I don't know if it's every 7-11, but the local one has a sign in the door that reads "No mask no service". I heard something about Governor Wolf mandating that all stores require customers to wear masks. But so far I don't see it being enforced anywhere but 7-11. They also removed all the coffee. and they won't let anyone use the drink machines or the microwave.

I don't think I am going to go anywhere but but the bodega across the street for now. It's getting weird around here.

People need to admit they were played hard and fast by the tiny, yellow menace into economic self destruction.
Oh and that 95% of "experts" are full of shit, actively hate you and want to see your world burn.
Disagree with the first part, but agree with the second part.

I don't think China played anyone with the exception of actively trying to spread the infection for as long as they could so that the Chinese economy wasn't the only one that got torpedoed. At the end of the day it looks like China is going to be hurt way more by this than most other developed nations.

Not sure if MA already officially extended the shutdown, but I just got an email saying my May 12th jury duty was cancelled.

Trip report: went to the grocery store yesterday in a state with madatory masking. Everyone in the store had a mask on, except one shopper in frozen food, big neckbeard type, so it wasn't being enforced. Also there were signs that every aisle was one way, but some shoppers and employees were ignoring that.

One of the replies was the NYC police union complaining that a lot more people are violently resisting arrest because the jails are becoming widely known to be revolving doors whether you're violent or not. Everyone's at each other. NYC is pretty awesome.

Not specific to my school, but there's starting to be talk of American universities going entirely online for the fall. Even some speculation about cancelling in-person for the entire academic year.

What the fuck........
Let's see how many morons are going to put themselves in debt for lectures that might as well be for free on Youtube.

I can't wait until like five years from now when I need my blood drawn from a nurse who learned how to find the vein in an online class.

Lol universities are full of idiot children with zero impulse control that will set couches on fire and throw them off balconies because their school won/lost at sportsball. You can't trust a college student not to run around outside in the dead of winter with no shoes and socks on, let alone follow any sort of directive relating to stopping a pandemic.

If there's one set of American institutions that ought to stay closed until this is entirely over, it's them.

I wonder if it's going to turn out the fucking nutbar in Nova Scotia who shot everyone up snapped because his denture clinic went out of business as a result of the lockdown. Apparently he liked to larp as a cop so he was probably a bit wacky anyway.

It's like they're trying to make real New York, the New York, from Escape from New York.

Cool. I hope they block all IPs from China as well. We need to stop educating the enemy.

Plus it is the only way to get anything to change over in China. Because their system is so fucking stupid, it is a sign of status to be educated in America because Chinese schools are just that shitty. Then they return home and sabotage our schools and industry. GENIUS! Fuck em. Take away their status schooling and the elites will start chattering.

I'm thinking that may be one of the fallouts from this. In the same way we went to war on "terror" there's going to be a massive decoupling effort in the US, up to and including revocation of student visas into the US from China. It'll be likely that anyone soft balling this on the US political end will be exposed as being "in the pocket" of the enemy. As it stands, at a minimum, especially if Trump gets reelected, more manufacturing facilities are going to get pulled back from China, likely invoking DPAS to do it. Hell, if there are debates leading up to this election I expect Joe to be asked every few seconds about his history of being more than comfortable with China for at least the last couple decades.

Pennsylvania shut down the liquor stores a month ago, because the state controls ownership of the wine and spirits stores and they think preventing people from buying vodka is "flattening the curve".

Huge mistake, imo.
How much money is this costing the township/county/state? What the fuck?

The Government filled the skate park with sand, so the skaters turned it into a dirt bike track

But those measures all come with costs.
San Clemente officials said there was no cost for maintenance crews to install the sand, and they don’t expect any cost to remove it.
“We definitely did our due diligence,” Wylie told the Register.
