to make room for Covid patients, then increasing capacity (at least my local ones were making new units fit for corona idk whats happening elsewhere) and increased testing. Well now they did all of that, especially the latter, and now they're freaking out when the cases confirmed go up. Like no shit, the fuck were you thinking? Wonder what kind of idiots they hire for planning shit like this.
I don't know about any other area in the world right now but in the States it's starting to feel more and more obvious the lockdowns are just some 8D aerial horseback racing because of the elections. Maybe somewhere else on the planet they actually attempted to lock things down with good intentions.
Also I don't know why but that headline made me laugh, I think the lockdowns broke my brain.

Exactly. Even here in MI ppl freak out about an increase in cases. Never even bother mentioning increased testing. Hospitalizations are way down. Number on vents are way down. But no, the second spike, nay the Reaper himself is here to claim us all!

I have to listen to Ann Arbor women lament all day how nobody is taking it super seriously.

It's. All. So. Tiresome

Section 4 of Broward County Administrator’s Emergency Order 20-22 said:

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but are they saying that people have to wear masks in their homes now?

The "experts" might want that, but enforcing that will be impossible outside of hidden cameras and snitches.

And who would be pathetic enough to willingly wear masks at home in the middle of Summer?

I dont know, VB, I see people wearing makes inside their cars on their own. I guess they could be convinced that the virus is even in their own fucking homes.

I watched a video that said that the way corona is being treated like God in a sense. The high priests, aka, the "experts" of the religion of science say that the virus is everywhere! The air! The person right next to you! Your own son might have it! Wear mask if you want to remain pure! Except if you are rioting, in that case anything goes.

Also, anyone who says that businesses will only be able to open only 30% of their capacity and/or with all these implementations like booking tables, not being allowed inside without masks, used tables needing to be left alone for 15 minutes and etc...they really dont get how business and economics work, like, at all. Not only keeping track of this 30% shit is nearly impossible since each establishment has their own sizes and structures that vary but these implementations are so uncomfortable and orwellian that no one will want to bother going outside and rather just drink or eat at inside their homes. And the bills surely wont altered at all to fit that and most businesses will be forced to close down and the economy will crash slowly but surely.

Its funny how Im more terrified as to how the politicians and elite will use this virus as an excuse to ruin our lives than the virus itself. Then again, we'd rather raise hell over a criminal being killed by the police rather than the goverment making it VERY clear that they can and will ruin you if you dare to mess with them (and sometimes they still will just because). :stress:

I just got back from dinner with a friend at the local mall. (The mall is closed but the exterior restaurants are allowed to continue operating with table in the parking lot.). We had an hour wait for a table... so somebody's out eating... I doubt it's enough to keep restaurants alive long term though.

Its not, take it from me who actually owns a pizzaria IRL, the businesses that are still doing some profit, its clearly not enough to sustain themselves. We got promised this shit would last a month or two at MOST and yet we are almost half an year in it. If you are not a delievery app or a grocery store, you are being fucked sideways by all of this. And the goverments are turning their back on us (well, unless you are an multi-national mega corporation that can just lobby favors from the higher ups to convince them your business is "essential") and we are suppose to somehow still pay employers (as we arent allowed to fire them or else we get a very costly fine), pay the bills and remain standing. All these places werent built to run on such a low numbers and Im actually lucky because Pizzarias can still sell pizzas by delievery or take away, other places are sadly not as lucky...

Fuck, and we were doing just fine in 2019...

So... like... what is going on? Are all the restaurants just dying slowly? Do the governers not realize this is a death sentence?

We werent built to thrive under such tight and orwellian conditions, especially not longer than a month. Businesses that cant make delieveries are fucked (and even then, thats not a guaranteed safe net). As I said, Im one of the lucky ones, pizzaries can still work somewhat, we just cant have anyone at in the establishment itself but many other places around me are closing left and right because they cant keep up with this.
It also depends how the goverment will force us to deal with the aftermath, last thing we needed is to have so many orwellian implementations here that people wont even bother coming anymore. Seriously, try to have a nice and welcoming atmosphire in your establishment, you want to make people satisfied and comfortable...and yet there is suppose to be a soyboy or karen watching everyone like an eagle for any "safety" breaches.

And the goverment either dont know (they are incompetent), dont care (they are evil) or both. We are being told to survive with bills being the same or even increased while our gains are decreased.

And yet they refuse to end this fucking lockdown...It has really reached the point where it cannot be unintentional.

Those governors don't give a shit about the livelihoods of their constituents, why would they care if their economy dies?

When you're not in danger of your income getting stifled or cut entirely, you'll evidently have a harder time empathizing with those that are in danger. Look no further than that utterly tone deaf video of Nancy Pelosi bragging about that expensive freezer full of ice cream.

The people in charge of the lockdowns are governors, legislators, and health departments. The first two groups have guaranteed paychecks just for existing (and for state legislators with businesses, they can make damn sure those businesses get a bailout), and the last group is having insane amounts of money being funneled at it at every level. The departments massively expand, people are making more money, and they're encouraged to over-report cases and pass draconian measures to make things seem even worse and thus get more money.

Nowhere in the grand scheme of things do you or most businesses come into play. Stay in your pod, citizen.

So we'll never see an end to this bullshit is what you're telling me... (:_(

The "experts" and governors might want more lockdowns, but more constituents are getting fed up the longer this farce goes on. The more restrictions and rules they create on a whim, the more unpopular they'll become, and it might get to the point where some of the crazier governors like Whitmer get voted out of office in favor of more lenient candidates.

Or maybe people will snap and start more riots to force those governors out of office in some form, it's 2020 after all.
