Depends on the area. Here everyone follows it, at least before they made masks mandatory (when I stopped going).

Your right, I've been in supermarkets and social distancing may as well not be a thing in them. I had to stop going on that site because as much as I am for the removal of the lockdown and the abolishment of social distancing, their constant Doom and gloom "oh noes the government scared too many people!, lockdown/social distancing will be with us forever!, everyone who wears masks are idiots/morons/bedwetters, etc), the new normal is with us forever!" mindset was not doing my sanity any favours
 
Now that I think about it, I'm starting to think the ongoing lockdowns are warping people's minds now and they are legit believing bullshit conspiracy theories about how the virus/pandemic is a cover for a new world order/permanent social Distancing to keep us in line/maditory vaccines and microchipping and how Bill Gates wants to depopulate the world/government (particularly the UK one) wanting to take away all our rights and freedoms, etc..........I think that type of thinking is more dangerous than the virus itself to be honest

Well we used to have bread and circuses to keep the population from revolting and having delusion thoughts. No amount of online interaction can compensate for proper social events.

I agree completely. And honestly if governments stick to their "no more social events until a vaccine" stance which could be never given I dont think a vaccine is even possible. I fear the amount of public unrest that could occur. Sounds crazy but its possible. I like going to conventions cause it's the one time I get to be around like minded people. Does that mean we'll never have them again. I'm no soccer fan but millions love seeing games played in person. Is that no longer going to be a thing cause of this?
